Objectively ymir didn't do anything in life she was a slave and in death she was a slave.

AD

Can’t see the episode . It doesn’t work

Letts React

Sorry for the repost, hope this link works!

LeFlaneur

I wonder if the title is a reference to Two Brothers: Alien Invasion Tomato Monster Mexican Armada Brothers Who Are Just Regular Brothers Running In A Van From An Asteroid And All Sorts Of Things --- The Movie.

Colan Miller

When I try to play the video it says "unable to play video". I'm not sure if it's on my end though.

Mark Romero

Can't on my end either :(

Dallas Gilbert

How are y’all just not going to point out how good Armin looks at 3:53?! 😍😍

James S

The link is still acting up :\

Miles Snow

Absolutely legendary episode

Angel Hernandez

If you didn’t catch it, that flashback scene with the conversation between Zeke and Eren is pretty important to show where Eren stands. Since they can’t touch at that point, Zeke throws the baseball as a symbol for a handshake but Eren doesn’t catch it, symbolizing that he didn’t shake Zeke’s hand and didn’t agree with the plan

William Timmins

'this is such a terrible situation' IE: every episode of AoT. ;)

LK Lo

Marcel definitely said "So that HE (Porco) would be safe." You guys should watch it with subtitles, it helps a lot, or just turn it on whenever you think you misheard something. I always watch everything with subtitles, just in case I missheard something or can't make up what they said. Lol

Nigel Douglas

zeke was a weakling as a kid, but he's a unit right now lmao. jacked af

Nigel Douglas

at 7:56 i heard "so that he would be safe" i think he just didnt pronounce it super clearly

Matt Lievens

I think you need to listen to that again, Galliard's brother def said "... so HE would be safe"

Gabriel Dobson

If you thought this cliff-hanger was mean. For us manga readers the chapter ended with the image of Eren's head been shot off. Could you imagine if they had saved that for the end of an episode lol. Also I do think that Galliard's brother does say "he" no "you". I kept going back and I'm pretty certain it's "he".

LeFlaneur

The vow only affects the Reiss family, a very young branch that's about 100 years old. Royal that aren't direct decedents of Karl Fritz can tap into all the founder's powers.

bellatrix_394

i just wrote a whole novel on why the answer to that question is ymir (freckles) to now realize it was in the wrong comments section😭😭😭

Ghost Turty

NEXT EPISODE IS GONNA BE LIT

Ravn Stevensdóttir

Ok so this is a really serious episode with a lot of revelations and cliffhangers… but can we talk about how hot Marcel looked right before he died? That smirk? Half of his head gone and smoking? Almost gives Levi a run for his money

LeFlaneur

I honestly hate Ymir the Founder. Maybe even more than Gross (whose probably one of the two most sadistic character in the series). I sympathize with her for obvious reasons, but I feel like just Karl Fritz, she made choices that might come from a "good place" but have had such disastrous results for so many people, across so many generations.

Finn

welcome to the best 3 consecutive episodes in anime history

bellatrix_394

I'm doing a short recap on why Ymir is the answer the the last question because i'm not writing all of that again -orphan -cult, just everything that happened with the cult, only because she was treated nicer than being on the streets doesn't mean the cult was a good experience, including ymir knowing she was not actually ymir but putting up a front because she felt loved -trying to sacrifice herself for the people who she made her feel loved, eventhough they were responsible adults who put her in that situation -failing to save her people, getting shown around the streets in chains and getting rocks thrown at her, AS A CHILD/TEEN -getting injected and becoming a titan for 60 years, "hell" and getting so depressed she buried herself -eating marcel, deciding to only live for herself from now on and entering the walls -having to find herself a way to live inside the walls, stealing and who knows what else to survive only to listen to a compelling story and joining the military to find that person -falling in love with historia and saving her from her suicidal tendencies, trying to get historia to be herself and live for herself -facing the friend of the person she killed while in titan form, knowing what would happen to any warrior if they came back 2 short of the titan-shifters she left as -realizing the love of her life would be safer within the walls if eren had the founder but being unable to live only for herself, as she swore she would, and leaving her behind -dying for the people who let her be a goddess for a few years because of how indebted she felt with them overall, probably the most selfless character in the whole show, and at least for me, the one with the most tragic backstory she's just my baby and i will protect her at all costs

It might be obvious when people start reading but I think a spoiler warning at the top would be a good idea

Not Amused

Zeke tossing the baseball to Eren was the equivalent of a handshake and Eren “missing” the catch was the same as him not shaking his hand and not agreeing to their deal. Hence Zeke’s shocked/worried face. And I assume they didn’t want to touch yet because they still were not sure exactly what happens when they do and it’d probably be better to not be stuck in the middle of the main enemy nation (who still had their full military capabilities) on the first attempt.

bellatrix_394

... it's pretty obvious there's gonna be spoilers, ymir already TW FOR S3 and S4 p1 OF SNK I GUESS &$*×*=,×*$£ died back in s3 and her entire story is understood in the beginning of s4, when we get to know how marley actually works... why is ANYONE reading the comments of a video of s4p2 if they don't know the show😭😭

Mr. Soy

Levi and Mikasa both have experienced probably the worst amount of suffering imo.

