EARLY ACCESS // whisper (Patreon)

Here’s a new digital painting that I created pretty spontaneously! I was working on other stuff and had a sudden idea for a sketch, so I started sketching it out on my laptop with my intuos pro. It’s been a long time since I drew with a USB tablet instead of a screen tablet, but I think it made the sketch a bit looser which was a good thing! At first I went with a purple ‘swirl’, but I was kind of struggling with it. I showed it to Arjen and he said that he liked the vulnerability of the girl against the dark background, and suggested changing the color of the swirl to enhance that more. So I made it more transparent and I felt like that worked a lot better! So here’s the final result.

It’s typical of me that I have literally 7 WIPs lying around to finish but then just start on a totally new painting on a whim :’) I’m glad that I have more room in my schedule to randomly draw what comes up, though! Hope you like this one!
