Multi Stan 17

I feel like the only Alpha who vibes with the Woke Up Remix. I’ve yet to see a reactor (or anyone else for that matter) agree with me. Oh well…

chill_cedric

Dont feel bad. I like a bit of the woke up remix, but it could have been left off the album

Mazerrun

i don't know how many times i rewind the video to see your faces when AWICH rap part come you made my day chred

Msken94

The “remix” felt like it was never ending. Terrible

PotatoParamedic

Thanks for the reaction! I wasn't a huge fan of the remix either but I do think it was awesome they had so many popular rappers from Korea and Japan want to be on it and I hope maybe it brought over some fans. In The Rain and Is This Love were incredible, I loved them. Supposedly Is This Love was written back in 2019 which means Simon has songs in the vault he's waiting to put out!

One thing I'm glad XG always does is that they don't do "empty choruses" they always come up with a good r&b type of chorus.

Brick

I think he included the remix on the album because they already sold Woke Up as a single, and those artists wanted to get paid, which is fair. The one cool benefit from it is the girls can hop on stage with any of these artists at any time and include their one verse. Already happened with Awich at a hip hop festival in Japan, and it was fire

Cmon_Manny

You guys literally brought it to fruition. XG is performing at Coachella !!!!!!

Sarah Morgane

Woke up remix was sooo unnecessary 😭 and okay why not make a remix but why that many people on this beat?????

therightscript

2 months late but I'll leave a comment just in case. The main point about the remix is that it's symbolic and historic. The remix is the first and ONLY track that features some of the biggest old school rappers from both Japan and Korea. These people are extremely respected in the Japanese and Korean hiphop scenes and they all came together for the first time on an XG track and rapped about how stupid the whole Jpop vs Kpop thing is...which is exactly the hate and backlash XG is having to deal with, and now they have 6 of the biggest names in the scene backing them.

Jones Supreme

It was annoncets that they're goin to Coachella this year
