Enjoy! There will be a little bit before the next Shera upload, as I came out with 4x12 and 13 so close together, but it will be posted before the end of this month for sure!

Yes! Yes! Yes! HERE. WE. GO.

THE WAY I SCRWAMED AND SCARED MY COUSIN

Ben Torres

WOOO! So excited! I’m so glad I managed to find you guys just as you started Season 5!!! Cant wait to see all your reactions!

Valentina M

😱 I cannot believe we’re here…

MoonriseoverSunset

One think I would like to point out is that the sword was the key to activate the weapon, not She-Ra. She-ra was the only one that could wield the weapon because only she ra could withstand that kind of power. It was all about the sword of protection last season.

Chelle

Ahhhh so excited 😄 This is probably my favorite season of the show, each episode is great in its own way

Matthew Calo

In regards to names and powers: all of the princesses from season 1 were characters in the original She-Ra show this is based on, and their names universally were related to their powers. Scorpia never became a princess in that show, and so only had her regular scorpion based powers, so the added runestone powers are not inherently tied to the character name in the same way the other runestone princesses are.

Matthew Calo

This can also be seen with Entrapta to an extent: in the original show, Entrapta was an actual villain working in the horde from day 1, and her powers were specifically traps for the heroes to fall into (Dryl is very indicative of how her stuff would have been). This version is not a “weekly Saturday cartoon” style like it’s predecessor, so it has a more nuanced plot. As such, a number of characters have more dimension to them than they did in the original, which causes the name scheme to be less on point for those characters.

DoryTheFish

Yes. I don't care it's 5 am in my country. I am here and I love it!!! 🥳🥳🥳

bruna mendes

YEEEEEES, IT’S HAPPENING!! SEASON 5 IS HERE!!!! We’re in the endgame now.

Catradora fan

When Horde Prime can even tell Catra's in love with Adora

JHB

I'm thinking Netossa disproves the "Runestone princesses have names aligned with their powers" idea, because 1) she's not a runsestone princess, and 2) "It's in the name! Net-Tossa? I toss nets!"

emelsi

I am here for the world's longest argument about scorpion powers

Sero

This cheered me up immensely after I had to cancel today's plans -- I may have a cold but I'm not risking infecting my friend [in the minute chance it's covid]. THANK YOU KENNY + MONTANA! ✌❤✌

Suplee215

Ah a 5 minute discussion about runestone powers and Scorpia not fitting the mold. easy reason for this is the runestones were created for the new show and did not exist in the 80s show where everyone just had powers based on their name so when giving Scorpia runestone powers the writers could do whatever they wanted.

Lucas Barros

Honestly, I just wanted you guys to watch the trailer mostly for the Catra version of the song. The trailer hits very hard with it.

XNobodyx

I really liked the banter of you two in the middle. Lol This season is lit, hope you guys enjoy it. Great reaction!

Jenny D

If you guys did want to react to the trailer, you should be good to go after episode 5. Otherwise, I didn't watch it for the first time until months after I'd finished the series (it was actually all the hype in the comments of your videos that made me check it out) and I was still blown away! I've watched it like at least five times now…actually I’m gonna go make that six.

Jenny D

I always took Scorpia's electricity powers as being related to stinging. Granted those two things aren't as related as like mermaids and water, or frost and ice, but when you get zapped with electricity that stings, and both Scorpia's tail sting and her electricity can knock a person out.

Jenny D

I think another important thing to keep in mind from the last episode is that Catra had accepted that she was going to die. When Glimmer found her and was holding the magic staff over her, Catra said, "Do it." She went from being betrayed and emotionally eviscerated by Double Trouble, to thinking she was going to die at Glimmer's hand, to being spared by Glimmer, to being beamed up onto Horde Prime's ship. Now she's trapped in outer space where her options are basically work with him or die. She's had no time or reason to process and reflect on what DT said to her.

Mariana J

Yay! Always a treat when I see a new she-ra post :)

Bear in mind that for hundreds of years, everyone on Etheria thought they were alone in the universe. Hordak has a line about that in earlier seasons. To go from we are alone in the universe to stars, spaceships, so much vastness would be a massive change and Entrapta is the only one who is adjusting remarkably well because everything about space excites her as a learning opportunity.

fr0st

Also yes, when debating powers and how much sense they make, bear in mind that this is a remake and they were constrained in some ways by the naming and powers of the 80s show, which was honestly just meant to sell toys.

fr0st

Also technically Perfuma's powers aren't flowers, it's plants. She normally deals with plants and notably in the Crimson wastes, in roots. Also Glimmer and Spinerella's names have nothing to do with her powers either. It would be incredibly awkward to name generation upon generation of princesses with synonyms for the same powers.

