Ooooh, gettin' close to one of my favorites.

Noctis lucis

Yeah all winry needs to do is learn to fight all the hommunculi 💀💀 no big deal or anything

NICK FROST

I love buccaneers salute. also, briggs men/women are built different. notice how bucc tossed sloth

zahra

the fact that hughes figured this all out like twenty episodes ago. absolute genius

Snow

You mean like every other character threatened by them?

Winry: has a whole big character moment about how her strength comes from saving lives and she's not someone who does violence and that's okay Kenny: IRON WINRY (I'm just teasing, him theorizing about Winry learning to defend herself is fine, and now I definitely want to see fanart of Iron Winry).

"You get careless and you get dead. You ever tell me what to do again and you'll never leave this hospital." I love Miles. Also that moment has so many little things that build to that line. Kimblee says he is "hunting down the Ishvalan", and it is that statement that makes Miles stop and turn around. He says "The soldiers of Briggs aren't about to let a serial killer run around free." He is talking about Scar of course, but the statement basically also applies to Kimblee, and his next action showcases that. He deliberately reveals his red eyes, getting really close so Kimblee is forced to look directly at them. And only then does Miles very clearly threaten him. It's a small scene, but it says *so* much.

@Snow You mean the other MILITARY personell and various others with combat experience prior to the series start?

Crystal Laeyt

While I love how out of pocket Kenny’s theories get (especially this episode), I hope he doesn’t lose sight of just how amazing all these characters already are. He’s been quick to assume lately that most characters have some sort of special ability, or will advance/upgrade in a later episode. Characters like Winry, Ling, and MG Armstrong are quite exceptional as is, and future episodes will provide further proof of what I’m trying to say. Meanwhile, I’ll keep enjoying all theories!!

Trust me when I say, if it doesn’t fit the story, I don’t want to be right about it. I thoroughly love this story for what it is already, everything else is the cherry on top

Yeah. The characters from this story are uniquely written in a way that is quite rare not only in Shonen anime. It is not about their power level or abilities, but about their human and non-human conditions within the context of their lives. Not every character needs to be a soldier to fight; and within that, there can be variety in female and male characters like Winry, Hughes, Teacher, her husband, and all the others characters, homunculi included. They are all different angles about struggle, belief, purpose, trauma, etc. If they all star throwing punches by the final fight, I believe their differences/uniqueness wouldn’t be highlighted in the same way. Of couse, that is my humble opinion. Great Reaction Guys! <3

Well said! This series has definitely hit the mark when it comes to unique character arches and redemptions. And for those who have(may soon be) sacrificed, each loss is felt throughout the series.

jolly

winry is about saving lives, not taking them 💀

Cody Simpson

Next week! I gotta try to hold this one a little…….(proceeds to watch and love it immediately)

Woo, we're getting closer to The Truth now, pun intended. Very exciting!

The Wheff

Montana is 50% right theories, 50% wrong theories but Kenny is 33% right, 33% wrong, and 33% your dealer must be a homie cause they got you that good shit.

Honestly I'll say when he said "what if something bad happens if Sloth stops moving?" I knew it was a reaching theory because it isn't true, but it's a fucking great theory too. It makes sense but I never thought of it.

This is the last full episode I'll watch ☹️ absolutely love your videos, and loved seeing more of them, you guys have really good insights! When I can afford it again I'll definitely be back, and will most likely binge all the full episode I've missed :P for now I shall enjoy the YouTube videos 😁 keep up the amazing work!!

Last episode I'll be able to watch as a patron, so I just wanted to say it's been great sharing over half this anime with you guys here! Seeing Kenny's off-the-wall theories are honestly so wild and fun to me! Seeing the connections his brain comes to just shows me how differently we can all view media; doesn't matter if the theories are right or wrong, it's honestly interesting to see where your guys' brains go. Looking forward to catching the rest on youtube! Stay awesome, you two!

Tmatts

Envy definitely has helped with a lot of the conflicts, but also remember that one of the homunculi - Wraith - is the leader of the military and entire country of Amestris. All he has to do is say "there's an uprising here, so I'm sending troops" and no one really bats on eye. All the witnesses are slaughtered anyway. And the senior staff are all in on it.

Daniel Nolt

I cant wait to see your guys reaction to the 37th episode!!!

zahra
>>92457244

honestly these next five-ish episodes are some of my favorites and i feel like it just keeps getting better from here!

Mercurium

I do really enjoy watching videos from you two. Both of you trying to analyze the story elements of shows is interesting and fun to see what you are right about and whats wrong, but enjoyable ideas. Ironically from watching you two analyze shows I can see how the original FullMetal Alchemist concluded with the information they had. I know it's not going to happen as you're a show/series reaction channel. But with Montana's insight in phycology, and Kenny's insight into theater. It would be really fascinating to see the theories and conclusions you both would draw from the Silent Hill 2 story (the game, not the movie).

Zachiel

I can't wait for ep 36!

TheDragonQueen1998

Im not sure if its ever fully confirmed or what, but im quite sure when May says she feels people underground, the show is saying that Father has spread his stone/the philophoser stones he had made during Ishval all over the country, making him able to block the earths energy. That is also probably the reason he has all those pipes in his throne under central.

GreatRiverofKings

Maybe it’s been said, but in Latin the word for Sloth is Acedia which means “without care”. It pertains to more of a lack of motivation and enthusiasm rather than laziness. This is must like Avarice is another name for greed.
