Yes thank god this won over Chainsaw man, Can't wait to see how you feel about the main character's actions throughout the show

Keshan Fonseka

Every Code Geass fan, pls like this video. Let's show our support for this series on both Patreon and Youtube

Peter Amet

Yeah this intro is from the era *shows still do it* where shows just have cool intros sometimes. Off the dome I don't think any intro of the show matches the themes haha

cLyNeSnOw

two eps! thanks so much! cant wait for ep 3 =)

The lance a lot showing up in the battlefield is the equivalent of playing chess and a new queen just appearing on the board and yet lelouch still comes out on top granted he had some cheats too but I always thought he was a tactical master

Deku Teagues

No more chainsaw man. Code geass sucks.

Keshan Fonseka
>>108998541

He had some help from Kallen to get away. I say it was a lucky escape to get to his target Clovis cause there was no point in him fighting the Lancelot as his real battle was to get to the prince. Next episode is gonna be lit. can't wait

Keshan Fonseka

You guys are going to enjoy the strategies, mind games, Plot twists, and many more surprises of this show.

Vic

So happy that we get to see more of code Geass and I'm happy to keep the engagement up really excited for your breakdown of this character

Zak Moran

I think it's so perfect that you picked Code Geass and My Hero. One show Kenny knows well for that editing style, one that's a mystery to you both, filled with too many twists and turns you'll never see coming. Plus now there will be a season 2 of JJK by the time you get to it.

John

I'm going to be honest you will have to pause way more in this show, because there is way more dialogue and attention needed, talking over it will just get you confused as the series goes on and on and you won't enjoy it as much. I think we will like it more if you paused to get your thoughts out instead of missing some important details especially the politics.

Zach

Its unfortunate that as good as Code Geass is, its beyond complicated in spots. It practically requires note taking to keep up with all the terminology, not to mention the history of Britannia and What is Britannia never gets properly explained in the show.

Zftgftgg

could you give chance and react to classroom of the elite?

monkeyman

Well damn now I have to restart my subscription for this show

Cogfather
>>108998698

It's pretty common in this era to just have some random song by an idol group or a popular band with no real connections to the show as the OP, and this is no exception. It's definitely interesting from the perspective of someone who mostly sees stuff from the era when a song can be the reason an anime even exists. I love Call of the Night if you couldn't tell XD

Keshan Fonseka

the fact that this came in 2006 is unreal. just look at the animation, art style, and mech fight battles.

ObeliskOdd

Fantastic to see this! Can't wait to see you guys watch more of this show.

Peter Amet
>>108998698

Geass also dosent use episode footage for most bits of the intros which is cool. No spoilers

Peter Amet
>>109006122

I mean yes to an extent but I watched this as a kid as I'm sure many did and loved it. It's well written enough you can follow the plot without every detail but yeah definitely better with all the details. I don't think a confusion like the death note notebook situation would arise here it's as complex as AOT. I think the discussions will be longer as there's way more to discuss imo but yeah hopefully they don't get confused during any of it I expect it'll be easy enough to follow :)

Peter Amet
>>109003423

This episode is very straightforward though. I never pause while watching it cause it's such a thrill

Peter Amet

I love how great this show is for discussion for you guys. Episode 1 had a tiny scene where you guys discussed the bystander effect and I know when they actually have massive episodes happen there's gonna be so much to discuss!

Eric C

yesss another episode drop! you truly spoil us

Kim Zwiers

this is the best pleace more soon

Patrick Dawson

Heads up, loads of fan service in this one, a lot of people shoot back with all the character designs were done by women, im not sure if that makes any difference but people say it.

John
>>109003423

I don't mind if they don't pause but they talk over it when there's dialogue and missed a bunch of things already like suzakus knightmare not having an eject button

Darthwin Wright
>>109025318

I feel like loads is a bit of an exaggeration. It has about as much as the average anime does. Loads is more accurate for something like Fairy Tail, Eden Zero, or High school DxD

hobopwnr

I want you to know, I increased my sub tier to watch this sooner lol

cosmotron
>>109025318

I mean, there’s a difference between the character designs being done by women, and then animators (idk how many of them were men) using those designs for weird and out of place fan service.

Raul Iggynashow
>>109029723

Me too! Before Patreon would charge you at the 1st of every month. Now it has changed to give you a 1 month long subscription.

R. Lewis

People like to criticize the fanservice in this show (which, valid) but at the very least it's equal opportunity fanservice. That's not the last you'll see of Suzaku's assets.

Frolan Ken Magdua

Did you also noticed how lelouch adressed kalen's and her subbordinates? He gave them code names that is similar to chess pieces. Kalen- Q1 (queen) her subbordinates P1, P2, P3 (Pawn 1, pawn 2, pawn3)

Peter Amet
>>109003423

Honestly I didn't even know that and I have seen the show 4 times. Is that true? They have to talk or it's just the episode playing which YT claim, but Kenny often goes back if something important was said.

Peter Amet
>>109029723

:O love that! I thought that had to be turned on though did Letts turn it on?

