One thing I always have to remind myself about Todoroki and his social interactions is that he was purposefully kept away from his siblings, and was likely not able to socialize much during his childhood. So when he has these socially unaware moments, it only makes sense

Yeah exactly. Though it's a huge part of his character arc. It's nice how at the beginning he strictly uses his ice and is very cold to people, but as the series goes on and he embraces his fire, he becomes a warmer person. Easily top 5 character for me

Gestrid

I love how Todoroki and Yaoyorozu's final exam taught Todoroki to trust others and taught Yaoyorozu to trust herself.

In my opinion, Momo is one of the worst people Aizawa could face in class 1A because she can set up her quirk ahead of time. Once she makes something its there to stay. So long as she has a plan he literally doesn't have an advantage on her (which is how she won). I think the only other person in 1A less impacted by Aizawa is Invisible Girl (both because she's a mutant, so being invisible is who she is, and because he literally can't see her.)

Thanks for answering my question! Also, you ended up skipping over the part where recovery girl calls aizawa a "softie" because she recognized that he PURPOSELY allowed himself to get captured trying to help momo gain confidence (which is what she, herself, noticed and questioned. So it wasn't ENTIRELY her being hard on herself) finally...the joys of cats! Lmao

Going to add on to this because I was thinking it over some more. Aizawa is probably one of the worst people for Todoroki to fight. Not sure if it's happened yet, but its mentioned that Todoroki relies way to much on his quirk and when using it he tends to just stand in place. Unlike Deku or even Bakugo, he just straight up does not know how to fight without it. So once its taken away, he has nothing unless he planned something ahead of time.

You guys might be the nail in the coffin for convincing to get a cat. Yours are all so cute!

Ayla -

Your cat is adorable, did you name him after anyone in particular?

Gavin Daniels

Montana being nauseous because she hasn’t eaten but doesn’t want to eat because she feels nauseous is the most relatable thing I’ve heard in awhile 😂😂

Niche opinion, I really enjoy seeing the little adjustment bits Kenny leaves in, like the mic shadow on his face. I never considered how many things you have to set up properly to have the optimized reacting set up and it's cool to see behind the scenes sometimes

Kyle MacDonald

Fun fact: Momo chose to make russian nesting dolls because they were the first thing she learned to make, so they require the least thought to create.

Æther Paradox

New setup is indistinguishable from the previous one. Good job both of you.

chris

Cat attack and very fitting for what's to come

Synth

you guys posting episode 22 on my 22nd birthday :O that's poetic

derick thomas

By the way I'm not sure if you caught what the nurse said at 29:36 but it implied that aizawa let them win on purpose. Honestly, I think I loved that detail the most because it showed how much aizawa cares about his student I'm regretting not asking you the question so I could have heard your thoughts.

I feel so seen hahaha I often consider cutting those but I feel like it makes it more authentic on Patreon! Love showing y’all word flubs or adjustments or when the setup stops working haha

2 episodes away from one of the best episodes in the series

H-Bomb 24

Fun fact: Todomomo (Todoroki x Yaoyarozu) is a ship that the creator of MHA supports.

Dont know where you saw that at. I never heard anything about the creator specifying that

ColbyJackCheese

Idk if y'all made a decision on filler episodes, and Idk if this counts as a filler episode (I'm pretty sure it does) but I hope you react to Momo's episode during the hero licensing exam (s3e17) and relate back to this

Eh, I'm not a shipper of that myself (always liked Iida and Yaoyarozu more), but I got nothing against Todomomo.

Jay Red

I think you guys missed the part after they won but recovery girl stated the eraser head is a big softy after all. Meaning he could have stopped them but wanted her to regain her confidence so he purposely jumped back

Edwin Andrade

damn kenny's hair in this looks so on point

Is Poki, your cat, a reference to Korra with Miko and his army of flying lemurs

Sad Fact: Mr. Ectoplasms legs are prosthetics because he lost his legs in the line of duty. The legs he uses in combat are a sort of lightweight peg leg, while he uses normal prosthetics when in civilian clothes
