Another super long elimination episode.
This one was really fun. I liked the protect the princess moment. LOL!
I'm excited for the next round!

I don't remember if it was this elimination or the next one but Zhang Shaibaou wrote a speech all by himself in full Korean and read it all by himself but they cut it out entirely. He did it because he knew the show was making it seem like he didn't wanna learn Korean

And they edited it out? That's kind of evil. 😭 I have noticed they have been shady with his editing already.

Connor

I will never get over that HORRIBLE wig that they gave Jiwoong. That wig looks like it's been AROUND.

oddinry

i love woongki and seowon's little vlog in this episode lol

Connor

To make these parts a little bit happier 2:19:23 Both of them debuted together in EVNNE with 5 other Boys Planet trainees Jihoo, Yunseo, Park Hanbin, Keita, and Seungeon 2:28:14 They debuted together in the group TIOT with 2 other trainees from Boys Planet and one who wasn't on Boys Planet

Evan Murray

I loved when you said Woongki is a good actor! He really is. He completely stole Love for Love's Sake for me - he's in a support role but I think he's the best part of the show 😁

LISA SA

when did you ever reacted to "say my name"? :0 I dont remember this but I'd love to watch. maybe you saw parts of it in the zb1 guide you reacted to?

LISA SA

btw, Hanbin studio choom AOTM "Bad Boy" reaction when? ^.^ (studio choom also released a behind the scene content where they tell the story behind Hanbin's performance, the meaning behind the dance and all that. its kinda long though, 46 minutes).

I thought it was on the 1st album 😭 I guess not. But I've definitely heard the song somewhere? 😭

Thank you for another great episode.. I like watching you react to Boys Planet cuz your way of thinking about certian moments that happen sometimes help me see things i may have missed or seen in different light when i watched it by myself. So i get to know/see things in other perspective and be more understanding that i may not have been before(if that make sense) .Especially in previous episodes. Excited for another episode and hope to see it soon.

The fact that they never aired any of the elimination/safe speeches Shauibo did and barely aired any interview segments of him throughtout the show. The only time we got any Shauibo screentime was during "Feel Special" and some behind the scenes footage and I think that's also a contributing factor on how MNET was able to paint him as the bad guy and craft a "character" of him because we literally knew nothing of his personality unless you looked him up or watched the previous survival show he was on.

Yes exactly. From all the survival shows I’ve watched the foreign one tend to get the worst of the evil editing because they can’t defend themselves. Or if they try they just cut it out entirely.

I think one of the best things about Boys Planet is seeing how talented many of the trainees are and the bond they created with each other. I absolutely love the top 18 and so many of the other trainees in the top 50. While Boys Planet was airing, there was so much hate towards some of these trainees, with people calling them ugly, cringey, and other hateful things without any valid reasons. It was sad to watch some of these trainees lose confidence. And I still see some of these comments even a year after the show ended. I wish we could support all of them!

Gahhh the way they tried to start beef between Hanbin and Matthew is ridiculous and warning, they will drag it out as long as possible. 54:51 THIS MOMENT. Jongwoo is exactly the type of leader that Ma Jingxian needed. MJX has shown time and time again that he is capable of pulling off a good performance and does practice hard, but he tends to stray away from pack and do things on his own when being part of a group means you should work things out together. Jongwoo is always very firm with his words and is always about putting the group first. Like he said, he is willing to listen to everyone's thoughts and ideas but if they weren't benefitting of the group overall and just for personal gain, then he's not going to take that in to consideration. He straightup told MJX that he couldn't just take a few lines of a part because he liked that part because the parts have already been divided up and because Jongwoo was gentle but firm with his tone, MJX immediately back down and understood. Then throughout practice Jongwoo just kept him in check and MJX seemed to respect that and didn't stray away or cause futher issues. I love Jongwoo. He's great and it was amazing to see his ungodly rise going from 67th place to 38th to 15th. Woongki and Seowon duo is ✨ICONIC✨ they matched each other's energy so well. They're hilarious and well loved by the other guys. 1:24:59 the point of them showing the 28th place candidate before voting closed was definitely for DRAMA. I think it was basically to add drama to Woongki and the "Feel Special" Team. I remember how brutal the internet was to Shauibo even for this moment. People were basically blaming him as if he was the cause of Woongki almost geting eliminated and him practically having a panic attack here. But in reality, Woongki's ranking had been declining for a few weeks, even before Feel Special so idk how Shauibo was the cause of it. Anyways, so glad it worked out in the end and Woongki survived. He's such a joy to have around Boys Planet. He's so unapologetically himself. 1:44:08 Lol, look at how Krystian is smiling here, this guy was so glad he's eliminated. I remember being sad he didn't survive to the next round but literally, as soon as the episode ended, he posted a photo of himself on Instagram with the caption "I'm Free" Btw, they did way more than 2 activites doing the whole field day segment. They did upload some more of it on youtube. Also, just a sidenote, I was literally playing Genshin when I was watching this XD

I already loved Jongwoo after the Home performance, but seeing his leadership, I started to vote for him even more, he is an amazing leader!

I’ll be honest I was one of those people. But I was ignorant I learned things and I fell for the evil editing. But that was wrong of me.

OMG we are about to enter the Matthew Say My Name Drama that MNET is going to MILK as much content as possible from. 3 weeks of defending Matthew online from haters. Thankfully you are very indifferent to the drama! Excited to see your reaction to the the last few eps! You are in the final stretch <3

Chan Chowder

I feel like this would be the perfect time to watch all the Boy's planet extra content like Mnet perf and behind the scenes. It would catch you up to things before the final challenge <3

From what I have read, they used what happened during one morning for 2 episodes and all the promos. It was hard for us Matthew stans.

Evan Murray
>>146454456

It's so obvious, too - watching it back, the whole thing was resolved so quickly. They just made it seem like forever. We know there wasn't a lot of actual drama because if there was they wouldn't have had to work so hard to blow small conflicts out of proportion. Poor Matthew.

Peak time could be your next favourite!!!!

jenn_sone

Hi Sir Austin! Can you react to Produce 48 too? 😌😌

Evan Murray
>>146437625

I'm glad you've thought about it again... No matter what else is true, they're young people in a high-stress environment, doing their best while being set up to fail over and over again. Even if some of them react badly sometimes, it just means they're human. The editing is designed to create conflict and get people riled up to drive up ratings ☹️ once you see it, though, you won't fall for it as easily in the future 💜

Evan Murray
>>146383334

Other folks got done dirty too but a lot of them also got good footage to balance it out.

CB
>>146402905

they have performed it as zb1 several times (kcon japan before their debut, at their first fancon, etc) and even recorded an official dance practice for it so there are a lot of things it could have been.

LISA SA
>>146438604

Me too I voted for him too, he is amazing! I follow him, Jay and the others on Onepact!

Chan Chowder
>>146454456

Exactly!! They made it seem like it happened for days but was just a span of 1-2 hours. Let Matthew breatheee TT_TT

Omg, I came back here again to complete the boysplanet reactions journey. I just want to talk a little about ranking and solo stans. The center announced survival shows have big power toward the center, like the MNET PD series. So it's expected that fans expect benefits according to the ranking, especially the center benefits. Most of this solo stan problem comes with WK1 not dividing benefits according to ranking/popularity & demand. And survival shows have always crowed by solo stans & sunb fandom fanwars, bcuz before the group it's always been their bias who they voted like their lives depend on.

Those are prescription glasses, Jiwoong doesn't have the best eye sight. He always wears lenses but they dry his eyes so much.
