Do you want me to keep doing this? (Patreon)

Content

Do you want me to keep doing this?
Then please don't share my work elsewhere.

It is FATAL that works that have just been released are illegally shared. Along with the revenue problem, I feel VERY BAD and UNHAPPY about this.

Next month's reward will be distributed via e-mail, not by Patreon's message. Rewards sent via e-mail can be personalizable and identifiable.

I am sorry for the inconvenience to many patrons.

Sorry to hear that. You really deserve all money, because your work is fantastic!!! Email is fine, no problem ;-)

Bryant Kung

Agree. Please don't share Jared999d's work without permission if you want to keep enjoying his amazing artwork.

masterhunter247

You always have my unwavering support. Thank you.

Wolfgang

Someone is still stealing your stuff? You've got my support.

Wolfgang

Send everything to me by Email.

Legal means can be used when necessary

t2dk05949

If the other side makes a profit

Silentmode

Problem is that many think doing renders is not a lot of work. Anyone who has ever tried will understand how much time and work each single image takes! Don't share if the artist disaapproves! This makes me angry. Jared is by far the best 3dx guy out there - he should be able to make a living from his art. Why is it so hard to show some respect??

fans1775

Thank you always for the good work I hope that will be solved

actually NO.. if the server of the pirate is hosted on a country which do not acknowledge DMCA claims, then there is no legal remedy.. i know, coz i have already spoke with such pirate websites.. another problem lately are the providers of proxy server services which makes the pirates harder to track.. the only solution is for their physical servers to become defective...

GCX

i know how it feels... :(

The vast majority of pirated servers are located in the United States. The trouble is that the laws of different states in the United States may not be uniform. If you have determined the location of the pirated server, you can ask your local lawyer how to solve the problem legally. Especially the laws of the state.

Thank you for your information. Maybe if there was a good way, another artist would have solved it. The site itself cannot be shut down, but I think I can find who uploaded it among my patrons.

Thank you for your understanding. I think you have a similar experience. This seems to be a matter of feeling rather than of profit.

jared999d
>>30436612

Thank you very much. My average working time is 12 hours. I spend a lot of time on this. I usually work about 24 hours the day before I deliver the reward. I hope other people to know that what I am distributing to my patrons is a time-consuming work.

jared999d
>>30436527

I think most of the people do piracy have no malice. Most of them listen to others' favors rather than financial gains or others. They are also people who like my work. I'll ask them what makes them hesitate to buy my work or join my patron in my work, patreon system, or A3D store. However, some seem to upload directly for site operations, advertising, or file-sharing services. I will find out if this person is among my patrons.

Thank you for your suggestion. I considered other platforms such as pixiv fanbox, gumroad and subscribstar. But for my keep enough working time, It is hard to increase other channels. I am not considering other platforms at this time. Miro (affect3d) is the person who helped me get into 3DX. And when it comes to animation, I get a lot of support from the A3D team. No other platform is currently considered for the sale of previous works. I want to have a good relationship with A3D.

Void Abyss

would be great via e-mail, masterpieses deserve respect

jared999d
>>30441301

Thank you very much for your understanding. In the early of my patreon, I distributed patron rewards by e-mail, but many patrons did not receive the e-mail immediately, or there were many problems. Currently, I'm looking for a way other than e-mail. It will not inconvenience you.

Whitesnake

Yeah send next rewards via email, and do everything that's necessary to protect your beautiful work, and our support. It's sad to think that what's been shared witout your permission was also done thanks to our money, so yeah, I feel kinda robbed from those who did it.

Kraudo

I agree with this, I have all your Elf Slave works, and the last long animation that you did , and all the work you do is awesome. But I for example always sub to your patreon 1 month and then at the same moment I quit the autopayment (I dont like that) and I dont know if I show as a patreon or not. This will generate trouble?. Also cant wait to you next big animation film, how much time its gonna take to finish it?

AWatts

Sorry to hear people are stealing your work. Feel free to ignore this but in my mind what your asking for is probably impossible. There will always be a bad apple in a large group of people and simply asking a person to stop doing bad things usually doesn't motivate them to stop the behavior. I love your work and out of your wishes to not share I never would but other people it seems just don't care. Sorry again

jared999d
>>30445502

Thank you for your realistic advice. I do not think that my work can be fully protected. So far, no big company has done it. I'm just a small individual. The problem is that piracy is too quickly. The most recent piracy is the Patron version. I feel bad about that. I do not want him or her to support me. So I will find him or her.

jared999d
>>30444767

Hi, Kraudo. No worries about that. Besides you, there are other Patrons too. And that's not a big deal. If you cancel your autopayment, you will still be patron until the next payment date(maybe 1st or 2nd day each month). Anyway, thank you for loving my work.

jared999d
>>30444714

Hi, Whitesnake. Thank you for your understanding. I found a way to solve this with patreon messages. Maybe, an email will make you very uncomfortable. In the past, when my patrons were about 150, many patrons didn't receive my email. The problem will be much greater now. Next month's rewards will also be delivered in the patreon message. You will be no different than before.

