Just now seeing these reactions. Hearing them say they are big dog people (I am too) is hilarious knowing whats coming up and makes me want to see their reaction to it lol

Joshua Kilpela

So awesome! You'd really enjoy reacting to Fmab!

Darby

the dub features alot of the same voice actors from aot, so be on the lookout!

Chelly

This absolutely has the superior dub out of the three anime you have been considering, and imo it’s best for reactions AND discussion too. So that’s why I hope this one is picked. Demon Slayer might start of stronger for you, but I do think this one is better in the long run.

MossyCastle
>>85004112

Most ironically Jean Kirstine and Jean Havoc have the same VA in dub (though in aot it’s pronounced more like Shawn and in FMAB it’s like jeans)

TheMediator052

"We're big dog people here" 😶 No one tell them

Swanzy

FUN FACT: Korra creators, when designing Asami, got some aspects and designs of her from the character Montana was simping over at the end 👀😂

Ci-Ci

Running for my headphones 🏃‍♀️

Paperbackfantasy_97

Very excited! Hopefully this is the series you continue with!

Shane Gilroy

Honestly, I kinda stepped away after Avatar/Korra. I moved from Charlotte back to Wilmington and had alot going on but still supported the channel cuz I believe in what y’all do. I’m so excited for y’all to start watching Fullmetal Alchemist.

Ryne C. Snyder

I really, really hope you guys keep going with this show. The first episode isn't the best introduction to the series IMO, but hopefully the second is enough to hook you guys. Also, it looks like Montana is gonna need a simp counter for Laura Bailey's voice acting lmao

Niklas Mellfors
>>85004604

I know it has to happen, and that they have to watch it, but why? Just why? Why cant we have nice things?

HamHamJ

I'm honestly pretty skeptical of watching Brotherhood first over the original FMA but based on how much they managed to pick up maybe it does a better job of introducing things than I thought. On the other hand, it is also way more up front about a lot of things.

r3liant

Yes! Fmab is here 😆 really hoping you guys end up choosing it!

Wilmer Victoriano

the best anime one of the best power systems in all anime

DTLA

would be happy for you to watch fmab first, as I haven't watched demon slayer at all and have to catch up before you start :)

Eric Smith

I was wondering if anyone would mention that this episode only appears in this version. I don't know if the adapters thought the first adventure from the manga was tonally inconsistent or what, but it's a weird choice. Super excited for you guys to watch this show, better believe I'll be throwing engagement at it lol

Wilmer Victoriano

all those questions will be answered in the second episode

Manuel Pagan

It’s a terrible day for rain.

Kinon115

So excited for this I love this show!

Tann

a truly amazing show one of my all time favorites I hope this wins.

cryptid

Really looking forward to you guys watching this! And I can’t blame Montana, I watched FMAB in middle school and that character at the end was definitely a big part of my gay awakening lol

Adam Brown

I recommend watching Naoki Urasawa's Monster next. It's 10 episodes longer than FMA:B.

Abby

i really hope you guys continue with this show!!! it only gets better from here

Miles Snow

I absolutely hope this show wins

SkinnyAsAStick

Yes this series needs to be watched reacted to!

Alexander

This show is a master piece you really should watch it over demon slayer just because your gonna reach a point in demon slayer where it’s not done and you’ll have to wait this show is complete and can be fully reacted to!

Nicholas

I really hope you guys continue with this show, I paid 20 dollars because of how much I love it. And everybody please No Spoilers. I know everyone wants to explain the power scaling to them and how alchemy works please don't do that, one of the best things about this show is figuring out how the world works as you watch.

KT Bees

Aaah, so excited to see episode two! Answers are coming... Glad you liked it, hope you end up staying with this series, these brothers are so good. Al is the sweetest thing!

Eric Heim

Please continue with this series out of the three! So good! 😁

fr0st

Love to see it. Looking forward to the second episode which is probably the true first episode in that it will give you answers about the world and characters rather than focusing on a fight right away.

Élina Kressmann

i'm so happy you're reacting to this show it truly is amazing ! I hope you wont get spoiled too much by the comments :o Also small notes, if you replay the scene of the freezing alchimist dying : it is in fact a small round stone that turns into dust, not a drop of blood !

