mouse titan hahaha thats my favorite part

Tyler W

Mr. Ksaver’s Beast was “shown” in the background of his backstory with his family. He had the beast form of a Bighorn Sheep… similar to how Zeke’s was first shown in his backstory during S3

Aaron S.

Wow that was my favorite reaction I’ve ever watched for this episode. You guys really understood Zeke’s feelings and perspective in the way manga readers did that I really haven’t seen as much from the anime only community. So many people underplay just how messed up his childhood actually was to cause his warped perspective.

Zak Moran

Ahh, the episode the cliffhangers go from infuriating, to truly painful. Only gets worse from here 😊

Néo

By the way, there is a hint in the episode of what animal Mr Ksaver's beast titan was!

Krista Han

I CANNOT wait for the next episodes! (I don't know how many times I've said it, but I'm literally shaking thinking about the next ones!)

Justin Spencer

Imagine having to wait a week like the rest of us you’re both truly blessed to just be able to watch the next episode 😂

Zo Hunter

Yeah, I just saw and realized it at 23:32. Was coming to the comments to either post or confirm

Tyler W

Not a spoiler don’t worry… besides he’s dead… it was just a way of showing what Ksaver’s Beast was..

Polygon

obligatory comment to rewatch this episode in Japanese to hear Hiroshi Tsuchida's performance as Grisha in all it's glory. Also, Tom Ksaver has appeared in the show before. In the S3E19 end credits scene, he was the man who scolded Grisha after he bumped into him on the way out of Liberio. He also appeared alongside Grisha's parents in S3E20 when Zeke turned his parents in. Since he knew Grisha from a young age, the decision to have Zeke report them must have been especially painful for him.

Dfd

You guys forgot the opening for season 2 had tons of different beasts You actually already theorized that each beast titan was different based on that opening

Sami S.Y

Zeke's beast is also not useful in war/combat if it wasn't for zeke's individual throwing skills + royal blood (transforming and controlling titans). Remove that and he is a clear liability on the ground. A proof of that is both is all the fights he had with levi and mainly season 4 episode 1 where he couldn't come down from the airship untill it was safe down there. He simply had to throw the last blow on the fleets and he was defenseless when they shot back ---> leading Reiner to think fast and literally become his ARMOR.

Voting for Fmab :)

Ian Mitchell

There’s so much going on in that frame of Ksavers wife and son

Jawrool

Zeke's line before doing the Thunderspear is a tear jerker for me everytime.

Sean Nissen

FMAB for the Montana tearbending

LosDef

Fullmetal Alchemist

Death note

I have to admit, seeing Kenny final having the WTF face on the cliff hangers along with Montana is hilarious

Dallas Gilbert

I noticed the sheep but just thought it was a cute little animal listening in 😂😂

fr0st

They did it that way because he's most beneficial being dropped in last to address the ranged ships. If it wasn't for the scream power, he would just be flanking from a ranged position and throwing devastating projectiles towards the base, so still very useful. No other titan really has that kind of ranged attack.

fr0st

Once you guys finish up part 2 of the final season, maybe a compilation of Kenny breaks the fourth wall would be fun for Montana to react to and for you guys to discuss?

Mark O'Leary

There's a really good line that was cut from the episode. When Grisha was yelling at Zeke about how Faye died due to the world being against him, Zeke points out she only died because Grisha dragged her out of the wall, to which Grisha says "I just wanted to see the airship..."

Brice Morrison

Spoilers for the previous beast titans cuz they are not shown or talked about thus far in the anime so ignore if you dont want to know. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Mr. Ksavers was a Goat, before that there was a Minotaur, snake, deer, and rabbit which would look hilarious like a giant buff guy with a bunny head lol

Hannah N

Of all the characters in the series I wasn't expecting Zeke to be the one that Montana related to but here we are. The most relatable to me is probably Annie Also, my vote is for Fullmetal!

