Wow what good timing! I’ve just gotten up to this episode on the binge of your FMAB content that I’ve been doing today! <3

Welp, looks like I'm going to bed at 3 AM instead.

Al was already a candidate. When they first met Father, he said both of them were very important. So far the four are Ed, Al, Hohenheim, and Izumi. We still don’t know whose lucky number 5 gonna be.

Wrath is extremely difficult to kill and while a train exploding might not do it, It'll remove him from the board for the moment.

Question have you two ever seen the movie "Valkyrie" with Tom Cruise? The reason i ask because i think the writer for these next few episodes for FMAB had to be a fan of at least history. Valkyrie is the true story of the assassination attempt of Adolf Hitler in WWII by some of his generals. The only difference is the train vs a bunker but the plan of how they would take over in terms of military strategy is near on point...🤔

Yeah, I figured I would put this here to remind you two, so it wouldn’t affect your future theory crafting.😊

"Everyone wants something they don't have." But that's not Greed, it's Envy. Greed is wanting more than you need.

I could be wrong but that might just be a bit of a translation error but I don't think it's necessarily wrong either. Greed and Envy are kind of similar I think the main difference is envy is specifically wanting what other people have and they would be satisfied with that. With greed it's not that they want what other people have, they just want more for themselves.

This is correct. Envy is specifically wanting something another has. Greed is simply wanting something you do not possess for no reason other than you want it.

I love this outro music usage. So badass the way they swing to various people and the pieces clicking into place for their counterattack plan. Lets gooo

Just here to appreciate the food too. We've been getting so many releases on a really frequent schedule and we appreciate it, Letts!

Envy is specifically desiring what someone else has, whereas Greed is simply desiring what you don't have. It's also interesting that 4/7 Deadly Sins are tied to wanting something. Lust is desiring pleasure, Gluttony a desire to consume, Envy is desiring what someone else has, and Greed is the intersection of just wanting what you don't have.

Bit of semantics, whatever someone could want is something that others probably already have, so in a round about way envy is an inevitable result of greed... If you think about it.

This is so exciting! Tomorrow is the promised day and boy oh boy

A little late, but one aspect of jealousy that you don't necessarily find in greed is that jealousy can make you resent those who have what you don't have. The archetypical example. Someone who hates another person for no other reason than because they're in a relationship with the person they both have a crush on. Where greed might just make someone want a similar relationship, but be willing to move on to find it with someone else.

"Wanting something you don't have" is kinda redundant - if you want something, that usually implies that you don't already have it. But it's not really envy to want something that doesn't exist yet, or to want something that someone else has if you don't know who has it or have no real feelings about them having it. Envy is more about seeing something that someone else has, and feeling bad that they have what you don't. You only want it because someone else has it, if that thing was destroyed so that no-one had it, envy would often be satisfied whereas greed wouldn't be.
