Nina isn't racist, she is generally afraid of anyone knew.

demonic-myst

Radiant wave surger it causes chemical reactions to rapidly heat material can be used on land or against the metal of a knightmare frame also heats the liquid 8n the armor exspanding it

cLyNeSnOw

Diethard, the britannian reporter who's applying for black knights, was the one who snitched that the there will be a military operation in the narita mountain.

Darthwin Wright

Nina feels like one of those kids that had a parent that fed them every exaggerated horror story about a race and became horribly afraid of them in response.

SouthCoast

Lmao I was also shocked on how some of these questions became full on essays. Their way of showing love I guess!

cosmotron

Considering the society she was raised in and how she reacts to Japanese people, I think she is pretty clearly racist. And her fear is based in racist beliefs.

SouthCoast

I think it’s pretty obvious she’s more so afraid of the Japanese people just on the basis of just their ethnicity which is the definition of a racist. But It’s because of past trauma, not just cultural influence.

KingPin

Y’all are gonna enjoy the next episode

Itai Filiba

by the way... He wasn't driving with his eyes closed.. this is Japan, so the driver is in the right sit

miruryuu

The radiant wave surger is a hypothetical weapon that could channel a form of radiation directly into a target. The bubbling effect might be a depiction of the ionization of a substance. Ionization occurs when a typically neutral substance suddenly loses an electron or gains one thus either increasing its overall charge or decreasing it. This effect causes deformity because the molecular bonds are destroyed. This effect is what would happen when an atom bomb's radiation is concentrated into a wave of some sort, hence the name radiant wave surger..

god, i love the Guren Mark II. just such a cool mech suit. probably my favorite mech in the show. also i hear the question advice after i asked a paragraph-long question for episode 12 lmao. sorry about that, guys!

ArcaneAnomaly

10:00-ish "Alright, mean for no reason." I think you might've misunderstood Milly there. "So tell me, Nina, do you know what the social status is of a principal's granddaughter?" "Um, not a very high one?" "Correct, not very." She's not insulting Nina there. She's not even referring to Nina. She's referring to herself. Milly ASHFORD of Ashford Academy. SHE'S the principal's granddaughter. She's telling Nina that at one point, her family(the Ashford family) was important enough to be granted audience with the royal family on request. Nina is asking her to use that influence to let her meet Princess Euphemia. Milly's replying and pointing out that the Ashfords don't have that standing anymore, and her social status can be summed up as "a principal's granddaughter."

KingPin

Wish they can post this series twice a week like they did with Death Note

Veya

I think we need to remember that they're willing to put up with Zero because they're desperate. They're fighting a superpower that subjugated their country and people. I think as long as Zero delivers results, they'll follow him even if it's a more transactional relationship rather than true loyalty.

Jack Harper_Games90

If you watch her through out the series she is generally shy, the current social climate in the show doesn't help her natural phobia of unfamiliar people and surroundings, infact it is as Darthwin Wright and cosmotron says - the culture in their society amplifies her fears.

Keshan Fonseka

I'm sorry for the essay long question. I'll keep it short next time. I just love this show so much that I have so many questions I'd like to ask therefore I cramp all of it in one question

Geass Revolution

this is the episode I have been waiting for!!! The way this show emphasizes tactics and cool tech in the fight scenes really is my favorite Also, I think it's important to remember that this came out 5-10 years before the other animes you guys have been watching (except death note) and anime has undergone a complete generation shift in terms of themes, plots, metaphor, etc. so drawing parallels between CG and other animes like AOT, DS or MHA might not be as fruitful.

Veya

Eh, don't think anime has undergone a giant shift at all in terms of writing style and substance (the themes are pretty similar). It has definitely shifted in terms of technical refinement and visual ambition but the storytelling style is still pretty similar. Still a lot more tell not show, a lot of direct exposition and presenting themes so directly in general. Shonen animes (at least the most popular ones) still uses the same tropes and execution style. DS has a lot that's reminiscent of say, Naruto, Reborn!, and MHA (down the style of protagonist struggling during a fight, some flashes of family/love that they need to protect, then a heroic second wind usually with a power up, new form etc.). That being said, I do think the further they go down the series, the less parallels you can draw between Lelouch and Light as individual characters as they are ultimately pretty different. More so than say, Tanjiro vs Deku or Naruto vs Luffy.

Dartz0023

Guren's radiation wave launcher claw is just too good.

SouthCoast

Lelouch and light got the same vibes, but imo I think Lelouch has more in common with Erwin from AoT.

Letts React

I appreciate the passion! It’s just far too hard to remember all the parts of the question if it’s so long haha

Edmel Madriaga

Yeah it would be great to have 2 ep per week. They seem to enjoy this series as much as death note

Justin Spencer

The Guren is one of my favorite mechs

No Consequence

The area around the mountain was meant to have been evacuated.

RenziRyuga

C2 is more like a demon who forged a contract with Lelouch since they are linked by that contract she always knows where he’s at. And until the terms of that contract become realized she will make sure he doesn’t die on her watch.

Peter Amet

Are we tryna excuse animated characters. Her only gripe with Suzaku is he's eleven. When she meets new Britannias she's fine. New eleven SCARY

Ambrosius

live with me or die with me .... sounds like marriage to me lol
