Eric C

this is a couple years old and i'm rewatching this reaction playlist, but i still always go "oh no....." when montana went "i know it's about sisters and i'm a sister!" *insert old meme of "honey, you've got a storm comin"*

Rebvv

Woo hoooo!!

Eric C

let's gooooo another excellent journey begins

Nigel Douglas

The entire show could be a “Montana” can see CGI compilation because all of the characters are done in CGI and a lot of the background plates and effects are painted or handrawn

SkinnyAsAStick

Can't wait to see more arcane content

Chelle

Ahhhhhh Arcane is SO GOOD, and I’m very glad you stopped when you did Kenny. Perfect place to come back to. You will love it Also, all the music was written specifically for the show, so I’d definitely recommend listening to the lyrics when you can. There’s one song in episode 3 in particular that I recommend you listen to, even tho it leads into the credits

mika heademptyjustcatra

"a show about sisters, im so happy, its gonna be super fun" Montana, baby, who lied to you like that? i hope your ready to cry :(

mika heademptyjustcatra

OMG the graphic of montana in cait's outfit is soo good, gorgeous, beautifull, everything

Valentina M

Zelda?? 😂😂😂 I love it 🥰

Eric Smith

I assume Spotify has the full version of Enemy and that's why the intro is different? Speaking of which, you should totally watch the music video for it, probably sometime after episode 4 but before episode 7.

Mathies

Welcome to the playground is sung by bea Miller not Billie Eilish. WTF I laughed out loud at "guess you could call it curiosity"

mika heademptyjustcatra

i remember, back in december, watching kenny react to the first episodes while i was on christmas vacations as if it was yesterday

Jenna Murdock

Literally all of the music for this show is SO GOOD!! I can't recommend the music highly enough, y'all should definitely listen to the full versions of the songs by themselves outside of the context of the show/reactions after you've finished all 9 episodes!! That being said, Kenny was slightly off about the song that was playing when Vi, Powder, Mylo & Claggor took that elevator type lift thing further down into the Lanes. He suggested that the song (which is named "Playground" btw) was sung by Billie Eilish, but it's actually sung by Bea Miller!

Amanda Scott

I love the moment where Montana says "Oh I thought she lost the bag!" Kenny: "Yeah that would NOT be good haha" *intense eye contact with the camera*

William Timmins

Spinny ropes with weights at the end are Bolas.

mika heademptyjustcatra

the "welcome to the playgound" song its Bea Miller actually, not billie, its sounds kinda like her tho

mika heademptyjustcatra

without spoilers, the scene at the beginning, idk if someone already explained it, there was a fight between the people from the underground and topside enforcers, that happend in that bringe, i don't wanna say much more about it in case i spoil something by accident, and the dead woman that is shown was Vi and Powder's mom

VVenture

I should be able to sue for emotional distress after I heard Montana say ‘The Legend of Zelda?’ Like that needs a vine boom in the YouTube edit because my god I felt PAIN when I heard that 😂

Kayla Gerber

I am so excited to watch your reactions to this show and it's themes.

fr0st

Guess we're all cats because that horrible curiosity joke killed me too :D

TrixieTurner

I really do wonder how things would have gone if Vi and Deckard fought 1 on 1 after he brought out the knife.

NauticalApollo

I'm so excited for this! This show was my favorite thing that I watched last year!

William Timmins
>>87594924

It sounds a lot like Billie Eilish; when I first watched it that's what I thought, looked it up and ... oh.

fr0st

Also worth clarifying, not a spoiler since it's not explicitly mentioned, the water and air are actually quite crappy. The air quality index is terrible and the water is literally toxic hence anything tossed in there is definitely not going to be gotten back.

TrixieTurner

Whoa I never really thought about it but Powder made a nail bomb, she was straight up trying to kill that man.

Erin Haury

To the point of the Enforcers' masks: They actually DO need them down in the Lanes. The Undercity is built into the mining trenches and is suffused with toxic gases. The lower you go, the worse it is. The people who live there are acclimated, but the Topsiders aren't.

