I could swear Vi is tailor-made to make people question if they are bi... Or maybe I just need to admit some things...

Marcelo

So much content!😍

fr0st

Damn, thank you for the food, rather the buffet, Kenny!

Chelly

That reaction to “you’re hot, cupcake” was everything I was hoping to see 😂 Also, Sevika has a mechanical arm because her old one got blown off in the hextech blast in episode 3. She dove in front of Silco to protect him, which I assume is part of why she’s his second in command now. Also also, in regards to the character animations in this show, Jinx’s are definitely my favorite. Not only do they depict her mental state in this really cool visual way with the scratchy childlike drawings, but the subtle little facial twitches when she’s having one of her episodes is just… AHHH so good!! …sorry I kinda went off there 😅 Anyway, loved your reactions and discussions. Now I’m off to hibernate until the next reaction is out lol

Blacklung

Called it. Montana's now a certified visexual

Elvira Lehtonen

not them thinking that caitlin is jayces girlfriend🤣

Jenny D

2:10 Not Kenny calling Caitlyn “Jayce’s girlfriend”! 🤣🤣

Raven Rain
>>89604694

They've always given me brother and sister vibes but I guess some people interpret their interactions as flirting.

Jenny D

Hands down the best reaction I’ve seen to the “You’re hot, Cupcake,” scene!

Brad

Hope you guys are ready for another crazy Arc finale.

TrixieTurner

Vi is so buff and tough, I love the sworn enemies vibe she has with Sevika.

castle215

You guys are amazing, thank you for getting these out so fast, have fun on your trip!!!! Also, this has to be my favorite reaction to the cupcake scene ever. I was exactly the same, Montana

Ryan Tinkham

Caitlin and Jace were never a thing. Did you guys see how young she was compared to Jace in the earlier episodes

>>89604694

I can see it as just sibling vibes, but the first time I watched I thought Jayce was trying his shot with her twice and twice she rebuffed him. And I found it odd that Jayce would be going after a girl he's known since she was 14. But thankfully those vibes were incorrect lol.

Whaf03

In the first arc, Jayce was 24 and Caitlin was around 14-15. They have more of a sibling dynamic with each other. He brought her "get well" flowers because she was injured in the explosion.

fr0st

I don't think there's a human alive who would not simp for Vi but Caitlyn needs some love too. Very excellent, dependable and out of her element comedy moments and I love how soft Vi is despite literally growing up in prison after a very traumatic event. It would be really easy for her to just shank Cait and disappear into the underworld as a free get out of jail card but she keeps helping Cait where she can.

fr0st

I feel like everyone talking about how Cait was 14-15 when Jayce was the handsome older man in his twenties are missing the point because in literally most media, that is exactly the kind of heteronormative relationship that would come out of that kind of friendship. I see it as a nice little fakeout in that Jayce is def interested (she's literally super rich, his friend, and her house is really prestigious) but clearly barking up the wrong tree based on who Cait chooses in the brothel to charm.

fr0st

Also, if you are uncomfortable with whether it's a parent-child dynamic or something romantic between Silco and Jinx, that's on purpose (but it is just a dysfunctional parent-child dynamic).

fr0st

I'm also surprised no comparisons have come up with Harley Quinn so far, i.e. the original Daddy's little monster with some issues in the upstairs area and a traumatic backstory and that quality of voice (higher register, somewhat childlike and slight Jersey-ish intonations).

7thdilemma

Lmao That would be known as a kabedon, just in case you were thinking about researching it Montana.

fr0st
>>89610553

I feel like this is probably the most useful bit of information anyone in these comments would have provided for Montana. xD

sand_fl

Montana's little freak out to the "you’re hot cupcake" was hilarious. It’s like she couldn’t believe what she was witnessing. And yeah, Vi's hot as hell, but I have to admit that as a lesbian myself I do find Cait extremely attractive too. That accent also does it for me lol. Yeah, I am of those who interpreted Jayce and Cait's relationship as a sibling one. I could see why people would assume different but I don’t see any of their interactions as romantic, not even remotely tbh. The letts bang and letts react to porn was fucking hilarious ngl. Between this and the "glussy" comment in the fmab reaction I have had a good laugh with you today.

Bazil

Hiya! It's your resident Cait main. So a bit of history. Cait and Vi are two of the oldest champions in League. If I am wrong they were introduced way back in Season 1. Ever since then there have been hints of their relationship through in game voice lines. Before I actually I go on I want to point out that the canon of Arcane is different from League. In fact in game Vi has a completely different backstory. In game she is actually one of the Enforcers who work alongside Cait. She is kind of a bad cop. The hit first and ask questions later kind of bad cop. She probably could pass for a US cop! Anywayso when Vi and Cait are on the same team Cait would say 'Glad you have my back Vi. Keep the violence to a minimum ok?' If Cait is killed in combat she says 'Tell Vi that I.......' (Very interesting choice words) If Vi is on the enemy team Cait will say 'I never thought we would stand opposite against each other again Vi......' And if you kill the enemy Vi she says 'I never wanted this Vi....' I really cant do justice to these last two lines of dialogue because the amount of pain that Kirsten Potter brings to these lines is perfect.

