I'm really enjoying rewatching this with you! At the core, the member's personalities and dynamics are still similar to here but it's also cool to see how much they've grown as individuals and as a group. I think for most people, Taehyun is the hardest member to understand at the beginning (and a lot of people still misunderstand him even now) - I think it's because the two sides to him really contrast each other: the mature sharp side vs the innocent sweetheart side (the latter you'll get to see a lot more of as you continue getting to know TXT). What you said about Yeonjun being a really important member of the group reminded me of when someone once compared TXT to a house to show why they fit so perfectly as a team: - Yeonjun is the foundation of the house: he's the eldest, has been a trainee the longest, and has watched and supported the others grow and become themselves. - Taehyun is the framework of the house: he is meticulous, steadfast and ready to be leant on when needed. - Soobin is the roof: he protects the members and is the connecting and reliable force between them. - Beomgyu is the hearth: he is loving and attentive and keeps the members warm and safe. - Kai is the life that turns a house into a home: bright, sunny and dynamic.

Austin, I don't know if you understand the intense pressure the members were under at this time. Their debut was never guaranteed, it almost did not go through, and when it did go through, the media scrutiny (at home and abroad) and having to prove they could make it in the industry as their own group, not just as the "juniors" but as Tomorrow X Together, their own group. Trust me, they internalized it beyond the KPOP industry norms. After this showcase, they came home and the group went through a sh*tstorm with the naming of their fandom, putting back the timing of their comeback, illness (hospitalization) and performing with only 4 members. They came through it and won crazy rookie awards but COVID hit the next year and thank god for this showcase because they didn't see their fans or perform in front of an audience for several years!! But you'll have known that Soobin was Music Bank President (MC) with Oh My Girl's Arin (together, they were known as Akong) and he overcame his shyness. He's become a popular idol among the industry, not just with MOAs. BTW Yeonjun grew up in San Jose for a few years; he speaks English with an American accent but is not proficient with comprehension. Kai was born in Hawaii but grew up in China/Korea; he jokes that his mom told him that if he is going to look like he does (mixed race), he should speak English better.
