R2 version two is fully assembled, working and actually delighted!! Couple of minor improvements, the 12v motors work but a a tiny bit underpowered. I suspect my battery isn’t great and I’m going to look at the drives to see if the ratio can be tweaked to add some torque. 24v motors are the same fittings so could update the electronics however he rolls, turns and works so more than happy for now. Electronic mounts still need refining, I’ve got an electronic board inside and the battery but it’s just taped in at the moment. Palawan 360 with added code to drive the extra arms etc works a treat. Dan who wrote it is a true genius!! Next major bits are the 2-3-2 mechanism. That’s a bit piece of work so don’t promise any early Christmas pressies. I think (on suggestion) I’ll add the drinks holder before Christmas though, may add some festive fun for those with fast printers. Can’t believe it’s nearly December!! Anyhow happy printing and happy Thanksgiving to everyone who celebrates it! Mike.

Can't wait to get started on this. Been browsing the shared file site for this build. Is there a list of files or a folder with all components needed to print this build? Found the instructions for this and other R2 files, just not sure which would be correct for a full scale build.

Hello, I am struggling to open the onedrive link for all the files. I had it up for a second, Is it just the 2x MKIII folders i should be printing for a fully lofe size rc compatibale r2d2?? Could someone please share those 2 folders with me, if this is correct. (retrotrading00@outlook.com) thank you!

Ryan Roberts

How long roughly did it take you to print the entire thing?

Great work. the one thing people do ask me is about R2 bringing them drinks so that should be fun :) Thanks and have a good break! I suspect I wont get moch done over the next month :)

Why is it that mine is no where near that far along. I guess I need to stop wasting my time at work and get to the important things like getting R2 done.

Jason Hawkins

I dont see an updated sketch to operate the arms on the github site. Is there another link that i may be missing?

Do the parts for the fixed shoulders work for that particular pose?

Michael Baddeley

Hi, yes the fixed shoulder has two sets of holes for both 3 leg and 2 leg pose.

Joseph camden

is there a posting anywhere that shows exactly how the 3d printed legs go together?
