Hey everyone. Just wanted to pop in real quick and say there seems to be an issue only affecting Mac users. I’m having to wait until Sunday to look into the issue, when one of my testers tests with their Mac book becomes available. I will upload a new build for Mac users as soon as I can resolve the issue.

(Update 2)

Pinned post updated with the revised build for Mac platforms affected.

(Update)

Issue seems to be with Macs running the M1 and intel chips. If you have an M2 chip, game has reported to run fine.

What’s the error I haven’t had errors so far

A R

Mentioned this on discord but putting this here so others can see it - If you are getting an error because of the following exception: ``` No such file or directory: '/private/var/folders/.../Contents/Resources/autorun/game/music/covers ``` I was able to launch the game using the renpy sdk (you can download it at renpy.org). To launch it put the game into the renpy sdk folder and launch renpy -> select artemis -> launch project. After launching it just once with the renpy sdk I was able to launch the game normally even without using the sdk.

For some odd reasons, the Mac build claims a missing file while the Windows version didn’t. A R’s post below is reported to be the fix. And I’ll be sure to package it up for redistribution.

This affects intel and apple silicone Macs?

digi.B

From my understanding it seems like both since it claims that it’s missing a file. But YngX posted that he hasn’t encountered the error. So I can’t say for sure. I will check on the discord and see what responses I get there (generally quicker responses there)

I have an apple silicone Mac, I am downloading the posted build and will report back.

Awesome thanks for the report. Glad to hear not everyone is affected. Will try to get something out for those who are.

M1 chip Macbook air and getting the same error

A R

I encountered the problem and I am running a macbook air with an M1 chip - OS is Monterey 12.0.1. So its probably something else not specific to Macbooks running intel chips.
