Here’s the process video for my gibson girl sketches! It’s filmed vertically, because I feel like this orientation works better to film the page, which was vertical. I’d love to hear your opinions on this filming orientation: do you prefer widescreen or vertical video? Let me know what you think! Hope you enjoy this one ~ it’s filmed in real time but you can speed it up or slow it down using the gear button!

:X I am Team Widescreen

I normally prefer widescreen, but this orientation didnt feel too strange because of what you said: the orientation of the paper

Love this! I wasn't sure how I would feel about the vertical filming, but it totally allows me to have another screen up with my tools available to follow along digitally and still be able to see the full video =] That is AWESOME!

I think it fits very well for this type of drawing! I really like these "over the shoulders" videos where hands are visible. I would love to see this kind of video for the digital drawings as well sometimes, I love the types you create for reals :)

Jill Anderson

Do you know I'm totally not fussy on video orientation. Either or for me. I could watch you draw for days 😍 must get my inks out again

This has totally inspired me to go back to some pen drawings. As a kid, I used to love doing hair like this with dark lead pencils. I love the shiny look you could get. This gives me so much nostalgia! ❤️

Your process always looks so satisfying! What sketchbook do you use? Looks like it can be opened flat, but it's not spring! :o

Loish

glad you liked it!! i feel like it's a good combo with the inking tutorial :)

Loish

yes, drawing hair with pencil is also incredibly satisfying and soothing!

Eva Chaves

It says the video is not available 😞😞

Loish

oh no! that's so frustrating. vimeo throws up some errors due to a recent change in security coding. are you watching it in the app? try viewing it in the browser, it might work then!

Eva Chaves

Thank u so much Loish, I'll try 🥰

Lupsylium

I really love these portraits and the video is so nice 💜 how do you feel about your art being tatooed ? I think about it but I want to know if you’re okay with it or no 🥰💜

Loish

I'm definitely ok with that, what a huge compliment! thanks for the kind words :)

Lupsylium

Thanks a lot, can't wait to read your book 💜💜
