Hey folks! Little teaser.

I'm starting my own Royalty playthrough, and of course I need a little bit extra from my Ideology, and it just so happens I have a great modding team, so I came up with exactly what I need - a new Royalty-inspired meme.

This meme will work perfectly for those of you who want to have a little royal family, and potentially attempt a 'Generations' playthrough thanks to the Title inheritance precept. You will be able to use more permits and use them more often, truly relying on the Imperial power.

Everyone will love your Royalty - the higher their rank, the higher the opinion boost.

The gem of this meme is Majordomo - a glorified butler tasked with ensuring that everything is running smoothly. Majordomo has following benefits:

GlobalWorkSpeed: +30%

Rest fall factor: x0.75

Working fills recreation bar

All work types become enabled, even if backstory prevents that.

Violence is disabled, always.

The only requirement is lack of a noble title. The moment Majordomo receives any title, even freeholder, they will stop being a Majordomo.

Majordomo also has access to a unique ability called Work command.

Work Command

Instruct everyone around to work harder and be more diligent, boosting global work speed and the cost of depleting recreation. The effect remains attached to the caster for 24 hours.

Hediff description: "This person's work speed is boosted thanks to being near someone who is using the work command ability."

GlobalWorkSpeed: +50%

Recreation fall rate: x2

AoE Radius: 9.9 tiles around the caster

Duration: 1 ingame day (60.000 ticks)

Effects: Only when in radius

I hope you will appreciate this really small update. I'm really looking forward to it myself!

This is very exciting!! When Ideology came out I was really hoping for something like this to be included!

I am looking forward for this Ideology meme 🥰 because I like to try all the memes for my ideology. Sometimes, I play fluid (which means only one meme and eithet Impact 1 or Impact 2) and seeing this is Impact 2 ... It's so good. Please do not make it Impact 3 🥺

The Gaming Archaeologist

This is exactly what I was hoping from the royalty meme! To create my own horrific and also historically accurate royal family.

Nice! But unfortunately to late. I'm currently at the end of a "Royalty Run" and would have been able to make good use of the new meme. (I am eager to start a new game though - possibly with the upcoming "cavemen-mod" - as my game started to stutter like crazy and larger raids are a slide show ... :( )

I've been considering a psychopathic Bloodfeeders cult run (with a custom Sanguophage xenotype using some stuff from VRE Archons including the Maniac trait). This looks useful to provide another static +X opinion between my beautiful psychopath vampires (of noble rank). One more thing which would fit really well in this Meme would be "Leader: Highest Title", like Blood Court, Craft Culture or Psychic Focus.

Kristian Skistad

Oh wow! Any timeline on this when compared to VFE - Tribals? Like before, after, around the same time? Seems like it'd go great with it for my upcoming generations playthrough.

The Happy Turtle

Very cool, definitely going to be using it in my current Imperial Mechanitor run. Would it be feasible to have title inheritance compatible with the male/female supremacy memes to limit inheritance to that sex alone?

Kuru Chilion

Does that mean Progressive's "Automation Efficiency: Increased" will also be updated to affect biotech mechanoids too?

Ian Napier

I had wondered in the past about this but I was curious if there would be an aspect that could give the leader role to the highest ranked noble. Possibly that wouldn't do much though since you can pretty easily control the ranks to make sure your leader always has the highest rank

HeRsChEl

The Majordomo reminds me so much of the movie Remains of the day.

If you're going to update vanilla ideology, shouldn't you add things like origins and styles for vikings, medieval, and all the other factions expanded?

Brandon Arnold

It would be cool if you could recruit any pawn you call in from permits it would just cost honor

Sondre

This is good! I see you're adding code to allow skills that was otherwise disbled (or was that already possible?), that means the time is ripe to add the following precepts: - Essential Skill (select one skill): The skill is always enabled for beleivers. - Forbidden Skill (select one skill): The skill is disabled for all beleivers.

KaneLives

yay! this is what I always wished the aristocratic meme was

Frog

will we be notified when this is out? im really excited :D

The Gaming Archaeologist

I do have one comment, though can't remember which mod, but I feel those who have Insectoid Primacy or Serktism, whatever it's called, should be immune from the fear effect of the insectoids granted by vanilla expanded.

Do you have an estimate for when this will be updated? I'm in the middle of an Imperial run and would love this to be a part of it
