You’re Guys reactions really make my day!

CJ

Too good to us

Jinchuriki87

Montana is a beautiful woman...she can't be mad if Kenny wants to make THAT kind of bet 🤣🤣🤣

Keyblade

I couldn't wait and watched them on my own yesterday. This and the next episode are insane as someone who is new to the show. In my opinion two of the best episodes until now.

thevoidbender

“Don’t be gross.” AHAHAHAHA love her that was so funny. I also love that her picks for the fights are always wrong. Like her logic is sound but the anime is like haha nope.

Eric C

2 episodes in a day? you spoil us, sir

I always thought the parallels between bakugo and endeavour’s drive to be the best was concerning for bakugo’s future if he can’t grow beyond selfish motivation to be the best. All Might and Endeavour are like looking at deku and bakugo as adults if they don’t grow as people beyond self sacrifice for deku and pride for bakugo.

Jawrool

Don't worry Kenny I also tear up at this show more than any other. I think it's the music that really gets me.

JHB

The animations at the "pause points"/commercial break points are called "eycatches". To catch your eye: "Commercial time!...Commercials are over, back to the show!"

Æther Paradox

Just for endeavor context. Shoto is a smaller katana that was used to support the main sword in fighting. Even by name shoto is a tool for endeavor to use.

Kenny made me realize why I find uraraka so boring….. it’s because she’s healthy and from a drama perspective healthy characters are less exciting to watch. She has a lot of Sakuras from Naruto’s qualities on top of actually being well adjusted. Still fun to watch her give it her all but I wish she had more moments in the show but hard when there isn’t a character conflict to dive into

Ashley Garcia

Theirs something about the Ochaco VS Bakugo fight scene that makes me so emotional, it’s one of my favorite battles in the show.

Anyone ever realize Bakugo called Uraraka by her name after she showed off a plan that nearly got him? Before then he called her by her traits like anyone else.

Tom Horne

An important thing to note about this episode, is that it demonstrates just what kind of character that bakugo is. He starts by underestimating ochaco, calls her pink cheeks and plans to 'kill' her, but through-out the fight, he genuinely shows how careful he is taking her and that he doesn't want to risk her. Then after her big move, he is seriously impressed and pushed to his limit, forcing him to admit to himself just how good she is and that she almost beat him. As a result, he gains respect for her and calls her by her name, effectively treating her like an equal and not a 'side character' like he thinks of everyone else

Except Uraraka was an obvious loss from the getgo, so it really doesn't make any sense to bet her as a winner, unless you really believe this show is about subverting expectations. But then again, the writers would have to fuck logic REALLY HARD for Uraraka to win, just to pull off that kind of lesson.

I think people are underestimating how much Bakugo has grown in just 2 seasons. Sure, season 1 Bakugo was just a huge bully with not much substance to him and a huge narcissism issue, but season 2 Bakugo is more keen on not underestimating his opponents and even showing them the respect they deserve.

BLUEMONKEY18

I didn’t really realize this before, but I think this episode is the first time Deku sticks up to bullies, both Bakugo and Endeavor. I think he only can now because he’s standing up for others.

Maks the kinda guy who said Muhammad is obviously gonna lose his first title shot because he's too young unless they rig it. Bro you don't know shit till it happens cmon.

Luis Nava

I totally just realized Bakugo does in fact acknowledge Uraraka by calling her by her real name right after saying “It was close” with his arms damaged by his own explosion. 🤯🤯

I find this bit so fascinating! Not only because almost nobody picks up on it. But the show doesn't even draw any focus to it. Bakugo has never called anyone in the show by their name. But in this one moment Ochaco did something that made Bakugo acknowledge her enough to call her by her name. And even later on, Bakugo actually tends to be "nicer" to Ochaco when interacting with her (at least compared to everyone else).

He stands up to them as a kid in Episode 1. He just gets thrashed for it.
