Domesticated Slimes (Patreon)

Mimic is a shortstack, confirmed?

Bit of lore about domesticated mimic slimes:
Domesticated slimes (like Mimic) are slimes that learn to speak, blend in with society, and even hold jobs. This allows them to secure better food sources and live longer. However, they are rare since this solitary lifestyle only emerges after years of isolation from the collective slime biomass--which is highly unnatural for slimes. Most isolated slimes will either die quickly or remerge with the biomass. Even an old domestic slime will still attempt to remerge with the biomass at the first chance it gets. It is therefore only through external intervention or extreme circumstance that a slime becomes domesticated.
Mimic became domesticated after the slime biomass mysteriously vanished.
