This was so fun & silly. I was worried that it would be awkward or feel kind of icky.
But it was very silly & campy. I loved it. Also...why is Jiwoong so good at flirting?
It was so fun to see Gyuvin be shy/quiet/awkward because he is always so loud and goofy.

Kissable Lips is actually a tragic vampire romance but it's... Let's go with not particularly well written? The actors did everything they could with it. Roommates of Poongduck is much better IMO but probably it's exactly what you don't like. Do yourself a favor though - watch the behind the scenes of the final kissing scene. It's easy to find and makes it quite clear the actors aren't unhappy about their job 😁 I just laughed out loud when you said at the outset that you wanted to see someone come on and flirt outrageously with the hosts 😁

I've watched a fair bit of Jewel Box and thought about it .. I've also seen that past guests have talked about how they were treated on set and it's what you'd hope - they know in advance what's coming, it's all quite professional. And as a fabulous gay man myself, the whole thing reads to me as delightfully self-referential camp. It's silly enough to not be too threatening in a cultural sense while still being unapologetic. Like the US in the 90s / 2000s - the original Queer Eye did some of that. Birdcage, To Wong Fu, But I'm a Cheerleader... The (straight) audience was invited to laugh at us because we were also laughing at ourselves. It was an important step toward public acceptance, I think. I've seen some young US queers say they hate that the show perpetuates stereotypes, which is a fair reaction but really doesn't get at why an out gay Korean entertainer might choose to play this heightened version of himself. I wish I could talk with him about his choices, but since I can't, I tend to land on assuming he knows what he's doing.