Ashley Garcia

Montana I can totoally relate girl. I also played softball and remember the screams of my dad from the sidelines/: Also I vote demon slayer lol

NinjaNoceros

Lol Montana was about to judo chop your throat when you wondered if Levi is dead

fr0st

You should examine that frame with Ksaver's wife and child's dead bodies more closely and you'll spot quite a bit of interesting content in there.

Papa_Smjördeig

You really should watch Demon Slayer, the animation on its own is worth it. An amazing story and characters!

fr0st

Also, repeating that FMAB next please

Ci-Ci

Grisha is a horrible dad to zeke but he too was once a traumatized child who had dreams that were crushed. The cycle of pain just repeats, passing down that generational trauma.

Demon Slayer

demon slayer

Marcelo

FMAB is also a work of masterpiece

Marcelo

Also hearing your quote reminded me of another one I heard lol. "If only there were evil people somewhere insidiously committing evil deeds, and it were necessary only to separate them from the rest of us and destroy them. But the line dividing good and evil cuts through the heart of every human being. "

Arimpact

"at least they don't have binoculars"... I'm sorry for your childhood troubles Montana. I get it.

Alex

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood next please

minimonie__

fullmetal alchemist as next show would be so gooodd :)) also the dub is great (coming from a sub-watcher)

Stephen Richard

Demon slayerrrr!!! Great reaction, seeing Kenny’s cliffhanger face of frustration as well as montanas is perfect

SupremeCai

FMAB and Death Note have 'surprisingly' top-tier dubs. As someone who's watched both/doesn't really have a preference as long as there's subtitles (hearing issues). Great reaction as always can't wait for the finale >:)

lily whetsell

im up to date on the show and i looked at the image for a while... idk what ur talking about lol im confused.

Andrew G

Dude, real quick, the look on Grisha’s face at the very beginning of this episode- holy GOD was Keith Shadis right about Eren looking like Carla but the knives in his eyes REALLY ARE all daddy’s. Lol I’ve only seen this episode twice lol. Now all I’m going to be looking at every time he’s on screen are those eyes. Jesus that’s almost unnerving to me. I mean they’ve always looked similar before but the HATRED.

fr0st

The dolls in and around the cart, the horned stuffed animal. IYKYK, I don't want to be more explicit and spoil.

Jeffrey Jackson

Death Note, not only is the dub palatable but the show itself is beyond phenomenal you'll love dissecting the characters

Rob Not

An interesting thing about this show on rewatch is noticing just how many characters express the idea that they shouldn't have been born. It keeps popping up again and again and that makes all of this so much creepier...

Andrew G

Finished the reaction: it’s interesting how NOT full of hatred Zeke’s eyes are. - Also I’m a dumbass, I was blown away when you pointed out Mr Xaver’s line “my Beast isn’t suited for war” because I thought he was saying ALL Beast Titan hosts aren’t suited for war and that he was using ‘my Beast’ as like a… Idk how to describe it. I watched subbed first and I just read the line like he was using it demonstrably and affectionately, like a pet almost lol. But no, it was “MY” Beast. I actually forgot Zeke was LITERALLY titled War-Chief lmao 🤣

karstenj10

I know I’m late but fun fact here: The man Grisha was talking to when Zeke was looking through the door was Grice (aka Colt and Falco’s father). I forget if this was mentioned before but both Colt and Falco strove to become warriors to sort of… I can’t think of the right word but make up for the “Grice” name

karstenj10

Also I do think you should rewatch most of the scenes that involved Grisha in sub, Grisha’s voice actor is phenomenal along with Eren’s

AlanRedrew

Late comment: the form of Ksaver is probably the goat/sheep we see in his memories of his dead family. Like Zeke he could have taken the form of a familiar animal such as a puppet

Thiivi

I believe Grice is actually Colt and Falco's uncle, not their father. It's still a crazy connection that most people miss on their first watch!