I was old enough to remember the 80s show and toys. And they were really really really really fricken stupid.

Jaron E Ehlers

We made it to season 5! lets go!!! Also so glad you properly met Horde Prime. Truly one of my favorite villains. Just so creepy. Love him.

ZedW

Montana: "Ok, but, how is perfume made?" Me immediately in my head: "Whale vomit..." Also me: "...Ambergris-ella..."

ZedW
>>82009014

Same. I always thought of hitting a light-switch in really dry environments. like static stings. the kind of...biting sting of electricity.

Jenny D
>>82011693

Glimmer is a special case, as she’s the only one who’s parents we know anything about. I think her name is in reference to those sparkly blasts of magic she produces, but I think she actually got that power from her dad. The teleportation comes from Angella, as she used to have to recharge back when she shared the stone with her mom. But I don’t think Angella had teleportation powers, cuz she definitely would’ve been using those to track down Glimmer all those times she snuck out. I’m thinking Angella got her wings from the moonstone. It makes me wonder if the other princesses’ parents had the same powers or if there’s were similar but varied. My guess is they were the same, and that Angella being some sort of immortal being plus her family seeming to be the only one to have a Queen/King effects it somehow. Idk if it’s explained in the original series or not.

that would be spoilers, they could watch the full song separately

Goliver the weird Droid

Scorpia's power is related to the fact that scorpions live in the desert, and deserts have a lot of extreme lightning storms. In a lot of video games the desert area has electric enemies for the same reason, look at legend of Zelda breathe of the wild for example.

She-Ra fans; I've been supporting a reactor on patreon called Van to watch She-Ra. She's currently on season 4, and I think most of her patreons aren't really She-Ra fans, so the videos aren't getting much love. If any of you would like to head over there and show some support for She-Ra, that would be awesome. She's a great reactor and really seems to be enjoying the show when she does watch it. She's been reacting to the show for quite a while now so you might have to search out the older videos. You can find her patreon here: https://www.patreon.com/vanreactions/posts Hope no one minds me throwing a little advertisement here. I'd just love to see her reactions getting more love, and to not feel like such an audience of one, haha.

Krista Han

Welcome to season 5! What a journey it's been, and will be ^^

SupremeCai

This the last season? <.<

hex

I'M LITERALLY SHAKING MY FAVORITE SEASON OF MY FAVORITE SHOW 💖💖💖 I also just want to say I'm so happy to have found you guys because the way yall take this show seriously and really make the time to analyze it and understand the characters is sooo nice and the reason I became a patreon I'm so excited ❤️😭

ZackTh3Ripp3r

so very hyped for this season, this is THE season of she-ra, i love your reactions, love the fact that you take your time, take it all in and discuss it, thats what i enjoyed in the youtube vids and made my join the patreon (you were my first patreon-and still are my only one) i wish i could get into attack on titan- but its just not for me but i adore your she-ra reactions (easily the best around) and am looking forward to what you do after this!!

J. Jenny Jameson

This is literally what I signed up for three months ago.

JHB

Ok, the Scorpia princess power connection: scorpions are famously desert creatures. The Fright Zone, her family's pre-Horde territory, seems pretty barren, and she thrived in the Crimson Waste. Sandstorms can create lightning due to static electricity among the sand particles.. So, if only by "sideswipe" association, the desert princess gets electrical powers.

Crown Magus

All the balanced princesses and Shera with a sword can coexist on Etheria as long as light hope does not activate the Heart of Etheria, last season scorpia connecting to her rune stone didnt activate it but it gave Lighthope the ability to trigger it and use it to pull them out of Despondos.

SweetCandle

I believe the plural of Hordak is Hordeces.

JHB
>>82007946

Add your voice to the call for a "wrap party" react after the finale, where they react to the trailer, the Swift Wind shorts, maybe clips from the 80s version, etc.

bruna mendes

What is the schedule for the next eps? (Do you have one? Idk)

Gabriel Taylor

This episode bugged me so much when I first watched it, Adora was a Hord soldier and a warrior way before she was shera, they even addressed that she had a lot of combat training the first time they went to the crimson waste, now all of a sudden she's not a warrior without the sword? That's bull.

jolly
>>82695321

i agree, but even though she was a horde soldier and warrior beforehand she still wouldn't be able to take multiple bots on at once, she has no shield or protection from their blasts and most likely she got used to being shera for years and didnt train in the same ways she did in the horde - just a thought!

Werrf
>>82695321

Of course she's a warrior, but she can't solo battle robots twice her height or entire squads of enemy troops. The objections weren't to her fighting, but to her trying to fight *alone*.

Werrf

Talking about Perfuma having "perfume powers" - perhaps Perfuma should have had the power to shoot whale poop at people.
