@ibenz009 Does the ninja know they're still alive? Also, why doesn't Edith simply ascend herself and leave the couple alone? She certainly retained her free will, so why would she take away Roland and Daisy's (I call them Scarlett and Lachlan) freedom away?

Oh fuck me, I forgot this story continued beyond what the initial sketches laid out. Some epic shit was in the offing here! If I had to call out one bestest thing about these pages, it would be the prismatic look of Ascended Shop Lady's "shawl". That's a really striking effect when set against her more typical liquid metal and crystalline makeup.

@Benjamin Lawton I always found it strange how the comics had Edith go "I wish these two weren't the ones to be reformatted", and made it seem like a giant prerequisite to turning into a metalloid herself ... unless they were just a distraction so that Edith could transform and make a getaway. Other than that, I have no idea what logical reason there is to enslaving these two long time patrons. What say you, Ben?

Yes the couple got transform due to emergency of being unexpectedly visit by ninja. So she can use those two to buy time so she can prepare for her transformation.