Asad Khabir

Actually, the air in the undercity is very toxic. The only reason the trenchers are able to survive is because their bodies have adapted to it.

King Katerina

"Zelda?" I can't stop laughing omfg

Jon Wake

Aww yeah. When you're done with Arcane, you should watch the KDA music videos, all based on the same game and they slap. Even better, Riot (the company that made the game and produced the music) doesn't do copyright takedowns on reactors of KDA music videos.

lily whetsell

I love Montana's "it's animated like a video game" comment because that's LITERALLY the EXACT thing I thought when I 1st watched it. there are soooo many scenes that feel like cut scenes, and when they end I'm gonna be playing as the characters. I love it😭

fr0st

Crying laughing at "Zelda?". Absolutely amazing! xD

lily whetsell

ALSO AHH IM SO HAPPY YOU USED MY QUESTION THANK U. i jumped when i heard my name😭

fr0st
>>87601759

an hour later and still wheezing at the comedy gold :D

Jenny D

Lol, I forgot how funny it is to watch for Kenny’s camera-glances when he’s seen what they’re reacting to! It’s a lot like how we’re probably all side-eyeing him for stuff he’s saying that he doesn’t know will come back later!

Jenny D

“Cool cat, right?” KENNY!!! “It’s a sphinx cat!” Oh, Montana 😭

Jenny D
>>87595858

Isn’t this kinda spoilery, considering Vi’s just a kid here?

Jenny D
>>87598597

I have questions about that, regarding one character, but I’ll save those for the relevant episode.

Jenny D
>>87599791

But then why could they take them off inside the shop? And what about—well, that’s for a later episode.

Jenny D

“I think Jayce is going to have problems with Vi’s leadership style…” I-I have so many jokes that I can’t make. I also have questions. But Montana’s analysis of Powder in that second question…again, no comment.

Jenny D

Also you briefly talked about Vi’s and Powder’s ages in question 2 and I wanted to clarify because there’s a lot of confusion among reactors and just fans in general. Amanda Overton, one of the writers, stated on Twitter that Powder is 11-12 and Vi is 14-16.

miserableplebs

Kenny, dearest darling Kenny, please don’t mix up Aussie and Kiwi accents. Karl Urban in the Boys is from New Zealand 😁

Peter Film
>>87594477

Montana based Imagine Dragons enjoyer lol. I love the dynamic now they are being so open on camera. Kenny just like yeah it's the same. No it's not. HAHA, yeah the Arcane intro IS the song but cut down to 50s from the 3ish min full version.

Peter Film
>>87595858

Doubt it's seen but these kinda 'spoilers' unavoidable post a show releasing.

Peter Film
>>87596270

See that sounds like a spoiler but it's not lol, they never address it really.

Atar

Yay!

Retied

Did I misunderstand Montana @54:53 or did she call Milo / Jayce? Because for me she does! Jayce is a famous character but as long as Zelda - I had to laugh so hard - is her source of information, how does she know that name? That made me suspicious.

OuthaulDagger
>>87599791

its not toxic per say, its just really bad air pollution. like how everyone wears masks in china, or used to, i think they fixed it a lot

Élina Kressmann

I'm so happy to see you react to this show !! Visualy, thematicaly, emotionally, it quickly became one of my favorite show ever and I love to see other people discover it in turn ! I hope you'll be able to avoid any spoilers because it's a wonder to experience. Also when you're finished with it, i recommand you watch Schnee's videos on that show. It's amongst the best piece of media analysis out there and it really deepened my love for Arcane !

Suplee215

Great reaction. I love this show. I won't call this show better than avatar just yet but I think it has a good chance. Some shows go hard in season 1 and then falter

Suplee215
>>87614882

No reason to think there's some sort of conspiracy here. Probably was given a list of main characters or informally heard of them which I personally wouldn't consider a spoiler.