Élina Kressmann
>>85008438

i think they watched the 2 episodes one after the other, but even if, it's not a good thing to spoil people like that :o I think it's better to let them discover the pace at which each mystery is going to get an answer

Cody Simpson

Brotherhood is the anime that got me into anime. I’m already imagining you guys reacting to the many many big moments. Can’t wait for more!

kathmandia

I really hope this is the show that wins, there’s so many interesting things to break down as the series goes on. It really is such a master piece

Warren

I love the original FMA but I've never watched Brotherhood so I'm excited to go on the journey

Benjamin Ortiz

alchemy is a science it's something that's studied and learned and anyone can do it if they put in the work to learn it. As for the "Freezing Alchemist" and other "Type" alchemists people tend to specialize in a specific field of alchemy because they need to know the exact chemical makeup of the elements they're working with.

Jonathan Harding

Your insight is just really great, picking up on things I didn't think would be obvious unless you had watched normal FMA. So hyped for you to watch this great series!

Amelia

I’ve been so excited! Like Chris this is my favorite anime! I have watched it multiple times and it has never stopped making me feel profound emotions each time! I do think this episode is a weak beginning, watching it while trying to put myself in your shoes as a first time watcher I can say that pretty objectively. But I also think (as objectively as I can) that it is also the weakest episode of the series overall. The creator, Hiromu Arakawa created an interesting world rich with flawed characters, deep world building, and questions about humanity, both whole and personal. It truly is a masterpiece!

Haorii

FMA Brotherhood is just so awesome and also the deep personal issues are heavy and I think you will have fun to analyse those and discuss them ;)

Marcelo

I'm super excited for this series. I really hope they decide to continue with FMAB over demon slayer. Also Congrats on the new bling. Kinda late I know but I stopped watching updates after you guys reached aot season 4 part two lol

Ci-Ci
>>85007444

Also correct me if I’m wrong but doesn’t brotherhood actually adapt the original source material? I thought the first show only had the first volume to go off of and then went on and made up its own version of the story.

Russell Gambardella

Ah, FMAB, another one of the greats! It’s a good thing you both decided to watch the first two episodes of all the choices for a variety of reasons. In this case, not that the first episode is bad or anything, but technically it’s not canon. “Fullmetal Alchemist” was a show that caught up to the manga as it was coming out and diverged from the original author’s story. FMAB was produced after the manga finished to follow the authors story to a T. The first episode is kind of it’s original creation just to showcase its different from FMA, but the rest of the episodes basically perfectly follow the manga.

Cornhorn

Just commenting to support fmab.

SomewhatAnonymous

Probably one of my top 5 favorite animes of all time. Just rewatched it about a month ago.

SDH

Easily one of my top ten anime. As much as I like demon slayers art style, I hope this one wins, as I thinks it's greatly superior in story and character, which are my favorite things to see you two's thoughts on.

Andrew G

I’m excited to see this ~~~~~~~~ thank you guys :D

JuanderfulJuans

I forgot these were coming so this is bonus content lol

Marcb92

I would love for them to react to My Hero Academia and Food Wars

CannonHawk

New series!, this should be good, looking forward to whatever is chosen.

Æther Paradox

I'm so excited to see the WILD leaps these two come up with when this show stops crawling and starts sprinting.

Robin Carme

This is an amazing anime and you should definitely make this a full series!

Connla Lyons

Yeah Episode One put me off this series originally. Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood is the 2nd adaptation of the original manga and the first series started off a lot slower then brotherhood so was paced a lot better initially, but was released before the original manga ended so deviates greatly in the 2nd half. Brotherhood came just after they finished the manga and is a lot more faithful but because they knew they were going to repeat a lot of ground of the first series as it was adapting the same material again they did this new intro episode to run through a lot of the fan favourite characters and give a basic run down of the overall storybeats of the first arc. Which is fine, unless you were like me and had very recently watched the first series and found the pacing of this new opener really off putting (along with some other issues) so you give this series a skip initially. And didnt get to it until was fully finished and then binged it wholesale beginning to end :D Brotherhood is brilliant, there are still bits of the original series I still like, but I cannot deny Brotherhood is a genuine epic of a series and worth going through in its entirety.

Tyler Morris

I’m so excited for you guys to watch this!

