Hey everyone!

Was drilling away on the last few poses before wrapping up the final scene. Fucking DAZ being the crap software it is decided to hang up when I was trying to do some cloth physics.

Anyways, felt it was probably a good spot to take a short break and write up this week's devlog.

Wrapping up the final scene right now. After that, I'll be working on fixing a scene. Then I'll be reviewing my laundry list of visual errors I need to correct. These are things I found when color correcting the renders. Things like there's a plant that's floating in the background, lighting for a specific shot was off. Sometimes you're just working and you either get interrupted or have to do something and your whole flow gets thrown off and these little mistakes happen. But not a big deal to fix. After that, I'll be processing the remaining renders I have left to do (processing just means denoise and color correct them.). There's about a 1000ish renders left to process. Which sounds like a lot, but it's just a lot of CTRL+C and CTRL+V. Good finger workout.

I don't have the full numbers but we're looking at a little over 4000 renders for the update. 32K words of dialogue. About 3.2k lines of dialogue (i dunno, someone asked about lines of dialogue before lol). By next week, I should be combing through everything and have this update ready for BETA testing next weekend.

Alright, I'm no longer annoyed with DAZ anymore. Time to get back to work.

Not many AVN's that capture my attention and interest.. PLEASE show some actual progress, a year without a chapter release seems to me like you just want the money to keep coming in while you relax and enjoy life, instead of working on the story we're all so very invested in! We all have jobs, so do you! Work on your job! You want this to be your job? Keep working on it and make progress, so we can continue to support you in your job. If I stopped doing my job and made no progress in a full YEAR, i wouldn't still have my job. Just sayin...

Maybe not, but I've been following this game for a few years now, and I've seen CH7 updates for more than 1 full year, and I'm a bit disappointed. Hard to blame me for that. Been loyal and waiting.....waiting.....waiting.... I do support, but waiting a year for the next chapter is a bit more than I'd expect. I don't know what goes into developing a game like this, and I DO LOVE the game and the story! I've said that. But a full year of Dev updates for CH7...with no results, is a bit much. Just my uneducated opinon.

Thanks for the update, I don't use a computer to work just entertainment It's frustrating enough when it crashes. I'd imagine slaving away at making blackened chicken and it suddenly grays out and deleted it self would make me want to take a break

I know a few AVN creators are making the slow move to Blender from DAZ3D, but I know DAZ just makes this kind of work so much easier when compared to the seemingly daunting task of learning how to do the same in Blender. I've seen Ocean using what I think is a physics plugin (or engine?) that makes clothing behave more normally, and I really like the end results. I know some Blender users that swear by it being a much better platform once you learn it, but that's the rub. Anywho, thanks for this update. Every week is a little closer, and we're (with a few noisy exceptions) all behind you and know there's a LOT of work to do with the creation and execution of an AVN with so many discreet paths.