Jenny D
>>87614882

Kenny’s seen episode 2, plus iirc he mentioned that Jayce was the recommended character for his design to be based off of, like how Montana’s is based off of Caitlyn. So I’m assuming they discussed those things, and she probably remembered the name Jayce as a male character on the show.

Leighton Williams

Love this, can't wait for episode 2 (and especially episode 3)!

Dafydd Mac an Leigh

PLEASE tell me you'll keep the "Zelda" bit for the YouTube edit

Elmo Atherton-Adams
>>87606372

Karl Urban is from NZ, but his character is actually meant to be cockney, from the east end of London ..its some questionable accent work.

lily whetsell
>>87600828

yeah and (spoilers!!!!-->VVV) in episode 3 when there's the "boss fight" on the bridge/walkway w vi it literally looked like a game fight cut scene

Sceada

when i first saw kenny solo reacting to this, i flipped out and directly spammed he should watch it together with montana. so happy they are doing it. montana will love it

Rune Eskesen

I love he never got past episode 2, he is going to be so surprised.

Victoria Camarena Fiel

The air from the underground IS toxic, its just that the people that live there are kind of used to it, topsider aren't so they have to wear a mask so they can breath

Tomasz

An interesting option for a future show might be Mob Psycho 100 (though it's an anime, so maybe you want to do 1 anime and 1 western thing at the same time, but if not...). It's two seasons of 12 and 13 episode, with season 3 coming this October (after 2, or maybe 3 years), so it's a good "trending" topic after the summer period. It's about a middle school boy with typical problems for a kid his age. He's very self conscious, introvert. He's shy and really bad with reading people (it's never stated, but for me he clearly acts like someone on the Autistic Spectrum). Oh, and on top of that he's got psychic powers that make him basically unstoppable and unrivaled by anybody in the world. You end up with a show full of fascinating, high concept art, with a basic slice of life story about a kid who wants to learn how to fit in, great morals and lessons, but all that in a setting full of epic fight scenes between characters with impressive power levels.

bruna mendes

I just love that kenny just watched until episode 2 lol kind of the perfect place

Brian malin

With most shows im hype for like a set episodes for arcane im hype for genuinely every episode this is great

Stephen Ray

I loved this show, and loved your reaction. Can't wait for more.

Ari
>>87703201

It’s aot season 4 episode 8 all over again

Suplee215
>>87658284

Also not everyone from there is used to it. SPOILERS Viktor's medical issue is said to be because of the air and we see other people who talked to silco and stuff need filters and stuff. So it's just as bad for the people down there. The rich just don't care

NinjaMode67

Hey I didn't see anyone else mention it, but the spinning rope things are called bolas!

Tristan Reynolds

Silco has a nice Zuko costume- but his scar is on the wrong side.

Vahl

Normally I like to binge watch things so with She-Ra I waited until it was nearly done to watch it all. This show I HAVE to watch episode by episode cause there's no way I can wait! Might be my favorite show and I'm super excited to see you folks watch it!

Crystal

Everyone watching their predictions like 😬😭😭😭

shoniswife_

the mask is actually very necessary! The air in the undergrounds is actually very thick and dirty, the only reason trenchers can breathe is because they've been raised in it

Zora Brightwood

The song called Playground is actually sung by Bea Miller one of my fave songs of hers is Young Blood.

Sinewmire

Vander's accent isn't Australian, it's cockney (poor London). Billy Butcher is also clearly meant to be cockney, but being played by New Zealander it's a bit Australian. Marcus, the Enforcer does have an Australian accent. Personally I really vibe with Claggor. He's clearly a good fighter but doesnt brag. He tried to de-escalate the situation with the fight, and he's really patient with Ekko (little man). Really strong, dependable 2nd-in-command vibes. You give a job to Claggor, you know it's going to be done. Why do you think Vander is so hard on Vi?

Cranky

1 hour video! Am i in heaven?

derick thomas

lol I joined Patreon just so I could watch these episodes lol.

PercussionFellow
>>87658284

If I remember correctly, too, it was specifically venting air from the rift mines that caused the issue. So some parts of the underground definitely had it worse than others.
