Dragon Leveling Ch.18

Summary: The morning after the day he was killed by his girlfriend, Issei woke up and saw two things. First was Rias Gremory sleeping next to him in his bed, and second was a floating blue window congratulating him on becoming The Player and telling him to go work out as a daily quest.

So, Kang Tae-Shik is dead, Kokabiel is dead, and Issei has (informally) met Vali. Can't wait to see what comes next.

Well, we saw that Vali arrived to take his body back before it could happen, but the actual reason is that Issei won't know or be able to do so because the System won't let the prompt for extractable shadow appear. Kokabiel, weak and arrogant as he is (and just as you say, foolish) is still an important figure among the Three Faction, a leader of Grigori. If Issei bring someone like that back and make into his minion, he will put himsellf as a target, leading to the possibility of his growth being hindered by those that would think of him as 'too dangerous' because of such ability (if he can do so with kokabiel, what stop him from doing it to others - kind of situation). Plus, it certainly will cause a lot of dramas in the story that I will have to address because of the same situation 😂, so you know... Hope this is a good answer to your question.

Nice chapter. The fight seemed a bit too one sided, but I’m going to assume that’s because of the good boy points. I love the cool and level headed issei moment at the end. Hope to read more of this soon enough. Keep up the great work

Hey i wanted only Kokabiel version of Beru or Iron. Both are ideal comedic inspiration for Shadow Kokabiel development. Make Kang a Shadow soldier in Ragnarok he is Shadow by nane Kira

Feels a little rushed but I liked it all the same. Can't wait for the next update. 😊 p.s. maybe have issei make one or two of the cerberi part of his shadow army, since in the game solo leveling arise, the cerberus jinwoo fought became one of his shadows, named cerbie, just how baruka became blades.

Don't worry. Just like Gladio being the heir of Igris, Glacia of Tusk, Lycaon to Tank... Issei gonna have a badass General Shadow when the time come that is comparable to Beru in term of strength and comedic relief. You'll see 😁

Liked the chapter, bit of a shame that Issei didn’t resurrect Kokabiel but it’s understandable considering he is a leader of the Grigori. On the other hand, that battle did leave plenty of dead Cerberus and fallen angels to resurrect. Am rather curious what becoming a shadow would do to a fallen angels light Magic if it were to have any effect.

This list is just for me because I wanna keep track of the harem (tho correct if I’m wrong), so far it’s Rías, Akeno, Asia, Aphrodite (btw is this the one from Record of Ragnarok?), and Grayfia with potential/maybe Hae-In, Isla, Mirei, Alicia, and Yasaka Anyway great work as always can’t wait for the next one!!
