I did inktober back in 2018, and created a drawing for ‘thunder’ showing someone with strong emotions and clouds all around them. I didn’t like how it turned out in the end, because I really struggled to capture the emotion in my ink sketch and I felt like I didn't succeed. I decided to revisit this one and recreate it in more of a painterly style. So here’s my 2021 version of this original inktober sketch!

2026-09-13 21:00 This is certainly full of emotion… I have a rare illness that causes extreme pain, this is how I feel on the bad days. Just stunning, & can see your growth in these years between.

I just love it. This emotions is brilliant. I love her face and her hear. And the light colour around head and contrast with the clouds ❤️ You make this in Procreate or Photoshop?

Ashleigh Cheyne

This is amazing 😍 what ink did you use for the 2018 one (I'm guessing it's not only the fine liner?)

Juan Gagliardo

I'd watch a movie with that poster! Now that I see this version, the original looks like it was the original thumbnail exploring the idea

Goomy Design

the 2018 one looks really nice but this is definitely more raw and emotional. what a glow up!

Wow! I think this is my new favorite drawing of yours!! The details in the eyes and the overall expression is so strong! And the twisting of the hair is like a storm cyclone of her emotions. This is wonderful

2026-09-13 21:00 There was another piece you painted that had a similar palette but the subject was standing still. I forget the title. This piece feels like it is moving stage left. Probably because the arm and the neck are nearly aligned. And again you nailed the hair to seem as smoke in the wind. That hair is gorgeous.

This is amazing! The expression is captured wonderfully, do you use reference for these type of faces or is it all from memory? :0

Loish

thank you so much! I used some references for this one, since this expression is very different from what I normally do!