Atar

AHH, Arace's horniest episode.

Bazil

Ok so my second comment went missing so I'll type out another one. So there is a spinoff of League called Legends of Runterra. Here writers had Riot had a lot more leeway to show LGBTQ championms. So a lot of subtext from the main game just becomes text here. One of my favourite interactions is between Vi and Miss Fortune who is also a bi. Miss Fortune: So how is your uptight Sheriff? Vi: Cait's still got a sweet tooth for bad cops.

Jenny D
>>89609918

Jayce is not “def interested” that is your interpretation but it’s not at all canon. Men and women can be friends without one of them being interested.

Vex Valor

Caitlyn is not Jayce's girlfriend and they have more of a sibling dynamic. In the last episode, Caitlyn threw Jayce's flowers to the side without a second thought which could show she isn't thinking about him romantically. In this episode, Vi poses the question to Caitlyn of "men or women?" and while Caitlyn doesn't verbally give her answer, we do see Caitlyn chatting with a woman that Vi didn't leave her with. So take what you will of that.

Leighton Reacts

Literally dying at Montana's face during the Cupcake scene 😂

Francesca White

it hurts me so much in my soul when they think jayce and caitlyn were dating lmao

fr0st
>>89609918

It's definitely my interpretation, which is as valid as people who interpret him as not being interested. Men and women can be friends platonically but Jayce ain't it.

Ci-Ci

Lolll I’ve been waiting for Montanas reaction to the cupcake scene and it did not disappoint 😂 but like same haha

TrixieTurner

It really does seem like there is a decent power imbalance between Mel and jayce.

Jon Wake

So about the development time for Arcane. There's a documentary series that just came out and the first season really only took a year or two to complete. They pitched the first episode about 6 years ago, did animated tests with the studio that made it, had to go back to the drawing board a few times, then finally got the greenlight. So the 'six years' in development is counting a bunch of time when it wasn't in development. While the Fortiche team (which did the animation) was waiting on the greenlight, they animated a few music videos for Riot games- Rise and K/DA- Popstars. You'd love 'em.

Tom Bombadil
>>89609918

I don’t read his interactions with Caitlyn as “showing interest” at all. They are siblings, poking fun at each other. He knows she is gay. The chat in the rain in episode 2 is the first clue there. Every interaction they have screams siblings who have a close bond.

Mathies

caitlyn is a gay gay homosexual and jayce is like a big brother

fr0st
>>89609918

We all have interpretations. I don't think he knows her preference, at least there's evidence that he does and I definitely see the flirting and flowers and teasing vibe as being interested. She, on the other hand, is clearly not.

Mathies
>>89609918

do you see how many flowers she got? those are from colleugues, family members, friends, etc. All "get well soon" flowers. She was just in an explosion. She just also isnt a fan of this posh Piltover flower culture to be fake-concerned, since that's how she sees the identity of all of topside. so she throws them all to the side

fr0st
>>89609918

Yes, and Jayce brought his own in person and likes to flirt with her. Like I said, we all have interpretations. Feel free to have yours where he's not interested, mine is that he definitely is, until Mel gets her hands on him.

fr0st

Pretty sure I'm not the only one but absolutely can't wait for you guys to watch the next episode, which kind of closes off the second arc of the season.

Zyrus
>>89609768

I, personally, do not simp for Vi, verified. She just doesn't do anything for me.

Hehe

Hehe

MxFlix

Sevika isn't magic or anything. If you look closely during the explosion, you can see that *only* her arm got disintegrated. The robot arm is essentially "nothing more" than a superpowered (or rather, shimmer-powered) prosthesis.

Amanda Scott

I too had to stop and take a breather after the cupcake scene

Edman

The facial details and animated micro-expressions in those faces in this show are unmatched

Zora Brightwood

I kept replaying the cupcake scene it's my favorite!

fr0st

Surprised there's no automail arm comments, because what Sevika has now is basically the same as Ed's arm but with a shimmer power up built in.

Élina Kressmann

amazing reaction !! especially loved the reaction to the "you're hot cupcake" scene xD A few things : first Cait and Jayce have a 9 years age gap and know each other since cait was very young, they're just close friends ! second : you can go back to check but in episode 3, when Sevika jumps in front of Silco just her arm gets obliterated and is thus now replaced with a mecanical arm (à la automail in FMAB) fueld by shimmer ! third : a detail i find interesting and that very few pick up on, just after Viktor asks jayve how long he has left, we don't have an answer but the next scene is Sevika playing the tarot cards "the death", and "the magician"

Adam Roy

I'm not a LOL player, but I play Legends of Runeterra, in the same universe. There is a character card that I wish I could share, because it would blow your mind.