Hannah N
>>82282367

no spoiler warning necessary, this is all stuff from back in season 2

Hannah N

I feel like overall Zeke has suffered more than Eren and is also a more moral character than Eren.

pineapplegreg
>>82282367

I was gonna something like but this is way better then I could've ever said it. I think al lot of people forget about how much she suffered because she was only in it for 2 seasons

MistyKahn

Zeke had an awful upbringing, but he never had to witness his mother be eaten by a Titan...idk that sounds worse, but again you can't really compare. Love all your reactions, can't wait to see what you guys think of the next episode.

LeFlaneur
>>82282175

I hate her, yes. I don't want to get too much into it on this comment thread, because spoilers. Anyhow, it's not uncommon to have contrasted feelings about something.

Samuel Horwitz

Y’all can’t keep doing this to me, we need MORE. Agh the suspense of seeing your reactions to the next episode.

Coby

death note

Jawrool

Reiner has to have suffered the most. Tries to become a warrior certain that his Marlian father and Eldian mother can be reunited. Becomes a warrior, father rejects him the day he leaves for Paradis. Whole world view shattered. Everything he worked towards, the dream he had, was a farce. Goes to paradis, his friend dies protecting him. Convinces all the other warriors to complete the mission. Kills tons of people. Lives under his enemy’s roof, learns that they aren’t devils. Commands Annie to kill Marco. Mental anguish. Berthold gets eaten. See’s Falco turn titan, tries to save him, Porco dies in his place. Reiner is a man who wants to die, but can’t. He suffers through a fate worst than death.

JennatheBreadQueen

Ahhh this episode is insane!!! And Montana is absolutely right, it’s impossible to compare suffering, especially in the context of this story. It feels like everyone has seen and lost so much, and any amount of that for any single person would be enough to send them over the edge

Julian Cisneros

When season 4 episode 20 isn’t released on 420 😡😡😂

Sami S.Y

Marcel said "HE" would be safe not YOU, kenny. Just sounded mumbled or weird in the dub.

Ashley Garcia

Lmao the shock I felt when Eren had his blown off was crazy lolol I’m so excited for your reaction to next episode lolol

Sami S.Y

Anybody else giggled when kenny said "phew, BIG RELIEF!" lol YALL BETTER BUCKLE UP!!!

David Sikes

such an innocuous title for a bonkers episode

Phillip Meza

Ive been waiting since this episode came out to see there reactions to Eren losing his head 😂 I cant wait for the next 2 episodes 😂 theyre gunna lose their shit

Jesse Ventura

*Not Spoilers* Jaw Titan Ymir woke up in that same place where Zeke and Eren are at after she ate marcel & gained the Jaw Titan Power. ❤️ Nice little throwback

Brandon Domer

This and the next episode are just Eren and Zeke playing Uno reverse cards on each other...

Rebecca Funk

I think he said he but I might be wrong

Ablaze

Can’t wait for this SUNDAYS episode! Thanks for another great upload. Oh, and another thing…….. Death💀Note!!

Ci-Ci
>>82290291

Yes! That’s what makes the show so good, almost every character you can find a way to empathize with or find humanity in. It’s such a horrible situation they are all in and no one is 100% right or wrong. All of them just want the right to exist.

fr0st

Sounds like we need a Montana giggity counter, haha

Ci-Ci
>>82282175

I feel like it’s hard to completely hate her but I’ll wait till next episode cause I don’t wanna spoil. I mean she is/was a literal child. Lol I wanna say stuff but it’s spoilers but I get your feelings on her.

Ci-Ci

God the interaction between colt and falco as brothers just killed me. Colt refusing not to cradle Falco in his last moments before becoming a titan really is devastating.

Not Amused
>>82290291

Yeah plus who’s to say what/how something affects each individual. People could go through the same thing and be in completely different places at the end of it.

JennatheBreadQueen
>>82308514

I cry whenever I think about it too hard 😢 Colt figured there wouldn’t be any chance of Falco surviving beyond turning into a pure titan and he didn’t want him to die alone 💔

Terence

Link not working

Rahul Korrapati

remeber when gabi said eren i will kill you and everyone laughed well she did it

fr0st

Gaby really doesn't miss and we're here for it :D

fr0st

Not really relevant to this video since they don't include the ending theme but man, how long as it been since we saw Eren genuinely smiling the way he does in that ED? So bittersweet.

fr0st

I enjoy that we've gone from Reiner being a standup guy who helps everyone to us collectively going "good" when he's suffering to just feeling sorry for him now. Poor man wants to die but just isn't allowed to because he loves some people and wants to keep them safe. A selfish man would have killed himself ages ago or just let one of the warrior candidates eat him and ended his misery.