Peter Amet
>>109025318

To what I heard years ago, CLAMP animation studio worked on (or the staff) erotic animations before getting work on more mainstream shows. However while I cringe at it, it's the same cringe I give for that new JLaw Hard Feelings 18+ Sex comedy or Black Widow in many scenes especially early on. It's not Female in Anime are sexualised but in media in general. IMO at least

Keshan Fonseka

Code Geass just passed 60k views on youtube and it's only been 9 days. It's doing so much better than I thought it would. When you type code geass episode 1 reaction or code geass reaction it's right on top of the search page. It's even getting recommended on death note videos as well. if you search for a demon slayer, death note. attack on Titan or Fullmetal alchemist reaction and find one of Letts Reacts videos, when you click it to watch, the Code Geass episode 1 video is right on top of the side recommendations almost all the time. I don't know how that happened but the algorithm is really pushing it now. it's crazy how a 17-year-old show is getting an algorithm boost that a new anime would probably get. I guess the power of engagement speaks. This is why we have to continue giving the same level of engagement for the whole series. It's going to be a spectacle to behold.

Bradley Hall

God I'm so excited that we got Code Geass across the finish line.

Bradley Hall
>>109000490

Code Geass is a masterpiece and has one of the greatest endings ever in anime. CSM will get its moment.

John
>>109003423

Yes right before suzaku enters the lancelot and no they did that all the time in death note, small pauses to get thoughts out

Mortis

I’m trying to be excited for more code geass because I really love this show I think it’s a masterpiece but I can’t stop being disappointed that you didn’t just blow through the rest of chainsaw man first. It would have been over in a flash and then You could have done code geass. Now you and the chainsaw man fans in you audience won’t get any more of it for months and I feel like if you ever do get back to chainsaw man it’s gonna really have hurt your viewing experience having this huge break between 2 and 3.

Keshan Fonseka
>>109156567

Here's the thing bro. If you really wanted chainsaw man so badly, you should have engaged with the 1st episode on youtube better. Almost every code geass fan shared the video and commented like crazy. We shared on Reddit groups and Discord groups. If you guys had shown the same level of passion, You guys could have won but you'll didn't. Kenny Clearly stated that the 2 pilots that get the best engagement will win and who got them? Code Geass and MHA. Code Geass got more comments and subscribers to the channel than MHA, CSM, and JJK combined. It beat the total views of all 3 in just 6 days so Code Geass clearly won the challenge by a landslide. Also, I don't think they enjoyed CSM ep 2. They seemed confused, and a little uncomfortable in certain scenes but they loved Code Geass episode 2. Just look at the reactions for CG ep 2 and CSM ep 2 and you will see the difference. In the end, they made the right choice.

Keshan Fonseka

Episode 3 is coming to Patreon in probably 14 hours' guys. When it drops, Every CG fan and those who are enjoying the series, leave a like and comment on the episode 3 video. Let's continue to show our support for this series. Don't let the excitement die. Keep it going. Every one of you who are fans of this show pls heavily engage with episode 2 when it drops on youtube on June 8th. We shall give the same level of engagement we gave episode 1 for the whole series. Don't let the engagement die just because Code Geass is locked in and there is no engagement competition anymore

Mortis
>>109156567

Dude don’t try to control my feelings or claim you know theirs. Maybe you’re right and they were confused but they said they were interested in all the options from what they’ve seen and I wanted to see them keep watching. Just because you’re getting what you want doesn’t mean that it’s an objectively better outcome. From the numerous comments you’re leaving it seems your obsessed with code geass and I get it it’s a good show but calm down and stop acting like a psycho.

Keshan Fonseka
>>109156567

It's not what I wanted only. It's what the majority wanted. That's why CG got the best engagement. Don't try and accuse me of being selfish and wanting what I wanted. I was rooting for CG sure but if chainsaw man won I would have accepted the result and not gone and commented on the chainsaw man video saying CG would have been better to complete first like how you've typed here about chainsaw man. At the end of the day, be a sport and accept the result. They'll most likely get to chainsaw man when demon slayer is done.

Mortis
>>109156567

Well personally I feel code geass was given an unfair advantage but even besides that I’m allowed to feel the way I do and so are you. The point you crossed the line is when you got so self righteous in your response to my comment where I simply expressed my disappointment and worry. Acting all high and mighty like this it’s rude.

Keshan Fonseka
>>109156567

Anyone who reads my comment can clearly understand that I'm not trying to sound high and mighty or self-righteous. I don't know where you got that from. Maybe you shouldn't misunderstand what people say and twist those words to support a false narrative. Also, I find it Ironic that you call me rude when it's clearly rude behavior on your part to still request chainsaw man when Code Geass clearly won. You know Kenny and Montanna aren't going to change their decision now so what was the point of that comment? Anyway, I'm not going to reply to you again even if you reply back because I don't think Kenny will be too pleased with this argument we're having. it disturbs a peaceful community.

GreatRiverofKings

The intro is perfect if you read the lyrics. I know it’s hard to ignore the imagery, but it really is exactly what Lelouch goes through

Mortis
>>109156567

Istead of just acknowledging my feelings of disappointment you got on my case about how it’s my fault I didn’t get what I wanted and that its better I didn’t. That’s incredibly rude and self righteous. You didn’t need to reposed to my comment at all and if you were going to you could have been nice but you responded like this anyway and now when I call you on it you say I’m the one causing strife and decide unilaterally that the conversation is over. This is textbook self righteous internet soldier.

MIKE LEGEND

I love this season the best of all time

Cassandra Nightshade

Did i miss the post for the other 2 episodes of MHA? Or are they not available yet for middle tier? 🤔

Sable Etoilé

Code Geass is not about chess, but it really wants you to know that Lelouch cares about chess
