would LOVE to see you react to tae's friendship ver in the soop whenever you have time:) seojun and wooshik are two of tae's friends that were in it with him and are both very popular actors! Thanks for the reaction, was looking forward to watching this with you:) <3

I’m almost done watching on prime and will watch this after. I love the show and love that they sprinkle BTS’s songs. We might get new armys! 😊

I don’t comment that often, but me and you have had a convo or too in twitter a couple of times BUT I just wanted to tell you, YOU ARE SO APPRECIATED AUSTIN! There is no reactor out there like you! You give us so much and I can’t tell you how grateful I am for you❤️ whenever I’ve had a crappy day you’re always there to pick me up wether it’s a patreon post of a funny tweet so thank you so muchhhh💜💜💜

I also don’t comment often but when I see that you have a new reaction on here or your YT channel it makes my day brighter. Thank you for being you:) SeoJun is top actor in many kdramas including the “Itaewon Class” (Tae sang the record breaking OST) & “Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth” (where he met Tae). He has also been cast to play along side Captain Marvel in her next movie. Wooshik was a member of the Golden Globe & Oscar winning film “Parasite”. He was also the lead in the kdrama “Our Beloved Summer” which feature another record breaking OST by his friend Kim Taehyung. Both amazing actors and very close friends & part of the Wooga Squad which also includes Peakboy (musician, producer, rapper & school mate of SeoJun & released “Snow Flower” duet with Tae) and Park Hyung-sik (actor also in Hwarang and other kdramas & debuted as member of boy group ZE:A in 2010). Yes these 5 best friends starred in the Disney+ “In The Soop: Friendcation”. It’s a wonderful series. TY for all your wonderful reactions. Makes me feel like I’m watching with a friend. Take care of you. 💜🫶

They were actually able to keep Tae's trip secret! I only heard faint whispers on the internet that Tae was in Mexico, and it seemed unbelieveable because we hadn't even seen him leave Korea, like we usually do whenever they go anywhere... so really we only had it confirmed when he returned and posted pictures. I'm glad it worked out and he was able to do this show with his friends - Tae really loves doing things with Seojun and Wooshik. You should totally do In the Soop: Friendcation and meet his other friends in the group too - it's a low-key chill time, but it's really neat to see Tae's dynamic with everyone when he's the maknae by a large margin. This was a great surprise today! Thanks so much for giving me someone to watch the show with :)

aww thank you so much for reacting to this series, I am sooo appreciative, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to watch it!!! Enjoyed your commentary & love that we have 3 of the wooga squad here, esp. our loveable Kim Taehyung 🥰🥰🥰

ilays

Seojun, Wooshik , & Taehyung being the prettiest and most successful best friends I don’t think I can make it through this show. I barely survived in the soop 😭 also Yumi is so fine too like pretty women are my weakness…

Gabriela Madrid

Thank you for reacting to this!! I really wanted to watch it but it's not available in my country :( (filmed in latinamerica but not available for latinamerica lol) and i'm also glad that i got to watch it with you uwu. And yes, Seojun and Wooshik are both part of the Wooga Squad along with Tae. And just so you know, Seojun actually plays the main character in Hwarang, in case you needed more motivation to watch it hahahah

Jewett Laygo

I echo everyone on this!! Thank you for always doing an awesome reaction Austin! BTW... as a foodie, I don't plan my meals; I just randomly find places and try them. I especially do so when I'm on vacation. I'm not much of a planner when it comes to food bc I like to try anything that peaks my interest :)

Mevelap

Thank you so much ! I don’t comment often either, but I wanted to let you know that I appreciate all your content ! This series is not available where I live, so I am very greatful I can watch it with you :)

I've stayed in Mexico for a month, traveling through towns and cities meeting with family members. There's always someone who speaks Spanglish, so it's easy to conversate with people. The food isn't always spicy, you can ask for it to be mild. I can't handle spicy food. I usually plan where I'm going to eat if I had other plans. But if it's a chill day, I'll walk around and see what is there to eat. Thank you for uploading this. I'm excited to watch this season.

DAYDREAM

I've been planning to watch this! Thank you very much! ☺️🫂

kookmineve

On twitter we did know that Taehyung was in Mexico and there were a few blurry photos of him but some people still were not fully sure if it was him, also I think the place where they did it is not in a super touristy or populous place, but also Seojoon and Wooshik are very very popular Korean celebrities too. I think they were in Mexico for 2 weeks, the start of December 2022

Hi Austin! I´m so happy you are watching this, i didnt know how to watch this, since its not available in my country . so Thank you

Lela

I also can't watch this show in my country so I'm glad I can watch it with you 😊💜

Amy Wagers

This show is so cute! Thank you!

Kellzie

Tae was filming this when Jin enlisted and he flew back for the enlistment ceremony. 🥲 I think this will be an interesting show. It is surprising they found someplace that Tae and the actors could move around freely in without being bombarded by people. Even though they worked hard, it must have been nice to just be normal people in a way.