Rick

(No spoilers) I was so excited to see this episode! It has major information. The fact that Zeke commanded Falco’s Titan to attack Riener broke my heart! How sudden his scream was! So glad we finally found out what Eren was really up to. Can’t wait for Sunday!

Sean Carroll
>>82281143

No you are very wrong on that. It affects all eldian royalty, the reason it didn’t affect zeke is because the founding titan is not owned by him, the vow only restricts a royal member owning the founding titan. Zeke travelled in with eren as a passenger. Ymir obeys zeke because he is royal and doesn’t own the founding titan. Eren can’t order Ymir because he isn’t royal. If zeke owned the founding titan then he wouldn’t be able to act in any way that goes against the vow.

Sean Carroll
>>82283638

Erens suffering has been the worst over the past 4 years in particular, much more then zeke in his life

karstenj10

In my personal opinion, I believe Zeke’s plan is more morally justifiable than Eren’s. Both are very, very extreme goals and I’m intrigued to see if there’s a split among you two moving forward about which side you will both take 😈

Daniel Schulze

I think death note would be more "discussable"

Brandon Castruita

Omg I can’t wait for their reactions to the next 2 upcoming episodes 😆

HamboneKablooey

Y'all I have been WAITING for this episode. That shot made me scream out loud when I watched. These next two episodes are going to be insane. I can't wait to see y'alls reactions. Also as always, my vote is for Fullmetal. It's widely considered one of the greatest anime of all time alongside AoT and you two are so good at analyzing stories that you HAVE to see it!

Conor Royston

Time to see some 5D Paths Eren chess :D

Jmp010299

I gotta vote for Demon Slayer, just because it has phenomenal animation/moments and while it is more simplistic it still very much shines in my opinion

Derek Rios

Demon slayer is a must!!!

Victreebel91

So there is a moment when Zeke is with Levi that he mentions running “experiments” with Eren. If you think about it, Zeke and Eren had no way of knowing what would happen when they touch. One thing Zeke probably definitely knows, though, is that Reiner and Berthold were able to sense Eren tapping into the Founding Titan when he touched the Smiling Titan. They would have reported as much to him. Zeke was probably concerned that the risk of Marley and the other warriors finding them and taking the Founder in that situation was too great and that it would be best to tap into the Founder on Paradis, where they would be surrounded by an army of wall titans.

Kyle

Fun fact you may have heard this before but the english voice actor of marcel (porco’s brother) is a YouTuber named Nathan Sharp and he does English covers of a lot of different anime openings and endings

Katie Jane
>>82301668

The English dub also kind of took some of the foreshadowing out of Zeke's dialogue about the chains towards the end. In the OG sub when Eren asks why Zeke is chained, Zeke says something sarcastic like "thanks for noticing" and his tone is colder. This is supposed to hint that Zeke doesn't blindly trust Eren and doesn't believe that Eren truly cares for him or his plan, before he actually reveals that the chains are a trick. I wish all OG details like this carried over into the dub, but the idea of Marcel saying "you" would have been a cool unique feature for the dub if they did it.

Katie Jane
>>82319137

I guess it depends how violent you consider mass-euthanization to be, bc it's still a form of violence when you put it in the context of real world instances of coerced or forced sterilization of target groups. Not to mention he told Levi that crushing the scouts with rocks was an act of "saving" them and their future children too. He didn't see the difference between taking them out directly or indirectly. So, both killing people and euthanizing them are equal acts of violence in Zeke's mind, so long as Eldians aren't part of the cycle anymore. Both plans can get binned imo 😆

Erwin Prado

This link isn’t working :(

Andrew G
>>82282367

Ymir is my ride or die man lol. She’s still one of my favorite characters in the show

bellatrix_394
>>82282367

same, she's always going to be my fav alongside a few of the warriors, pieck, reiner, annie, they're just such good characters

Kal
>>82412392

Me neither. Idk why some people can see it and others can't.

Rob Not

We did see children as pure titans before... Conny's little siblings :(

Ben Sarchett

My vote goes to Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood

Andrew Pickett

We saw connys siblings and young eren as pure titans. Eren was 8 right?

Bot 3200

The scene were you thought you heard porco say you he definitely said he so it wasnt a little detail

Simon

Death note or Full Metal Alchemist, the third is just a shonen with little internal consistancy of when a hero is actually weak/ on their last legs and a plot that doesnt generate questions

Torch
>>83491839

I agree with this statement, demon slayer just appeals to the eyes and is more for viewing pleasure instead of provoking any thought or telling a good story. FMA and Death Note are both really great anime to spark some good conversation about.

Riley
>>83491839

Demon Slayer is purely an animation spectacle. The plot is basically non existent, but it doesn't even matter, its *that* well animated. Probably not the best show for them to watch.

Simon
>>82393822

why do you want demon slayer? You want them to watch the show sure, but what do you want them to react too?!?

Ashley Garcia
>>82393822

I just think it’s a fun anime with a good story and characters and the animation is great. Why are you so angry lol
