Coming This Week to Digital Foundry (Week 38, 2025) (Patreon)
Content
Hi everyone and welcome to your latest weekly update about what's filling up the #content pipeline! In addition to this, I'm happy to report that progress is continuing behind the scenes no revamping and improving Digital Foundry as a business. I'm particularly happy with the work being done on our new website.
Part of the plan is to ensure that all of the work we do is properly represented across all media - we want to make sure our work sits on a state-of-the-art website. We want to do a newsletter too. I know a lot of you weren't receptive to reels/shorts in the survey, but we're also noticing that other people are exploiting our work in those formats too, so maybe we should be? Meanwhile, we've made important steps in setting up the DF Retro podcast.
I'm extremely excited about the future but for now, let's talk about the present.
Alex wants to take a look at Dying Light: The Beast on PC, but review code isn't ready yet. He's returning to his big DLSS Switch 2 video, which is shaping up very nicely. No real spoilers here except to say that the "DLSS Lite" upscaler is really a thing and we're looking forward to talking about it. There's an image of it above from Star Wars Outlaws. What you can't see is the interesting "wobble" effect on the S2 side...
Rich (ie me) is finally reaching the end of the Strix Halo piece, which will be arriving this week. Not too much to comment about beyond that bearing in mind everything happening behind the scenes, but all will be revealed soon.
John has finished his superb video on the embargoed #content I discussed last week and sets off tomorrow for two weeks in Japan, networking with developers, having fun and visiting the Tokyo Game Show!
Tom is heading straight into the console versions of Borderlands 4. We think we've done enough on the PC version already in this week's Direct.
Oliver is going to be our man reviewing Dying Light: The Beast - but he's also keen on reviewing the iPhone 17 Pro too.
Metal Gear Solid Delta and Gears Reloaded aside, it's all been a bit quiet as of late, but we're looking forward to the excitement returning soon - and, as always, if there are comments to share or potential projects to suggest, please do so. Have a great week!