Andrew G
>>85017277

I LOVED the original FMA so much lol. I watched it like 3 or 4 times, and that post-series movie. and then I watched Brotherhood. and everything I knew was gone lol Lol boy you better buckle 👏🏼 up 👏🏼 I’m excited for you Brotherhood don’t play games wit nobody lol 😈

Andrew G

“We have literally no idea what we’re talking about right now” “No, we’re supposed to be speculating. it’s a reaction channel” “I know but I feel like we got like 15 seconds into the show, seen absolutely nothing and we’re like, “alright, fifteen second take of a floor and a drawing” SHIT LOL 💀💀💀💀💀 You guys always have such awesome discussions. I love watching your brains work and theorize. PLEASE let this be the One Choice to Rule Them All lol 🤣

Christopher Johnson

One of the best anime of all time. I’m not sure if it’s my favorite, but this is reminding me how much I love it. I’m so glad you guys love the animation because it’s such a fun style that works so well with the story.

Tyler Jacobs

Loving y'alls reaction so far. Watched it myself for the first time maybe 2 years ago and immediately saw that it was worth the hype. Can't wait to see more!

JennatheBreadQueen

YEEEEE LETS GOOOOOO. y’all are gonna love the plot twists!!!! i’m not even that far in yet and i’m consistently going 😟

Jack Mountain

As a full story, I think that this is better than Attack on Titan. I can't wait to see y'all react to this!

Nigel Douglas

i haven't watched full metal b alchemist and i definitely didn't intend on doing it so this should be fun lmao.

HamboneKablooey

Yes! Please please please keep reacting to this show! It's one of the best anime of all time and y'all will LOVE it!

Countess

Love this show to bits! I have to be real, this show personally captivated me more than Demon Slayer. I couldn’t get pass season 1 of Demon Slayer, it just didn’t catch my attention as much as other shows but it is a work of art animation wise. FMAB has my vote, so I hope you’ll continue it! It gets better and better as episodes go on! I love the discussions during and after in your reactions and would definitely find those more interesting to hear about in this series. Keep up the good work!

Fukkyu Bisch

Someone prep the mustang simp counter... We all know it'll blow up at a certain point.... If ya know, ya know.

Darby

"im gonna guess lust" 😏

Darby

Also, I hope you guys stick with this show. Demon Slayer may catch your eye more at a first glance, and it is fantastic, but there is just SO much more to unpack and analyze in this show. Theres a reason it's considered one of the best if not the best!

Lars

The show itself is so amazing, and if you liked the art in the first episode it only gets better, cannot recommend it highly enough

hex

YESSSSSS PLEASE THIS SHOW

Keygirl13

This show plz I excited to see Montanas analysis and overall your guys analysis

Jonah Hauf

You will not be disappointed with this show!!!

Ryan Torres

Please give Death Note a chance too. You won't regret giving it a chance.

Liz

I cant wait for you guys to see the next ep. I think Montana is going to love this show! On a human behavior levle.

jolly

yesss i would love for montana to react to my hero academia!!

Ethan Honza

You guys will LOVE this show. PLEASE continue, I promise you won’t regret it.

pineapplegreg

I'm watching this show along with y'all and that first episode has me hooked!

Alex Balian

this show is my favorite plot wise and thats ahead of aot

Mark O'Leary

"We're big dog people here." ...Uh oh.

Nigel Douglas

if not for anything else i'm gonna continue following this show with you guys because i get to hear all the Dragon ball and other funimation voice actors like krillin, trunks and chris sabat every 2 minutes

Nigel Douglas

definitely would love to rewatch my hero with you guys

John Carrizales

Do I want Montana to Eventually React to My Hero Academia? YES,YES,YES!!! Commentary on episode: Not really much to say since this episode wasn't in the 2003 Version and was really put in for Vet's of the anime to catch up on what's going on and establish the differences between the two. But I am super hyped you guys are watching this and I am engagning with this video in hopes you guys will continue this series. I preferably Would like you to do this one with Death Note on Thursdays! But as you guys asked I am engaging in the content I would personally like to see :)!

CoronerPerry

I love your guys reactions to this. I can't wait to see you go more in depth with the series.

Matt

Just yes!

