I’ll try to explain the family tree. 💀 So there’s Garland and his son Malcolm( the grandpa who was dying). Malcolm gets married to Olivia( the evil grandma) and they have 2 sons but Malcolm really wants a daughter( you know why 😒). Garland ends up marrying a really young girl named Alicia and they have a son named Christopher (the dad who died in the beginning). So that makes Christopher and Malcolm half siblings. Then Garland dies trying to protect Alicia from Malcolm attacking her. Eventually Malcolm r*pes Alicia and she has a daughter Corrine ( the mom). So that makes Corrine and Christopher half siblings( same mom different dad). But Olivia and Malcolm raise Corrine as their own so she doesn’t know her and Christopher are related until later. But they still get married and end up getting disowned and that’s where this movie begins. Sorry for the essay💀

The son is the same guy in Stranger Things!

The sequel to this is even crazier! It has James from big time rush in it and trust me… if you think this is crazy you’re in for it with the sequel

You guys should review the original Flowers in the Attic from the 80’s with Kristy Swanson. If you thought this lifetime version was wild, you’ve seen nothing yet compared to the original. Great pick!

Definitely watch flowers in the attic:the orgin which takes place before this movie and you see how the grandma become so evil

No need to say sorry! I appreciate you taking the time to explain this absolute disaster of a family to me lol

I keep getting mixed comments about the old one. Literally about 50/50 saying its good and others saying its terrible

That makes sense. The performances are way more over the top in the 80’s one. The book, which its based on, by VC andrews is a ton better. Id for sure check into if Lifetime did any other movie adaptions of VC andrews books. She has a knack for creating the most dysfunctional unsettling families. Lifetime movies are truly a hidden gem, Im so happy you guys are reviewing them 😉

I only know the whole story because they made a short series on lifetime explaining it, so it’s still fresh in my brain.💀Someone else commented about it too.
