I'm glad you're enjoying it. That means you'll really love the remaining episodes.

some says AHL is cringeyyy but i like it! baby bangtan!

They're completely out of their comfort zone living new experiences and it keep getting better in the following episodes. They experience new things in each episode and it's never boring. I love that show for the culture clash.

Alix Drifty

The first two episodes are the worst for cringe, so if you've enjoyed these episodes despite that, you'll enjoy the rest even more. :)

Glad you took some time for yourself. Sonic ice is the best!! Money well spent for that ice maker. I just wanted to comment this real quick before I forgot. LOL

I’m so glad this episode is over. While they learned many things, the disrespect Dante showed Yoongi and Jin was not acceptable. Hitting Jin with the stuffed animal is extreme disrespect in Korea. It wasn’t that he hit him hard with it, but the act itself was a sign of disrespect and that is a HUGE thing in Korea. I would think also in the world of Hip Hop which they were there to be mentored about. It amazes me that people just wash over it like it was no big thing. The looks on Jin & Yoongi’s face ripped my heart apart. Dante was there to guide and mentor them, but instead he was useless and made our sweet guys feel so bad. They were also working on and recording the Dark & Wild album during this same time so they were exhausted as well. Tony was the best by far. Nate was pretty good, but I think he let Namjoon & Tae down by not guiding them away from imitating artists during the cooking show. To NJ & Tae, imitation was probably the biggest form of appreciation they knew to show. They did not mean it in any disrespectful manner. But they did learn a lot from it. Personally, I don’t think cooking food and serving it has anything to do with music. They boys meals looked way better than Coolio’s meal. I don’t know what it tasted like, but I know that Kroean Fried Chicken was amazing. Jin & Yoongi can cook. I’m looking forward to some of the instructors to come. They are much nicer and helpful. The boys learned a lot from them. That shows that you don’t have to be taught by tough love to learn something. In fact, they learned more from all the instructors to come who were kind to them.

Jimin in this episode🥲🥲 he’s so tiny but the bt21 everyone has one but rm has 2 also tony actually gave us the nickname chim chim and we still use it to this day even the members call him that and that’s also what chummy is named after😭😭

Jackie

I absolutely love this series but since Taehyung is my husband I always feel a little hurt from Coolio's comments

JoY

The way jin kept telling yoongi to hold it in after that thing with dante and they will film later. You can tell yoongi was not happy. I'm sure he was mad. Yeah, ahl, of course, is a bit cringe at times but it definitely helped them learn so much. I think it gets better after the 4th episode and so on for me if I remember right . Like everyone else said CHIM CHIM was a nickname tony called jimin . It just stuck around that jimin/ army used for him . Now jimin named his bt21 character chimmy .

14:12 jungkooks singing like that and I would have chosen them too lol imagine his raw live voice like that… omfg I’d die, jhope with his kinda beat boxing and jimin with his vibing kinda dancing kinda adlibbing… jungkooks break dancing.. they were def hard to beat lol I mean this is 3J we are talking about!!! The main vocal, lead vocal, rapper , dance line and the dance leader… I wasn’t surprised they won this one. Honestly you have to respect them all bc there is no way in hell I would want to do that lol like rm said one time it’s more scary to perform in small groups in front of a few people while the rest of your friends and family watch , than it is for him to perform in front of hundreds of thousands of ppl on stage lol other than rm they don’t speak English… but they were good sports. It’s kinda gross how the show put all those stats on the screen to create drama about where they are and stuff. The one that said “Korean owner of convenience store robbed and shot” or something using that to imply something about them and the show .. like that kinda sensationalism ain’t it. I loved this show.. they’re so cute and funny and so natural… blows my mind how similar most of the bonds are lol like they’ve grown and evolved but they’re still the same boys we see here.. even though they’re now grown ass men .. jinnie proudly serving his country… even if I still think they more than deserve to be exempt bc of their humanitarianism and contribution to their country and culture.. but I’m pretty sure they needed to win the Grammy to fit the exemptions based on the current exemptions already in place. That’s my theory but this theory was only strengthened when I found out the existing exemptions in athletes, musicians and dancers had to win competitions like the Olympics.. or titles that show they’ve dominated on a world scale and have advanced the culture globally… for music unfortunately that is how the Grammys used to be seen. Now Jin would have enlisted last year … but they got 1 nomination again… and the DAY AFTER the nominations… extension papers were filed for him to push his enlistment back again. Just my theory and now I’m rambling so far off topic wow. Yeah, thx for reacting and being such a wonderful human