JHB

Fun facts: The original (Japanese) actress for that woman at the end has a long and beloved career in voice acting, typically cast as gentle "big sister" types, or as a love interest, but periodically goes against her typecasting and voices a darker character, like the woman here. I just learned that one of her recent roles in this vein was as Shadow Weaver in the Japanese dub of She-Ra.

Darthwin Wright
>>85007444

Brotherhood is more faithful to the source material because the manga was finished or nearly finished at that time. The original while I can't exactly pin down where it split off since a lot of things are similar to an extent but also different.

Liam Behan

you guys will love this show its ATLA levels of beautiful imo

RandomRandomly

i vote this one, but once demon slayer has a few more seasons then u should def watch it also def watch My hero and react to it it is such a wholesome show

fr0st

Fun trivia for Montana: the design for the woman at the end with Gluttony (not spoiling her name) was commonly thought to be the basis for Asami's design. The creators of LoK clarified later that it wasn't but it remains a popular misconception because they have a similar look to them.

Aidan

Love this show so much! So excited to see that y’all are watching!

Stephen Ray

I just started watching because you're watching. It was interesting. I'm curious to see how it goes from here.

ResidentLink

I think this would be the best show to continue. It’s a masterpiece in every aspect. Although FMAB is finished and Demon Slayer is still going

Austin Wiebel

finally! my soul feels vindicated 🥹 had to go like everyone’s comment first, cuz I fully agree that y’all will love this show (made me get a tat from it, so trust me it’s deep) ‘FeelsMetal’ incoming 🙌🔥🍻 ok first question: who’s your early fav characters? And let the “seven deadly simps” counter begin 😈

Dristin

You really will love this one more. The characters have more depth and it's not mainly known for its fight scenes like Demon Slayer is. You will have higher emotional highs and lower emotional lows compared to Demon Slayer

Cameron Bray

FMAB is literally one of the most thought provoking shows I've ever seen and it'll give you a lot more to chew on than Demon Slayer (although that is also a bop). To not spoil too much, there's an early epidsode that is a masterpiece

James S

I advocate that Montana watch My Hero!

Izrail Gevorgyan

FMAB is truly a masterpiece.. I think/hope it’s the front runner show.

Justin Spencer

Booo watch the endings lol at least for the first ep or 2. I get a lot of enjoyment out of you guys dissecting intros and outros

fr0st

Yess, please watch the intros and outros, at least once. They're really useful to understanding the arcs in most anime.

Jeffrey D

First AoT now FMA? You two are gonna be spoiled by these A+ anime. Once you watch a second tier it's not gonna hit the same

Colan Miller

Watch fmab if you have to choose 1

Rob Not

FMAB (except for one particular scene...) is just an overall friendlier and more lighthearted option that the other ones, even when it's ramping up to serious and epic levels. It has my vote for sure.

Ari

Damn I was really hoping for death note but oh well… someday

Ace Jensen

Gotta put my vote in for Fullmetal

Mike burns

Really didn’t do much for me hopefully episode 2 does Better

Ty.Po

Vote for FMAB here

Bazil

Definately FMBA

Macayla Cody

I started watching, decided that I couldn't watch the reaction without first seeing the episode, binged all 64 episodes in 2 days

Ashley Garcia

I’m in full support of Montana reacting to MHA lol

Rachel Douglas

Watching this with you guys anew it makes me remember just how amazing this show is. This time through I was awestruck by the music and the emotional connection to the characters. Truly an amazing show. Roy Mustang is my favorite so I can’t wait to see you guys react more to this!

karstenj10

This show is a masterpiece, you both just keep watching the best shows 😂💯

Harley Taylor

Don't mind me just desperately hoping this is the next anime you guys watch.

Andrea

Okay so am I the only one that heard Kenny say dog-people? 🙃

keyton bush

Great series, great reaction!

Linds Leann

“we’re big dog people here” 🫠

Lars Boere

HYPE! Joined patreon just for this series, love that you guys are covering this one

Thoreeker

Agreed with all the above, literally signed up for your patreon for this show!

Andrea
>>85892805

Cassandra Nightshade

yes on the my hero academia! absolutely i love it. also if montana thinks ed is quick to anger i really want to see her react to bakugo :D
