Hawaii

I wished unloveu was for streaming world wide 💔💔

Chloé

I agree with you that it’s a bit too much that they’re ALWAYS almost naked in their MVs or on stage. Of course anyone can wear what they want but they’re still young and their bodies are being shown too often in lingerie. I’m the same age as Megan and it’s still pretty uncomfortable to see

AzoriaZaZaHai

To be honest and this is personally me. Idk what is happening but the direction is meh. I think honestly this Manon Hiatus has turned me off from them because no statement has been made. She is being not included in this EP, Coachella etc. Seeing your bias not apart of something sucks monkey balls. However who knows whats going on, but music wise I havent been able to enjoy as much. Now the Dressing??!?!?!?! No lie I get they cant control their age group that listens or watches them, but seeing how half naked they are now especially in Hooti Frooti is very uncomfortable to see.

Azizoh

I totally agree with the styling choice……

Hawaii

Exactly

Hawaii

I agree with the clothing, it’s…..a little too much despite them being barley adults

Hawaii

And imo, the beat in hootie frutti was only the good thing about the song 😭 everything else was ass….literally…

Mazerrun

the best song on the album is the one that lara created but is is not avalaible yet

I loved hearing yalls thoughts on this. I love katseye dearly but this entire era has felt weird to me. nothing feels authentic. everything is an ad, everything is selling sex. and like cris said in the youtube reaction, katseye actually does have a major kid audience. you should have seen the videos from their fansigns and appearances this era it was all a bunch of young kids. like ultimately yes it is on the parents to control what the kids do and stuff but hxg said from jump they wanted to target a young audience and i find it so strange how willing they are to let teenage girls do stuff like this (even if they want to). bc this happened even last era and last era half the group were teens still mind you. idk i support their confidence and expression i just wish we actually got to see THEM and not this image that the label is pushing, it is super cash-grabby

Jabriel Williams

This not demi; this Courtney cox; she actress from the show friends

you guys are exaggerating. They are grown girls, even when the stylists give them clothes, at least 4 of the members always asked for them to be changed so that they can show more skin. If it’s uncomfortable for you to see confident girls wearing clothes they actually like and not being covered like they are going to some religious event, than maybe the problem is not them nor the clothes. Also, teenagers and young women have been wearing like this for yearsss. I don’t know what you guys wear in the US or Canada, but in South America and Africa we don’t like being covered and we loveee to dance in tiny clothes.

Correia Alicia

what’s wrong with shaking ass? Teenagers are somking and getting pregnant but a group full of adults can’t shake some ass? It’s literally a dance move, very common in a lot of cultures

Chloé

they’re still young and look MUCH older than what they do. If you want to keep normalizing this it’s not my problem. the fact that they’re legally adults doesn’t change anything. they are in their early 20s, some of them finished high school like 2 years ago, they’re not even full adults yet. there’s a difference : showing skin ≠ being in lingerie. y’all need to realize that the image you portrayed on the internet has a huge impact and stay on it FOREVER. If it was one or two songs it will be fine but now it’s in EVERY song when it’s not even necessary.

About the clothing and the concept, it's normal that you guys don't know if they can take part on deciding things, because I don't think k you guys really watch other Katseye content. Like interviews, podcast or their own live streams... they always expose what they like or don't and what they have been saying lately, is that when they did SIS, they kinda felt like they weren't being themselves because of the cute and soft concept. They also said that they believe that this messy, chaotic and more mature concept suits them better and that this is the Album they really had the most input ever. You should react to "Katseye at Association Press" with Liam McEwan https://youtu.be/MSledU1VL-8?si=Pm9TIUAE7pOrmCm9 . It's a very long interview but it was a really explanatory one.

Correia Alicia

no it's not every song. it was just animal and hoodtie fruitti. And yes, the fact that they are adults change everything. They don't need us to be telling them what they should or should not show. And you can clearly notice that some of them like and some of them don't really like to show skin. For example Sophia and Yoonchae usually don't really show much, Lara and Dani love it, you can see that on their personal post on social media and Manon is in between.

I get that you’re criticizing what you see as “excessive sexualisation,” but I think you’re assuming that sensuality equals sexualisation against the girls’ will, and those aren’t automatically the same thing. They truly enjoyed enjoy being confident, attractive, sensual, showing skin, etc. During SIS era that was not the case, they looked bored and everything they did didn’t really fit their personalities. You can dislike their concept, but that doesn’t mean the members themselves are being forced into it. They’ve spoken positively about things they’ve made, including Yoonchae saying she liked “Hoodie Fruity,” so I don’t think it’s fair to speak over them and assume they’re uncomfortable just because you are. And yes, Yoonchae is only 18, but being the youngest member doesn’t automatically make the group’s image inappropriate. If there were evidence that she was being pressured into something she didn’t want, that would obviously be different. As for the Brazilian influence, I also disagree that simply using Brazilian-inspired aesthetics/sounds is appropriation. They didn’t mock Brazilian culture, degrade it, or claim it as their own. As a Brazilian myself, I actually enjoy seeing parts of our culture represented internationally. Not every use of another culture is appropriation. You can absolutely criticize the lyrics, marketing, product placement, or whatever else you personally dislike, but that’s different from claiming the girls are being sexualised or forced into something without evidence. If that kind of concept isn’t for you, fortunately, there are plenty of girl groups with completely different images.

Just because teenagers do that. Doesn’t make it right. All those actions teenagers AREN’T suppose to do

Hawaii

Exactly

The members have said they are in charge of what they wear. They’ve spoke about it on interviews. I mean they could be lying who knows. Agreeing what ya’ll said it just makes me look at them sideways, because they ARE very young. It is very drastic change because why did they go all out ONCE their youngest member turned legal…. Anyways, Music wise I think the album is alright. Also Lara made a song for the album but it’s only a Target Exclusive if you buy it.
