Some cat sketches! Drew them from reference first, and then made some stylized sketches immediately afterwards. I always think it’s interesting to see how my creative choices are different when I’m aiming for something slightly more cartoony!

By the way, I finished recording the style Q&A earlier today and will be posting it as soon as the captions are in, so probably early next week! It ended up being two hours long haha, I am terrible at keeping things to the point. I think you guys will like it though! Keep an eye out :)

Beautiful! Was this in photoshop or procreate?

actually a mix of sketching on paper, painting in procreate, and then finalizing it in photoshop! very mixed media, haha

Juan Gagliardo

Oww! The faces on the second image are priceless hahaha!! And about the video, I don't know what the majority think, but I prefer longer videos where people speak more naturally, instead of fast paced cut-to-the-chase ones. I don't mind either way, but if I could choose, I'd take longer videos. I don't actually know what would be easier to make, because the longer one is a lot of time filming, but less editing (I imagine, but maybe is the same)

So cuuuuteeee!!!! I loooove how you draw animals! Well.. I love how you draw everything :)) Can't wait for the Q&A video, it's great it's longer, I'll be drawing while listening to it :)

Tyler

My favorites are the happy cats pushing their backs into the ground!

Keith Ward

As a cat person I love both pictures but the expressions in the second picture are priceless!

Spucka

I loved the surprised cat in the second picture..

Ece's Art

Super cute! I love their expressions <3

Anton Egorov

That crazy look with blue eyes 😅 Can’t wait to see next video. Don’t bother cutting it, all thoughts are valuable and I enjoy listening you 🙌

Atılay Sargın

Excited to see Q&A video! Btw they’re awesome 😸

Kesha Felipa

They’re so cute! I agree with Spucka: love the suprised cat. Could you consider in the future a tutorial about drawing animal with outspoken (or subtle) facial expressions? I really like how you draw semi-cartoony animals :)

Alicia

Oh my gosh, the expressions on the cats in the second one...love~

Loish, maybe you could make a post/video about reducing the object to their basic movement? (i know you have stuff on gestures, but i was thinking on the movement of the cats as the essence of the cats to the point of almost making the drawing abstract but still keeping the feeling of "it's a cat") And yes, these are great :)

Niquey

These are too cute! And I'm soooo excited for the style Q&A!

Lauri Panopoulos

The sketches are really great. I see my cats in several of them especially the one showing us it's belly! Looking forward to your video on style.

Mari Bertolin

haha thank you! my cat often had the grumpy expression so she was the inspiration for those.

thanks so much :) for me it's a lot easier to just do a longer one with no editing. it saves a lot of time with the editing part, but also doesn't require me to filter or organize my thoughts as much. it feels more 'free' to create! it's what I did with the final videos. just posted the first one, hope you enjoy it!

smunchkin
