This episode was a rollercoaster.
I loved the busking performances but hated the feedback/elimination...

The one I kept pointing out is named Lee Midam. It looks like he hasn't debuted yet.

My mistake I remember u say u liked woongs voice last episode more than the main vocal and asked who he was so when u said “this guy i dont think he debuted” i assumed u meant him my bad 💕

steyn broere

Also YoungK of day6 is one of my fav idols he is indeed so fine. But also wrote almost every song of day6 ever. And even for other artists and his solo stuff is great. He’s has insane range in singing and skills

OtterOttern

YoungK (the guy from Day6 you liked) recently returned from military service this year and just released a new album this week! I think you'd like his music a lot actually, maybe you should check out his new MV sometime!

Yes your right I.N is introverted but not that much I would say comparing to Han but the introvert lines are Han, hyunjin, leeknow and I.N and the rest are extroverted and ur right they have many genre of music you'll see it once u get into it. Also I.N’s voice has definitely really improved u can see that in his cover “memory of your scent” and in his lee mujin ep ( I definitely recommend I.N, seungmin and han lee mujin service) “This is def a thing that I would watch one time” meanwhile here I am watching it all over again with u and crying even tho I know they are in the group now😭 and they have seen this leeknows and Felix elimination clip and Felix was soo embarrassed 😭 One time in interview where both JYP and Straykids was together, an interviewer asked straykids this question “Out of everything that JYP has said to you, was there anything that left a strong impression on you” And leeknow said “YES” and then he said “during the survival show LEEKNOW COME FORWARD”😭😭 the look on JYPS face was priceless and the members didn't know what to do lol everyone was laughing it was savage and funny and he said “Yeah that was the most impactful, and I still remember it 😊” But yeah they still talk about that show here and there it's a huge part of who they are

When jyp mentioned woojin's dancing standing out he meant that it stood out in a bad way. Anyways i really hate the feedback he gave them and i feel like a lot of it was just to create drama for the show. 😵‍💫 It felt really exploitative towards the members for me? eliminating members even though he probably knew from the start he was going to debut all 9 of them.

han is very nurturing I know what you mean! he's very silly and loud so its easy to not notice but he's always the first to give someone a compliment or a quick high five or hug for support he's very sweet! i think what makes this elimination so hard to watch is that felix is so sweet and wears his heart on his sleeve so its much more devastating because you can see how he's feeling vs lee know who kept smiling through it all, plus the member reaction is so heartbreaking especially since Felix had been a trainee for a long time so they must've all been really close + chan and his protectiveness over felix is so strong even now :( i imagine watching this in real time would've been so interesting, wouldn't have known it then but now its hard to imagine stray kids without felix since he's such an integral part of their sound!

I'll have to come back and finish watching later but a couple of things before I forget. In terms of part distribution, in debut time Felix, Lee Know, I.N, and Hyunjin probably had a few less lines as they were still developing their skills, but since then the parts are very fair. It differs between tracks with some of the guys getting more parts on certain tracks depending on what the track needs, but if you look at an album overall, the parts are incredibly even. They do have variety so if you don't particularly like a title track there's always different styles on the b sides. You mentioned Seungmin being a radio host - he actually was one along with Lee Know! They were on YoungK's radio show weekly for about a year I think.

I legit can’t watch this episode 😅. I’ll be back for the happy ending 😂

God...I gave in and am listening while working. Felix's face gets me before the elimination even happens. He looks so innocent its gut wrenching knowing what will happen. I dont blame Changbin for looking like he wants to beat JYP's ass.

K E

Ok I'm back, I think you need some kind of palate cleanser after experiencing this trauma lol, like something to show how happy, lively and silly the guys are when they're not under extreme pressure and stress! Like Changbin and Lee Know are the two loudest people in the group (plus Han) and you would never know that from watching this show haha. One thing you might be interested in watching at some point is Two Kids Room - it's a series where two of the guys just have a conversation and it's about each duo's relationship. The more recent episodes from the last year are especially interesting as they have two of guys having their conversation, and then the other guys in a separate room will talk about the relationship between those two and you get so many interesting insights about each pair.

HA! You said it, 'honestly, it would be hard for me to watch a reaction to this'. Exactly why this is in the background while I listen lol

Kame

I enjoyed this episode very much - until the elimination. I even teared up while watching Felix crying and saying sorry to the members. the busking was great, they did very well for a first performance in front of an audience. JYP sucks with only mentioning the mistakes and the negative things or MNET sucks for editing it that way.

Bethany

It doesn’t seem like anyone has answered your question about this yet, but currently there is no full reaction to the survival show or its eliminations to date. To be honest, the members hardly ever acknowledge the survival show to begin with, and if they do, the refer to it at “the hardest time of their lives” which is pretty accurate. There IS however a japanese television program they were on back in 2021 that interviewed them and played clips from both eliminations that the members were NOT aware they would be seeing, and their reactions were shown to bits and pieces. I’ll find the link!

It's so special to me that circumstances made this be your first proper introduction to hyune and that he caught your eye because of his dancing and his personality! Most people get to know skz through recent content and mainly notice him because of his stage presence and visuals that got more polished over time... knowing how much he struggles with the thought that he made it based on looks alone it makes me happy to know you noticed his talent so early on! He'd be so happy fr

mirela23b

gonna leave one long comment instead of spamming. you calling Seungmin Hyunjin's husband made me cackle at 3 am askdehedbfe their friendship is really special and Hyunjin is whipped for Seungmin, maybe you can do some compilations with them in the future to see more of that welp I thought I was gonna be ok at *that* part, yet here I am sobbing uncontrollably. Chan's "I'm not gonna leave you behind" still hits just as hard, that shit will forever haunt me I strongly agree on those moments being too private to just be ...filmed. feels wrong and it makes me sick to my stomach thank you for cracking me up with that "with the cracked iphone, learning Korean comment". I really needed that after bawling my eyes out lmaoooo my nose is red

Jordan S

Referring to JYP only saying negative comments I do think that he does say positive ones as well because of random behind clips we get shown later, but mnet always edits them out

IDA

Hellevator MV was released before the show started airing. So they had lot of people interested in them already. They also did lot of vlives during the Survival show and after the survival show they also released a lot of content (predebut album etc.) before they actual debut in march 2018 So some of the stays are pre-debut stays. My sibling discovered them through the survival show and I remember them watching the final episode and being super nervous. I myself listened skz casually and saw them live music bank berlin 2018 when I went to see EXO, but I actually became baby stay only this year after I saw them live again in Paris Music Bank 2023

IDA

Im back in the comments just laughing you interpreting the "your dancing is more noticeable" that he is too good. I think he meant that he is so bad it is noticeable :DDDD

oddinry

i agree it feels a bit gross that the elimination scenes were filmed. that's my biggest problem with this show, it just seems exploitative to film such personal and painful moments for entertainment :/ makes me uncomfortable because i feel like i'm not supposed to be seeing that. but at the same time i do appreciate knowing what they went through

Queen SuA's InSomnia

This episode just hurts to watch again, even in a reaction video. I found myself looking more at you than at the episode this time. And with Lee Know's elimination. But for some reason, Felix's elimination hit so much harder. I think, for me, it's because it seemed to break Chan more.
