Remember these thumbnails that I posted a long time ago? Most of you said that you liked the fourth one, so I decided to go ahead and finalize that one! I’ve been using a technique for some of my paintings lately where I go from greyscale to color using different overlay layers. I used that technique here as well, gradually adding more and more blue / pink tones. It’s really time consuming, but I like the end result because it allows me to focus more on the contrast in the early stages! I’ll try to put together a process video for this painting. Thanks for all your feedback on the thumbnail version, and I hope you like this end result!

Amazing work Loish! Really love seeing this recent rendering style with the emphasis on the crosshatching and messier brushstrokes. It creates such a nice painterly effect that suits your style and compositions so well! Can't wait to see the process video. :)

I really dig the hatchy style! Such a neat look for a painting!

Archambelle

It's really interesting to see how you changed the shape of her face just to go back and decide that it was better before. I love seeing your process, thank you so much!

Jan

Delphitact

Loish

that one was my fave too. I will probably do it at some point in the future!

Loish

haha yes I do that a lot! I'm working on a process video of a different painting where I spend ages rendering the face only to go back to an earlier version. I usually like the sketch more.

Julia Jager

Love that you left it more rough, it makes it a very dynamic digital painting, beautiful <3

Juan Gagliardo

I love how you did the bubbles to make it more dynamic 😍

Jules

I love the movement in this, its beautiful!

ScribbledCrayon

Love love loooooooove the lighting - the bright white practically illuminating her face with a sharp, stark contrast! I know I’ve been struggling with values in my own work, so super excited to see the process video for this one, especially with your slightly-new use of a greyscale map in your workflow!!!

Jared Schmitz

I love the colors on her torso! That almost transparent effect that you got is so pretty.

Mari Roldan

Will we be able to get a tutorial on how you went from greyscale to color using blend modes ?

ChrisiaDraws

So gorgeous! I really love how her face is framed by the light <3

Lionlessart

This is beautiful!! Probably one of my new favorites. Excited for the video process!

Loish

I'm thinking of making one, once I have the technique down. Right now I'm still messing around with it a lot, going back and forth without a clear method. but I'm getting there!

Loish

thank you! it's indeed new for me, still trying to figure out my way there!

Loish

thank you! I've felt less of a need to polish up my paintings lately.

GDJ

Looking forward to seeing the painting process

Me encanta Loish!!! La fuerza y los colores empleados. El escorzo/perspectiva tan dinámico que empleas, para mí es una de las cosas más difíciles a la hora de dibujar. Es una pasada ;)

Ashley Cirimeli

Yay! I was hoping there would be a process video for this one. Can’t wait to see it! I’m totally enchanted and I hope there will be prints available soon ♥️

Tran

This is fantastic Loish :))))

Charlie Carter

This is magical! I think it may be my favorite piece of yours. I’ve been loving the rake brush, is that something you made or something you found?

Loish

it was in a brush set that i bought (viorie's brushset) but it's soo easy to make. just a few dots arranged vertically and you've got yourself a rake!

Ayu

This is beautiful Lois! Was wondering if you had posted the process video for this one somewhere and I may have missed it hehe…

Loish

I haven't posted the process for this one! but I'll be working on it and posting it in the coming weeks!
