Ok, af far as modeling I think this is it for the shoes, there is some detail on the sole that I think I'll have to cheat and do it in gimp, otherwise I don't think I have the required skill to sculp it and it might even be overkill, give it a look and tell me what you think

Looks great! I think it's fine to add the sole detail in the texture. The geometry is already much more detailed than I'm used to from most other models. Oh, one more thing I noticed. I think most sports shoes are cushioned thicker around the heel. If it's that thin it looks like it would cause blisters.