Vex Valor

After you watch episode 6, I highly recommend watching the Enemy music video before watching episode 7. It features clips of Arcane they made specifically for the music video and won't contain any spoilers if you have watched up to episode 6. Between Act 2 and 3 was when the music video was originally released and does make act 3 more enjoyable.

bloodyshadow1

the cop jayce's girlfriend. I mean there are ways to describe caitlyn... and that is not one of them

lily whetsell

"Woah :D..." "what?" ":D I don't know." LMAOO😭 Idk why that's so funny to me

Retied
>>89675572

Also this^^ however, my experience tells me they will not look into it until the series finale.

Retied

Everybody loves the cupcake scene. This hunter and her prey scene - it's great how Vi sneaks around her and takes a close look - that ends in a power move with zero distance to Caitlyn, from which she somehow doesn't want to free herself. She neither avoids eye contact, nor does she physically limit Vi. And there is no immediate answer to the question. Caitlyn is already completely infatuated with Vi.

Hehe

So about that sex scene and in conjunction with viktor blood scene…I’ve always interpreted that the two scenes are in juxtaposition with each other: Jayce betraying his ideologies and desire to help the world using science (by delving into politics, by becoming a councilor, and succumbing to superficial pleasure) versus Viktor staying committed to the cause by literally pouring his blood and soul in trying to crack the hexcore. The scene captures on how the interest and priorities of the two scientists have diverged.

emelsi
>>89701221

What's interesting too is that Jayce doesn't initially turn his back on his ideals (I would separate ideals and ideology here). He listens to the counsel of his mentor who is concerned that their hextech is too dangerous to unveil. This is an entirely reasonable thing - go back to the lab and keep working and hey maybe those two dipshits will realize they built a goddamned death ray. Jayce is then faced with two reactions to that decision; Viktor's disappointment as he was eager to share his their work with the world and help people, and all of the corrupt councilors like Medarda who want to increase their own wealth, power, and prestige. Jayve responds to the corrupt rich fuckers instead of his friend and colleague, and is literally and figuratively seduced and corrupted by capitalism.

Jana

Jayce and Caitlyn are 1000% not a thing 😭

Jana

“ Jayces girlfriend” , Caitlyn and Vi are canon lesbians 😭

Prda

That Sextech analysis was actually on point.

Sinewmire

"Kill the boy, Jon Snow. Winter is almost upon us! Kill the boy, and let the man be born."

Natasha

Montana and I are the same. We both love Vi and think Vi and Caytlin are adorable

Karmac

Vi Simp counter... also the vi wall move is called kobedon

Rese52

Love your Reacts guys! - Although just one thing for reference, (not a spoiler,) Jayce and Caitlyn aren't a thing; In the 2nd and 3rd episode we see that Jayce is at least, 10 years if not more, older than Caitlyn, so it's more of an older brother/younger sister/sibling role model relationship- which we also see constantly explored throughout Arcane just in different circumstances and parallels.

Stephan

You´re hot Cupcake

Stephan
>>89691960

this scene changes everything, esp. btwn Caitlin & Vi. It starts as a playful flirt, to get Caitlin out of her comfort zone by Vi, but at least after, Vi sees Caitlin flirty with the other girl in the brothel, her goals & opinion changes. Esp. aber Caitlin saves her life at Savikas. You can here it in both there voices, Vi´s flirty is now more meaningfull and Caitlins "Shut up" was so soft, that you can here, its all playful, and she not really want Vi to stop ;)

Andrew Timm

The Bi panic on Montanas face after "the you're hot cupake" 😂😂😂

bellatrix_394

please stop saying caitlyn is jayce's girlfriend, it makes me genuinely want to cry, she was like 13 and he was 25, ily guys but it feels like you haven't watched any scenes cait was in

Kkat

If you haven't checked it out yet, the official music video for Enemy is done in the animation of the show and features a lot of scenes of the characters (mainly Powder) that aren't in the show itself. It's a beautiful extra for people who loved the show.

Soul Reaper

was waiting for that line reaction for so long

Linus Marjeta
>>90310343

Except her age is never stated this far in, and it's not exactly easy to make out her age, especially when you're trying to get used to a new artstyle. Just because you've seen all the episodes and know her age (kind of) doesn't mean everyone else automatically will. Really confused as to why you think people would assume Cait is 13 just based of off 2 scenes with her in the first arc, she def looks older than 13.
