Hello all! Was wondering what you think I should do for a counter involving Naomi, Ray Penbar's fiancé. Here are the options I have thought of, but comment below whatever you think is best

i read in the comments that there are people who haven’t seen the show as well, so i think you shouldn’t give the name Naomi before it’s revealed

I agree, just putting it there in case, but I'll probz go with another top choice rather than that one spoiler wise

Tbh it kind of bothers me when people do that. They should watch it before watching reactions, but that's just my opinion..

I'd personally go with either Naomi, or if you're concerned about spoiling her name (which I think is a silly thing to consider a spoiler but that's just me) then Woman Detective.

I feel like nobody wants "ray penber's fiance" because shes so much better than him and it feels rude to reduce such a badass to that role haha Literally every scene of him we get is either him being really easily manipulated or pretty egregiously sexist to Naomi (I understand there is some cultural context but his character is American and they live in America so I don't buy that argument)

Why add "woman" to the beginning? just do unnamed detective

There are a lot of detectives and she’s the only woman, thought it would distinguish well!

That’s fair. Most of the detectives, and there are a lot of them, are male. She is distinguished by being a superb detective, who is also a woman.

I'd put "Penber's Fiance Genius Counter," or "Raye's Fiance Genius counter." Having both names makes it a bit too long imo.

sometimes people watch reactions alongside the actual episodes. Depending on the show I do that too

Markub El Jaden

Everyone who watches your reaction has probably watched the show, so I don't see the issue of using her real name?

Sol

She won't be around long enough for a counter

Vex Valor

I prefer any of these over Raye's fiance. I don't like the idea of reducing her to simply being Raye's fiance. She is her own character and an incredible detective.

Isaac Godoy

I mean even Ray refers to her as Naomi;before he dies, so I don’t see anything wrong with referring to her as such

Corey Porter

I think adding "woman genius detective" adds this weird implication. Like if it was a male character they'd just be "genius detective" not "genius male detective"
