September Devlog: Cam Wars & Agency Final (Patreon)

As The Agency Episode 3 nears its finale, I wanted to share the progress I’ve made on Cam Wars.

First off, The Agency Episode 3 v0.9.9.1 is on the way. In this update:

Daniella — all scenes will be completed

Evelyn — all scenes will be completed

Valerie — all scenes will be completed

Leda — all scenes will be completed

On Cam Wars, the programming is almost done, just a few bugs to fix and a couple of small systems to finish.

In this post, I’ll talk about the new Tinder-style app, the more helpful quest system, and the updated texting system.

Tinder-style appThe app scans for characters near your current location on the map and shows you potential matches. That means new locations = new people to meet. Each match comes with its own unique dialogue and storyline.

As you can see in the screenshots, I built it to work a lot like real Tinder. When you get a match, you’ll receive a phone notification.

Who you match with—and your preferences—are totally up to you. The first time you open the app, you’ll set up your profile and choose your preferences. You can change them anytime in Settings.

New Quest systemYour main quests, side quests, and the exact requirements to finish each one are all listed in a helpful, easy-to-follow quest log. You can open this menu from your phone whenever you want.

New real-time messagingMessages from all apps flow into one inbox, clearly labeled by which app they came from—so you don’t have to hop into each app and hunt for messages. It’s also tied into the phone’s notification system, so you’ll get instant alerts.
