pretty sure the mage in the beginning did a teleportation spell, and before they were in the mountains. you can tell quite a few snowflakes teleported with them to a safer location. There's a character in the game called Ryze who has a very similar looking spell that also teleports whoever remains in that circle.

Mathies

i just realized Kenny has the Heimerdinger outfit in the intro. that's hilarious

Bradley Hall

Stopping before the third episode is borderline cruel

Swanzy

You guys are in for a treat! End of arc one is amazing! 🥰 Ooo and give a listen to the ending music. It really hits up with the theme x

Mathies

the thing that really sells the finality vibes for me is that Vi gave the toy that was hers and that was lost for years, to powder. A last gift.

Chelly

Sucks we won’t get episode 3 till next month… hope you guys enjoy your vacation tho, you’ve definitely earned it 😊

Austin Travers

Yeah the mage at the start is teleporting them, which is why it shows the globe. he shares a look with another character known for that ability. Never considered a weather charm, though it makes sense .

brina_kitten

I'm surprised you guys didn't have a bisexual panic over Mel. She's so pretty 🥰

Oron Bar

The wizard at the beginning made a teleportation spell and not weather change. The council is basically the government and the enforcers are the police/military.

I think what Montana might have been catching is that this is clearly animated and stylized, it isn't real people, but the microanimations make them move incredibly like real people. Especially in the faces. I could see how someone might be unsettled, too, with the idea that a computer can make a bunch of polygons move THAT MUCH like a real human face.

Stephen Ray

Somebody sent that message to Grayson, and Vi doesn't look like she's preparing for a fight.

I loved your guys’ guesses for what’s gonna happen next, because it makes me even more excited to see your reactions!

Right?! When Montana’s first comment was about how she loved Mel’s nails, meanwhile I still could not tell you what Mel’s nails look like because every time I see her I’m too in awe of her face.

Honestly Kenny it’s great that you stopped after episode 2 back in December because if you’d seen episode 3 you wouldn’t have been able to wait this long!

Peter Film

Bradley Hall

Peter people are excited plus Kenny already mentioned knowing g the show is in 3, 3 episode arcs so not big info drop.

jennifer jimenez

i honestly can't wait till yall see episode 3

Bazil

So lore drop. Heimerdinger is from a race called Yordles. They are an ancient race of spirits (yes he is a spirit) who have been around long before humans.

It's only Act 1 so tbf she is 14, the Act 2/3 design probs get's them.

Y'all missed a key line of dialogue from Mel in that introductory scene, which is that she's one of the richest people in Piltover (the city they're all in) but the poorest Medarda (her last name), which is interesting and worth thinking about.

fr0st

Regarding people saying "always remember" stuff, I can see Montana's point in that if you were having a conversation about how Powder feels like she's inadequate, as they did last episode, saying "Always remember, your differences are what make you strong" would be completely natural in the conversation. However, in this case, Vi says it completely randomly and somberly in response to Powder actually being super excited about her inventions and optimistic that this time they'll definitely work, so its out of place and definitely gives off "goodbye" vibes.

fr0st

How weird is it that it's only been two episodes and you've seen so much content and so many characters and conflicts explored already? Like compare it to any other show you've seen and I'm always amazed at how much they manage to set up just in two episodes and how much you know about the world and its structure and characters and conflicts already and it's literally been two episodes

Bradley Nowhere did i mention 3 episodes at all, or arcs, or even say 3. What I said is everyone hyping, downplaying etc content before reactors get to it is something i wish didn't happen...

Lol @ 14 year old person being a self-made richest person in the city of tech plus a full council member. She's canonically in her late twenties in act one. Also worth noting that Ekko is actually 14 in the first act. How on earth can you look at Mel and think she's a teenager? xD

Yeah, they still have bits of snow around them, the person transported them to a different place in the world.

fr0st

Also fun little continuity thing: in the snow scene Montana notices that Jayce's mom's fingers on her left hand are frostbitten and when we first see her again at the council speaking on Jayce's behalf, you can see the fingers are definitely black and non-functional now.

Dennis

They're not just non-functional, they're gone. These are metal prosthesises in the later scene.

I agree! Even saying the next episode is x, y, z can kind of spoil the episode and/or the blind reaction

bruna mendes

funny how you both interpreted that mage's spell as a weather spell instead of teleportation lol

Michael Sciortino

i can not express how excited i am to see yall watch the next episode.

Armaan Shah

Fun Fact: Heimerdinger's name is a mix of J. Robert Oppenheimer, the physicist behind the atomic bomb, and Erwin Schrödinger of Schrödinger's cat fame.

Dylan Snodgrass

Wait, it is SO GREAT that Montana called Powder a way better marksman! That's the term for the type of Champion you pick when you play her character in game. Also, after Arcane, it could be fun if you did react to their in game characters "reveals". <3

I just subbed when I realized that I could see the Episode 3 reaction, so catching up. At the very end with Marcus, Greyson got that capsule back that she gave to Vander, saying that if he changes his mind (And wants to give someone up) that capsule can reach her. Makes sense that if he did that, they would meet at Benzo's again. Vander is still at the Last Drop, and doesn't seem to have any immediate plans to go to Benzo's, so he didn't send the Capsule and doesn't know that it was sent. I definitely think that Vi took the talks about being responsible for the people you are in charge of to heart, and planned to turn herself in by sending the capsule herself, knowing that the Enforcers just need someone. I also think that Vander figured it out, and seemed to figure it out when he saw the bunny. Can't figure out how he did that though

Alexander Brogan

I haven't got a player, just a link to vimeo directly and won't give the play options 😞😞😞

Sinewmire

The end of the conversation at about 40 mins in, where Vi asks "What are we gonna do?" and Vander says "I don't know. We'll figure something out". I think that's where Vander decided Vi was a grownup now - up until that point, he'd always told them not to worry about it, he had it under control. He admitted to Vi that he didn't know - he shared his worries as a leader. This series is so freakin' good, you can just get so much character and nuance from every line. I think Vi blames herself. A lot of her eagerness to take the job that caused all this was the chance to stick it to Piltover, and she's been itching to fight ever since, and pushing back at Vander. Vander really got through to her at the bridge, and made her realise that whilst fighting might be the only way to improve their situation, it might not be Vi herself who pays the price. Vander doesn't know what to do, but I think you're right about Vi seeing this as the only way.