I think coolio likes jungkook lol the way he went out of his way to choose a hat and tshirt for jungkook was like the only act feeling kind of soft that we saw from him. I mean look at jk and tae… the two youngest and tae is loud, rambunctious, confident, very comfortable with everyone and consistently inserting his opinions and views but jk is more calm, quiet and adds input but basically will do anything he is told to. He looks at the world with those curious big doe eyes of his and it’s impossible not to be soft towards him… jimin has this type of precious innocence that you want to protect… he can be really chaotic… but he’s just this tiny, ripped, cute and kind little love bug who wants to hug everyone, then hobi who just has that special bright energy that he just Carries into any room he walks in to. He’s very sure when he has an idea but listens to even his baby bros and will do anything they want to do… he’s definitely more than a supporter… but he also promotes them.. especially the ones who tend not to not always bring the amazing things they do or have achieved to light… he tends to do that for them.. so they will be recognized kinda thing… and 3J kinda has an advantage bc they’re already doing so much together and working together bc they always have extra filming, extra practice and so much outside of group stuff that they spend extra time working on, preparing and shooting…. So they’ve got a good dynamic of knowing how to work together in a way that makes them all shine.. def helped them win both these challenges I think. How can someone not be soft for 3J .

I’ve never heard any of the members call him chim chin outside of this show… can you think of a specific moment? I’d love to see it

Dante is on the wrong 100% .. but the way Jin shushed 🤫 Dante right before that surprised me bc it’s definitely something they’d consider disrespectful in their culture.. especially bc Dante is older. I don’t blame Jin… somebody needed to shut that guy up. Nate was great… you have to realize that hearing that they were going to act and perform as these legendary or trending singers/rappers doesn’t sound bad at all.. it’s something commonly done… but how they chose to do it and to bring those artists to life was not his responsibility… the mission was for the members and Nate and tony are kinda there to help them get around and know where to go to shop and stuff… they’re not supposed to be making the plan for them. I wouldn’t be surprised if part of that was slightly scripted mainly bc rm and tae both saw coolio look away or irritated but just kept going and being extremely extra… which doesn’t remotely fit with namjoon and his behavior. If it was just tae… maybe bc he’s young and chaotic.. but joon? Just didn’t feel realistic for him. Also nobody said anything negative about what they did or that part of their performance… so there’s not really any need to defend it lol they didn’t get called out or lose bc of that. Cooking food and performing are something coolio did for his own community even when he became more known… the intention is community.. which K-pop heavily caters to foodies and is extremely popular and common for the two to go hand and hand. It’s not the act of cooking he’s talking about… it’s about the preparation and presentation… which is exactly like performing. Coolio said the Korean fried chicken was good lol but that sandwich did not look better than coolios food lol somehow the sandwich looked disgusting … was messy and that’s why they lost . They didn’t explain to them really that the actual food was going to be what was mainly being focused on… which sucks. All in all it was a great experience and they never seem to be not enjoying it really… just made them even stronger as a group and further strengthened their family bond . I thought using Korean fried chicken nd waffles for a common dish of fried chicken and waffles was absolutely genius.. I bet it was good .. waffles just didn’t look cooked all the way . They use so many things they learned here , even to this day… so all in all it’s nice to just see them back then

I like this show but I get really uncomfortable with the way they treated Tae. 😅

I remember way more details of the scene with 3J and Tony in the Hanbok store. Was that an extra clip? I could've sworn it was in the episode because I distinctly remember Jimin saying he looks like a scary wife lol edit: lmao you literally watched the extra clips right after I wrote this ahahah guess I just forgot they weren't in the actual episode

watching baby JK and than seeing his CK ad earlier today. i just think Baby JK doesn't even know what life has in store for him. It is always fun to go back and watch them from early years and just think how far they have come. I love all of them and I am so proud of where they are now and the many things they have learn along the way. Also, Dante was so rude to Jin, and you can tell that Yoongi was having a hard time with it too. He really wanted to say something. Anyway, it only gets better.
