“A large machine with a series of hammers, magnets, and foundries. Hammers pound rock chunks into dust, whereafter magnets collect metallic fragments before being dropped and melted into more pure, usable pieces. This machine has a notoriously low yield as most rock chunks have a negligible amount of extractable material. This machine can also be set to pound usable steel fragments from slag.”

Input: 3 slots: Rock chunks or SlagOutput: Steel

Size: 6x3

Coming in Vanilla Factions Expanded - Mechanoids.

This will be extremely useful! And I love the sprite too (I have a weak spot for industrial aesthetics). This mod is gonna be great, I'm telling you

Whoah, is this hand-loaded only or are also getting some conveyor belts to go with those inputs and outputs? Either way, that looks amazing and my hype is real.

Do I hear automation? Also, I know you have said that conveyor belts aren't easy to make work but I feel that they would work very well. Question: Is this a blueprint we can place, or is it a quest item?

My overfilled dump-piles thank you in advance for this addition. XD

That's so dope. I love the core idea of Project RimFactory, but they've strayed far from Vanilla style and have a lot of clutter'ish buildings, typos & over-powered stuff. I was working with them correcting the typos and such for a while, but can't bring myself to do it anymore because they keep adding content I don't fancy. This machine you're working on looks great and sounds balanced. PRF created custom conveyor belts, after they weren't happy with Industrial Rollers anymore. They're nice folks and you could probably ask for their code, everyone loves you and your work with Vanilla Expanded everywhere. Are you planning on additional factory machines?

The PRF team is working on a revision to their belts currently and are having a discussion over the art style to use. They almost had a decision, then they saw this machine. :)
