Lelouch gaining the power of Geass at the start of this season is very similar to how he originally obtained the power in the first season, but this time key memories about his identity seem to be missing. Soft reboot with memory loss! In Light's case it was a planned maneuver that paid off with a great reveal, but here Lelouch regains his memories on the first episode back. The difference is he has to pretend he still doesn't have any. How do you think that will play out with his relationships at school etc.
