Another great episode.
But SF9 KILLED IT.  Fav performance for me.

Ugh, I get so angry every time I hear that critic's feedback to The Boyz...How dare they speak on behalf of the fans? I really loved their performance and it still wow'd me compared to the Road to Kingdom performances too. That feedback never made sense to me and just seemed like an unnecessary jab. (And I say this based on seeing so many people feel the same way. I haven't seen one person agree with that critic so far so it just got under my skin lol)

Next episode is my fav! And also see you tomorrow for Jinny’s kitchen!

Finally - SF9 was absolutely great!!!! iKON - yesssss, that´s the iKON I know! Very well done. That Moulin Rouge - "O sole mio" concept from the Boys was was great either, I really don`t want to know, who will be 5th and 6th, they were all really good so far and I don`t think the other performances will be worser.... Oh my.....

Just a heads up on The Boyz's performance this episode - they cut out some parts of the performance in the episode. There's full versions on youtube if you want to see what they cut out! I honestly had a hard time with the story line on that one too. From my understanding the Game of Thrones concept goes through all their performance on Kingdom and I never watched that. I think The Red Wedding is part of Game of Thrones?

Final post from me on questions/future questions! Others please add/correct me if I say anything wrong or miss anything. BtoB was missing Changsub in that one scene when you commented one was missing. I recall he was doing I think a musical or something at the time and he was sick during this episode so he's missing a lot in interviews. Bobby will be missing in the next episode for reactions to other groups because I believe he was injured (I think it was a shoulder/arm injury?). Also in ATEEZ's performance San twists/sprains his ankle pretty early in the performance so he disappears I think in the post-interview. You'll also see how some of these circumstances effect a future fun episode (:

I could cry!!!! I’m so happy you got to see this… I was so impressed with sf9 and their performance blew me away…. I fell in love with this group ever since kingdom lol I haven’t finished it but what I’ve seen I have absolutely adored them… and thought all their hard work really showed and the heart of how hard they worked.

Yeh it is but the red wedding def doesn’t really fit in this sense for their performance storyline. I’m honestly curious as a seen game of thrones entirely probably three times and it’s spin off … I don’t know if the ppl choosing to use game of thrones for them have even seen the whole series lol bc it’s hard to relate most of what they’re doing to game of thrones at all… so it’s a bit confusing

I’m an unpopular opinion here and I did like the boyz performance last week but something about all the POV parts , to me almost took away from what they were doing as a group… like I enjoyed it… but it felt very kinda scrambled bc with using so much pov it has to be perfect lining up with the cameras , the backgrounds, the hands , the member interacting with the hands and any other member or background dancer behind them visible on camera… and moving around a lot doing this just took away from it for me. Like I like btobs version of pov better bc it was mixed with more full shots until we get the whole group together. I loved the part when the boys all came together at the end of their song as well…. But it sounds like the critic was saying that bc they felt so much pressure to do better than road to kingdom… they may have tried to do too much that was “different” in order to stand out from their old performances… but sometimes doing too much ends up looking more messy than keeping it simple.

If I didn't mishear, you said the leader of The Boyz was Juhaknyeon after you looked it up. I'm not sure where you got that, but the leader is actually Sangyeon.

Also, you don't have to commit or make a promise to dive into ATEEZ and whatnot. I really just care about whether or not you give them a chance even if you don't like some of their songs.

SF9 was by far my favourite performance for this episode, they did a great job and their set and special effects were used so well.

Please don't feel like you have to react to a group just because you say you will. If you do decide to do an Ateez one though, I highly recommend Wave since it is very, very different from anything they usually do. It's my favorite of theirs actually. My favorite performance overall for this round was BtoB's so I can't wait 'til you see that one! iKON's was my 2nd, I was really iKON biased throughout the first part of this show in terms of music. I think The Boyz and Ateez were last for me for this one.

That's hilarious lol maybe they're like "lets just throw a popular title in to see if it sparks more interest" lol :p

NewKidsLoveAndFall

iKON just released their pre-released Sub-Title Track called Tantara (a derogatory word for entertainers in Korea before) but Tantara in English means horns or trumpets (the lively sound of it). Their Main Title Track and Album will be released on May 4. That is the kind of iKON that you are looking for. You should check that out. Regarding Killing Verse, you are correct, the artists there are mostly if not all rappers. Idols are mostly in Killing Voice, but iKON was categorized as a hip-hop group rather than idols.

Don't feel pressured to get into Ateez. When you do you do. Sometimes when we get into groups the timing is right even if its way later. I watched all of RTK and Kingdom but didn't actually fall down the Boyz rabbit hole till 2022. I think my favorites this round are SF9 and BTOB. SF9 used their acting chops and their version I became so addicted to sometimes when i go to listen to the original now my brain still hears Rowoon's intro.

I actually agreed with the "experts" there. I'm not a fan of The Boyz per se (more of a casual listener) but I really liked their performances in Road to Kingdom, and No Air felt like a downgrade compared to RtK because there was too much going on. The individual ideas were nice, but there were too much crammed in the same performance, making it feel disjointed.

Sannie

Wait he said that he didn't like Guerilla? I'm confused, in his YT reaction he said he liked it, said he liked the harder sound of it.

kamila

that was good, can't wait to see the next episode with you!
