"when have we ever learned about something only introduced in the episode in the title?", see The Owl House, S1E5, "Covention"

Latiaslovar

Wtf, why did your aware of tongue comment mess me up so bad for a minute.

Millie Long

"He's just a little guy..." The ultimate and only defense of King that is needed.

Robin B

Oh! I never made the parallels with Bumi's trials! Kenny, you've got some eye for those things!

Robin Jansson

While Eda was affected by the light in her owlbeast form, it was the elixir that changed her back.

Yeah. Light doesn't affect the curse itself, but the owl beast, on the other hand, is sensitive to it.

I totally forgot the word Palisman wasn't used until this episode. Jiw it feels so tied to the lore

Jenny D

Turns out I’ve been spelling the word judgmnt wrong this whole time!

Same! Eda just says “magic staff” or “magic stick” early on. I don’t think we even get Owlbert’s name until episode 6.

Jenny D

Yay more pausing! I’ve never seen a show with as many background details as this one, especially in season 2 when they learned that season 3 was getting cut short.

Jenny D

Azula’s Voice Actor counter goes up by 2! I laughed so hard the first time I heard her voice come out of booger kid’s mouth. A good rule of thumb with Grey DeLisle is if you hear her voice in an episode of anything and the character isn’t main/recurring you’ll probably hear her voice in at least one other character. Not always, but more often than not. Like in Korra the first episode where water arm lady shows up, Grey also voiced the wife of the airbending farmer Tenzin tried to recruit.

Only a minute in and I'm commenting: At least with "Razz", people with at least a passing familiarity with the 80s version knew Madame Razz was one of the main characters. No such prior connection here.

awildjord

eda can still turn into the owl beast during the day, the beast's eyes are just sensitive to light bc they're all black which is why the camera light and light spell were what slowed her down/turned her back

JHB

So, now it can be said: "palisman" is a mash-up of "pal" and "talisman"

Macarthius

Can't wait for you two to continue this series! This is the point where we start getting more lore, plot, and more depth from the characters~

Devin Zain

You're right about Grey voicing the little kid, but the demon hunter is actually Eden Riegel, another incredible voice actor and singer who tends to pop up everywhere for one liners!!

Levi Nielsen

King is roughly around 7 to 8 years old
