At long last, I finally got around to finishing this painting! Here’s the line version that I painted on top of. I tried a new workflow for this one which made it a bazillion times more time consuming than previous paintings, and there’s still a bunch of stuff that’s bothering me but I’m going to just leave it for now. I just haven’t found an approach to adding color to detailed, clean lines that doesn’t involve painting over them and doubling the amount of work, haha! Maybe I should take a more minimalistic approach next time I try this so that the lines stand out a bit more! Have you ever found yourself spending so much time on a painting when trying a new workflow?

By the way, I’m wrapping up the tutorial today and will post it early next week ~ It’s going to be on urban speedpainting and I think you guys will like it! Have an amazing weekend lovely patrons!

Omg this is so so good Loish! Love her design, the couch design, the colors, the mood, it is stunning 😱 I don’t really collect prints and I would love to have a print of this. Amazing job 👌

I love the fact that the figure is in a cruciform pose, along with the armrest of the seat. I like the vertical degradé from dark to white and the desaturated colors. And finally… if I keep my eyes half open I vaguely see something abstract. Which I find very important in a figurative work. So it’s a brilliant and strong piece. Love it very much. Congratulations.

Ahhh! It came out so good!! I will def snag a print of this one as well. I know you were playing around with different color palettes, and I think you nailed it with the sci-fi theme. The desaturated colors work SO well. I'd love to hear about this new workflow you've been trying too!

Hovey Eyres

Of course the colour is a win here. For me the position of her foot, pointed toe, and locked gaze are VERY successful in holding my attention and making me super curious about this character and her world.
