Happy Monday!

I went back real quick to the real estate scene and spent an evening tweaking it. When I mentioned negotiations, I gave it some thought and what that might mean in terms of navigating it. It doesn't just affect the realtor, but also a few other characters (not in a significant way). I also didn't want the negotiation to feel bland or underwhelming, but I also didn't want to make it too complicated. I wanted to avoid heavy coding, where you're doing something like... how's 5mil sound? Nah, best I can do is 7. Well, I've got a buddy who knows real estate lemme give them a call. The negotiation is four rounds of choices you'll choose to convince her to give you the best price possible. Or she stays firm on the listing price. There's some Python magic happening in the code and pretty proud of the adjustments. It's simple, there's a few combinations in lowering the price. Meaning it's not limited to you bombing it if you didn't say everything exactly right. And I think it's helped me nail down that training scene with CPPD. Again, this is much thanks to you guys and your input as I share things like this in the devlogs. It's nice to engage and have a discussion about things, so I can take them into consideration when working on something like this. The negotiation isn't a mini-game, just a fun little interaction between you and the realtor. And because there's many ways she can accept whatever offer you give, I decided not to put a rollback on the choices. So you can scroll between the choices until you feel satisfied with the outcome.

In a choice based game, it can sometimes be challenging to come up with options that feel have some sort of purpose. Aside from the usual suspects, especially in the AVN world. So when it comes to certain interactions, I try to rely on variables more than choices if that tends to work better for the situation. For example, if you're deep into Zelda's path and you specifically chose to give her a call out of other options. Then, I tend to avoid obvious choices during the conversation. Anyways, I don't want to take time on a deep dive right now. But again, thanks for the feedback. As always, I take in the feedback, both positive and negative, to help shape a better experience. So, keep the discussions going!

Diving back into development and kit-bashing a scene. Have yourselves a great week and be safe out there!

im curious to see what difference us negotiating the price will have in the game. there doesnt seem to ( at least so far) been any real detriment to watching our spending past the first episode when it came to tipping june, paying for the pizza, and tipping the waitress.

Shallow dives are fun, too! Loving the details and obvious thought going into this project, @Digi. It's really nice to have people to bounce ideas off. So many times I have gained valuable insight from casual conversations I never would've had if I got my introvert wishes. Glad this community can be positive. Looking forward to the next updates, so keep 'em coming!

Thanks for the DevLog.👍❤️😊

Yep, its just these little flourishes, like the 'negotiations' that makes this a Top Shelf avn, it all costs more work, but its much appreciated, keep it up!

a chance for a blowjob at the halloween party?

I hope you do in fact do a deep-dive at some point about purposeful choices and choices versus variables, that sounds like a very interesting peek into the more abstract stuff behind the scenes!
