Question for Kenny (No Spoilers): I remember that you guys started this reaction series around the time of season 6 airing. I was wondering if you are waiting to see season 6 with Montana so it would be a blind reaction or if you watched it as it aired?

Kanta

Patreon is great for uploading video content! But be careful how much you depend on it, another react channel I really like had the entirety of Haikyu, MHA, and others on their patreon directly and they got hit with a big copyright strike. They had all those vids removed overnight! Now they have a google doc with links to those reactions

Jeannie Stigall

I was able to watch it with no problems.

Spooky_man

This is the end of act 1 lets start act 2!

Regarding All Might bowing to Deku and his mom: I think it’s based in Japanese Culture, someone of a higher “social status” shouldn’t be prostrating themselves to someone “below them” (I could be wrong, it’s just my interpretation) so him bowing down is him humbling himself before Deku’s mom. Which is why They said “All might don’t” Again just my thoughts

Butthead faxe

loved Montanas take on the Baku family it made me see the dynamic in a different way too

Christopher Collier

Kenny, in case you haven’t been told. The dub for the attack on Titan finale will he on crunchyroll on January 7th around midnight your time. :)

Colton Piper

I think All Might and Deku should have told his mom what is going on. Because all of her points are valid and pretty true. That would have been a hell of plot turn if Deku actually had to go to another school.

I also thought Izuku saying "All Might Don't" was him worried that All Might was about to say that he Gave his quirk to Izuku, and let her in on that secret.

But isn't this the whole point of this scene? A big and important person bowing to a "regular" person to show the deepest respect and to beg something.

Desert

yeah i can see this fine now mate thanks :)

Keyblade

I really hope you didn't skip the next episode, because it feels kinda like a filler, but is actually very enjoyable. Would be funny if you let Montana guess each characters room.

Zen Reacts

Not that I agree with Endeavors attitude at this point but I know what hes going though mentally. He wanted to actually prove he's the best and try to rise above All Might on his own merit. Just being given the top spot by default is kind of demeaning like saying "oh we have no choice to but to give it to you"

I second this! It's not filter if its character building!

Tobias Jeager

Can't wait til ur reaction of the first movie comes out! Will you be reacting to all 3 eventually?

Big K

Btw, Montana’s thing about kids being kinda comfortable mouthing off to parents is so true. Not to a point that is like really bad, but just like making jokes, having fun. That’s how it’s always been in my family, and it kinda creates a sense of mutual respect, rather than fear. Your parent becomes your friend rather than an enforcer

For me, the Bakugo family dynamic is interesting to me because of the key point that Kachan has been super talented, even gifted, from the beginning and fawned over, as his mom says, whether he deserved it or not. If you look for real world examples, there are a lot of kids who grow up getting praise and being looked up to because of something they inherited, like wealth or good looks, and it can easily cause them to behave in a spoiled manner with others if not checked. Imagine if Bakugo's parents were like Midoriya and his mom, gentle and sweet, he would absolutely run over them and intimidate them, so I feel like his mom being like that is kind of necessary to oppose his own strength and temper, otherwise he'd just be incredibly spoiled and have no boundaries.

seconded! With a show that has an ensemble, these little moments of fleshing out their characters and having them interact with each other is not filler at all, just us getting to know them a bit more.

Thyodor Cloudbreath

I was getting some buffering all throughout the episode sadly

ABRIKOS102

About bakugo’s family. There’s been a theory thta because of bakugos quirk his blood pressure, and heart rate always falls and in order to keep him lively and healthy he needs to be always in stress or agitated to have more adrenaline to fixate his state

bless ur hearts, the next episode is too iconic

Bakugou and his Mother's dynamic resonated a lot with me and my mom. She has raised me to feel comfortable to "mouth of" and wanted me to be able to defend myself when I was older. My mom and I are a lot alike in being hotheaded - yeah there are things that make it worse in inheriting traits like that at times, but Bakugou is getting older now and he is a teenager and he can come to his own realizations, but I think there is a lot of love there between his family. Knowing what her son needs, understanding his deep desires, understanding him as a whole - Love love Mitsuki

Loki

So while Bakugo didn't get his personality or most of his looks from his dad, he did get a key part of his quirk from him His dads quirk is Acid Sweat which makes the sweat from his palms have explosive properties, he can ignite it if he rubs his palms together. The issue is, he can't control the output, he just sweats like a normal person His Mom though, her Quirk is Glycerin, it allows her to produce a smooth liquid from her skin which is great for her skin Like Todoroki's parents, their quirks combined making Bakugo's super powerful quirk, but unlike Todoroki's parents, this was completely unintentional I just find it funny that while his Mom has an explosive personality, its his dad that had the explosive quirk

Eric C

Dad Might always gets me emotional

Bryan

Ooh this actually works way better now

Chobit

This format is definitely much better i feel

The problem in this scene isn't bowing lower actually. In Japanese culture, that position of putting your head in the ground is a very humiliating one, one that just the people deseperate enough use it, is not a position of humility and respect, is one of shame and no self respect, the sentiment around that position is very strong, that's why they ask him not to do it and that's why it such a big deal for All Might do that, since he is such an important icon.

Abby

Yay! It worked and I can see on my phone again! Thank you!

Ebronics

screaming an fighting is just how some families communicate. there's love behind the yelling and it scary to outsiders.

andrzej lll

I wanna just say in original japanese Midoriya just say All Might. not don't do it all might.. so i think english just hm i don't know add some bonus line?

WhateverIFeelLike

This episode hits way too close to home for me it’s like I’m literally watching my mom and little brother argue while AFO’s comments remind me of losing my own mentor and how much I grew because of it