Bea

I too was waiting and waiting for this to drop only to find out that dang apostrophe is what made me have to wait until I got out of work to watch 😠...then of course I had to watch w/ u too. I didn't kno what to expect either but was pleasantly surprised, I was smiling throughout the whole episode.

roguechevelle

love this! You didn't have to do this series on top of everything else you do for us but I'm so glad you are. As you said this was a bonus for us so if your too busy or if other things come up and you need to change things up or are not regular with posting this it's no biggie we understand. I loved In the Soop: Friendcation so I was happy to see Seojoon and Wooshik with Tae in Jinny's Kitchen. Seojoon was in Hwarang with Tae and played the lead in "Itaweon class", I loved the show cried my eyes out lol and loved the whole soundtrack too. Wooshik was in Train to Busan and Parasite, which he was really good in Parasite as the son. Omg! I didn't know the lady in this is actress Jung Yumi she played the pregnant wife in "Train to Busan"! I just looked it up. I loved that movie and she was so good in it. She is cute in this. Lee Seojin the owner is another well known actor tho I've yet to see his films but is well known for other variety shows he's been in. I feel like I really grew to understand Wooga Squad (Tae's friend group) in Friendcation as we hadn't got to see all them together before in this way. I watched Hwarang beforehand to prep though I don't think that's necessary to enjoy the show at all it was just a long time coming for me, I've been army 4 yrs (5 yrs in May/June) and had been putting it off becuz I had been spoiled a scene that I knew would make me cry. Apparently I was building it up in my mind because I just teared up a little (I down right sobbed multiple times through Itaewon Class tho but I still loved it). Park Hyungsik in Wooga Squad was also a prominent character in Hwarang, that man is foine. He was also in Strong Girl Bong-soon which I've heard great things about and do want to see eventually, he also has been doing a lot of on stage Musicals and Theater which I have a lot of respect for actors that do becuz it's not easy. And Peakboy was also in Friendcation (he's a singer and musician) and did Snow Flower with Tae which I love that song. I just thought he was adorable despite him being a tall broad-built guy, he is a sweetheart. Now I kinda wanna rewatch In the Soop: Friendcation the more I think about it lol. I'm excited to watch this show with you. I've always wanted to try Korean hot dogs (or corndogs, I believe they call them hot dogs in korea). We don't have any place that sells them around here, I could try to make them but I'm not much of a cook and I'm having some health issues like alot, think it's my gallbladder so on a strict diet right now. Having a heck of a time dealing with health insurance to even get a doc appointment right now, I don't even want to think about the headache/cost of an ultrasound to confirm let alone expensive surgery. Anyways these reactions have been like a godsend at the moment helping me keep my mind of things. Can't wait to watch the next episode with you.

Hey I have a question if anyone knows the answer. I found out what the first song they played was, but I couldn’t figure out some of the others (obviously I know BTS’s songs though). If anyone knows any of the songs played as BGM, please let me know. They pick good songs that fit the vibe of the scenes and show as a whole.

Having worked for years in restauration in my youth at different posts, I have major PTSD watching that. It demands so much skills to be good like motor coordination, endurance, memory, calmness and mostly SPEED. My poor baby Tae had to received a few IV bags to survive this adventure 🌼

I know I’m late commenting and you’ve been filled in on the other cast members, but I thought I’d add a little more context just in case you’re interested. The first season of the show this is based off of (Youn’s Kitchen) was set in Indonesia and aired in 2017. Of the four cast members Yu-mi was basically a sous chef and Seo-jin basically did the same as what he’s doing now, ran the front and made drinks, he just wasn’t the boss. The second season was set in Spain and is when Seo-Joon joined the cast as a server. Then in 2020 there was a show Summer Vacation that had just Yu-Mi and Woo-shik and they had a couple guests in different episodes (one of which was Seo-joon. They actually called Tae in one episode and had a short cute little convo). Then in 2021 there was Youn’s Stay which is basically the same except it’s more like a bed and breakfast (I think, it’s the only one I haven’t watched clips from). Woo-shik joined the cast and was basically a bellhop which is why they keep saying he’s still an intern since he hasn’t had any restaurant experience lol. Lastly, the producer of the show has another show on YouTube called the game caterers and they collaborated with some run bts episodes a while back so he already knew Tae.

Just to add to this. Game caterers are also releasing episodes with the same cast. There are already 2 episodes out and are funny episodes. I hope you can also react to thoses too Austin.

whirang

My favorite group is bts, and my favorite actors are Park Seo-joon and Choi Woo-sik. I'm so glad they put on a show together. Yoo-mi and seojin(jinny) are good acctor too.

whirang

I recommend the movie "Train to Busan." It's a really fun movie with Choi Woo-sik and Jung Yoo-mi.

Farhana

Woo I am catching up on reactions Austin, yes both Park Seo Joon (main chef) and Woo Shik (arriving late) are 2 of Tae's best friends and are both in the IN the Soop Friendcation. You should definitely react to that!

Jackie

I know this comment is a bit late, but I just wanted to say that calling someone fat is actually meant more as an endearment nickname and not an insult! Lol I love this show so far.

Sandra Hinojosa

I watch the show twice once on Amazon and then I come and watch with you. You would say, Pollo Frito Coreano, for Korean Fried Chicken. I too would watch Hwarang with you. Thank you for all you do!

JB

Thanks for reacting. Also, the Youn of Youn's Kitchen and Youn's Stay is Youn Yuh-jung. She is the first Korean to win an Academy Award - Best Supporting Actress for Minari in 2021.