Kraudo
>>30444767

Thank for the reply , I will support whatever I can here in patreon or in affect3d, and I dont know if there is any form of protect your work besides the good faith of your suscribers, In DLSITE they used some ID check to some works that you have to put your personal account, but i dont know with your work. Perhaps affect3d can advice you in some way?. well Jared stay strong and Merry xmas !

jared999d
>>30444767

Thank you for your kind words. What I distribute to you is just an image. It's probably hard to say how to do it. As AWatts mentioned below, I know I can't wholly protect my work. I just want my Patron not to. I am deeply grateful to you, my patrons. So I feel very bad that the Patron version has been piracy. But this won't make you feel uncomfortable. It's a very bad direction.

Kraudo
>>30444767

Did you consider to change the base of your work? I mean, instead of share us images make something like a visual novel with login, Like , when you run the .exe you put for example your affect3d account and can play and watch the images, the problem is that I dont know how to make that on patreon and also some douchebag can buy your product and screenshot that... people sometimes sucks a lot.... Sorry, i dont want to bother you but Im scared if you stop doing those CGs of Karen because you get dishearted with this situation.

Roman

Jason K

I totally understand how you feel. Unfortunately, it is the way the internet works. Your hard work WILL be illegally shared on the internet. I, myself as a creator, have come to realize this.

VitAnyaNaked

Oh, we are very sorry about this, yes, it is very sad. I hope everything will be restored in your life and incomes in the first place

AWatts
>>30445502

I wish you luck. You'll either have to count on the resources of others or create the resources yourself to track down your culprit. I imagine that the people who host your pirated content have a financial stake too continue to do so and they will likely be unhelpful. If you change the means of distribution to track individual users that would likely become expensive. example would be a private website you host that imbues your content with meta-data specific to each Patreon user. That sounds impractical and more expensive than its worth but I guess it all boils down too how much you personally feel its worth to track this SOB down. Good luck my friend

GCX
>>30437318

yeah, same problem here.. both for finance and motivation.. actually, you're still somehow lucky, coz you have hundreds of patrons.. well, good luck to all of us...

Hold
>>30457356

jared999d
>>30444767

Thank you for your suggestion. I once thought about what you said. However, I think image sets are the best for the content I create now. If I make a visual novel or game, it will be suitable for these formats. I dislike piracy, but I don't want to bother patreon or anyone who buys my product because of that. And many people are still supporting me. More people became my patrons than last year. Don't worry about that.

Roman
>>30457356

jared999d
>>30445502

Thank you for your advice. It is very practical But I will not change the way of the distribution. And I don't have any experience and knowledge about web hosting. And very little knowledge of metadata. There is only one way for me. It seems difficult to say it here.

jared999d
>>30457356

Thank you very much for your sincere advice. I don't know Russian, so I understood your words using Google Translator. Roman's comments make sense and are realistic. And Hold's comment is a good explanation of why I wrote this. Anyway, thank you very much for your attention.

jared999d
>>30458110

Thank you for understanding my feeling. All I can do is make my work more valuable and make more people like it.

Htet Bryan

nice your creation..

Isen Herthan

This, probably, is not the most popular opinion, and I'm sorry if it hurts anyone's feelings, but aside from theft and all that, piracy is a free advertisement. Without piracy 90% of your current patrons wouldn't even know you exist. And honestly, I don't think that distributing stuff through the e-mail is gonna change anything. Because I'm pretty sure, that the absolute majority of your patrons are paying you not because they can't find your work for free on the net, but because they honestly think you deserve to get paid. And they won't stop paying you if your work is leaked. That's pretty much like AD-blocker or Wiki donations. However, I completely agree that leaking stuff 1 day after release is just fucking scumbaggery and in the end benefits no one. Stay civil, people!

jared999d
>>31038693

Hi, Isen Herthan. Thank you for your feedback. What you point out is an important part. I know where my work is first leaked out and shared. And I agree with only a certain part in that the primacy is free-adverting. Because there are(or were) many other sites (pixiv, slushe, old tumblr, hentai-foundry or etc) But the reasons I wrote this post are that as you mentioned, my latest work was leaked too quickly and that it was a patron version, not an A3D version. And the other thing is not about impossibility and possibility, but about my attitude and feeling. I don't think it is right not to say anything about piracy. And most of all, Piracy herself makes me feel very bad. This is a bigger problem than revenue. When I found that my latest work had been leaked in less than 24 hours, I first thought I'd quit this. Finally, it was canceled to distribute the reward by email, as I said in the other person’s comments. It will be shared with you in a Patron message as before.
