Hey guys :) Should the High Mid layer cover the frequencies from 500hz - 2000hz? And should I also turn off the effects in the High and the Sub layer? Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us Alex!

Axel Boy

Hey Aftrbrth! Yes! Fundamentally your high mid ,ayer will operate there, its wise to cut the lows below that if you have a the low-mid layer in operation too. But there can be some high freq content, just make sure its not clashing too much with your high freq layer!!

Certainly turn off effects for the sub, except maybe for a little distortion pre-EQ. High frequency layer can have some effects like chorus etc, but try not to distort it too much as it may become harsh!
