The blurb: With Rich unable to escape infection at #gamescom2025, it's down to John and Alex to share their impressions from the show, with Oliver completing the panel. The team share their thoughts on the Switch 2 ports of Elden Ring and Final Fantasy 7 Remake in the wake of very negative and very positive reactions from the showfloor. Alex is optimistic about Microsoft's proposed fix for StutterStruggle, while intriguing specs emerge of what may well be a Valve home console. Beyond that, there's more Gamescom reaction, plus thoughts on Kirby Air Riders.

About Valve Fremont, those Geekbench results are a bit above a Ryzen 5 3600 (especially single core), and the RX 7600 is a bit above a RTX 2070 Super according to TPU and 3DCenter index. Though that's weird they use this CPU, maybe for power efficiency in a tiny box. GPU should be a RX 7600M XT then. Anyway it may be a step along the way to release something someday… I hope they make something more compact and transportable than usual consoles, to expand use cases.
