Here’s my last interior practice drawing for this month. It’s been a while since I painted a nice run-down kitchen :)

Hope you guys are having a good week and enjoy the holidays coming up, despite everything going on in the world! I’ll be celebrating with just Arjen and we’re looking forward to just eating a lot of food and watching christmas movies. What are you guys gonna do?

That dirty ceiling is a really nice touch. Loving the new aesthetic you’ve been going for with these interior design pieces.

I love the color palette! We'll be going over to my parents', with my sister and her husband (they're in our bubble) to spend the night and celebrate. Hope you and Arjen have a wonderful holiday!

Who wants a free copy of The Art of Loish? I got confused on the website, was trying to order the sketchbook, then I saw the option of getting a signed one and thought, "why not!" (btw the shipping was more than the book, which is funny) ANYWHO a few weeks later this shows up https://i.imgur.com/CogUeuq.jpg so if you want an unsigned copy, let me know and I will ship it to you as an xmas gift thingy. Figured here was a good place to try to give it away.

Wow..😁 Happy Christmas 🥳

I love that you create work that feels lived in! Interiors that are a little worn down. Even in your rendering tutorial you made a comment about making the character feel more adult by filling her out a bit. It’s those little things that help people connect to work much better and you’re so in tune with it. Very lovely to see in the community :)

This reminds me so much of living in the cities with small kitchens. I love these interior cozy pieces. I’m spending holidays with my boyfriends families this year since mine is overseas, hopefully I’ll get to see them soon. Merry Christmas Loish!

2026-09-13 22:00 Run-down or not, it looks cozy and homey! Loving all these interiors you've been working on lately, Lois. :) We'll be doing the same for the holidays, with the only exception being watching anime over movies. But that's a year-round thing anyway :) Merry Christmas and enjoy all the delicious noms the season has to offer! <3

Hiya, this looks great! I'm still really new on this, do you have any suggestion on how to practice the poses ? I'm watching the posing video now.

2026-09-13 22:00 This is lovely. Yes, staying home for Christmas with my s.o. Too! Could be worse, and I'm glad I have him to cozy up to. Stardew Valley and the mandalorian this week!

Omg I love this. Reminds me of your presse work from years ago. It was the first work I saw from you. It feels so cosy.

Loish

Bonjour Lois :) I just discovered your work - i’m a photographer who couldn’t work much because of COVID so I took on drawing again 😁 your work is fabulous and I also love both your books 💜 I’m struggling to go from pencil landscape drawing (on iPad) to color / portraits. I was wondering if you have/will do a process/tutorial about interiors ! Thanks for creating such awesomeness 🥳
