Two questions i have with this one: 1- Why remove spacer lamps? 2 - Illuminated mobilia ( dressers, wardrobes etc ) shouldnt require advanced components, thats ludicrous. Regular components and maybe a bit of plasteel would do dont you think? Rather unbalanced and unrealistic

Oskar Potocki

We’re very happy with the decisions made. Spacer lamps were overpowered and acted as a heater and a lamp in one. Illuminated furniture provides bonus to rest effectiveness, which is a huge strong buff, so the cost is adequate.

Gustavo Righetti

Ok, if they actually provide bonus to rest effectiveness to that level, it makes sense. The Spacer lamps SHOULD be overpowered, i loved using them. Heck, it was a superheated lamp that heated the greenhouse made with advanced components, things made with advanced tech SHOULD be overpowered im rimworld At the very least, add some sort of super-rare archotech replacement for the spacer lamp, that also improves plant growth rate

Oskar Potocki

Your only argument for why the spacer lamp should be overpowered is that you were using it. I don’t think that’s a good idea and a good argument for it. We’re happy with the fact that it has been removed. Sorry.

Gustavo Righetti

Sure, i doubt anyone else will be happy that you removed it tho : /

And yet, here are the actual arguments: - It is not overpowered if it actually consumes more electricity than a standart sunlamp - the whole point of this thing is not having to implement a heating system in the greenhouse, which would consume not much energy + 1/2 extra tiles for heaters or other modded heating system - the idea is that the extra 1/2 extra tiles/ energy used for heating would be compensated by the fact this building is expensive ( uses advanced components ) So clearly, i dont see how it was overpowered, the math checks out

We’re happy with our decision and so is the community. I’d appreciate some trust and for you not to ask if ‘I think something I added is wrong’, because believe me when I say it: if I’ve added it, I wanted it that way. I don’t make accidental mistakes when designing mods.
